I Have Ideas... (reposts and open question)

I've been thinking a lot lately about turning my attention towards original works. Apart from being part of Cassiopeia Quinn, I don't actually have a reputation as a story teller! And I think, to that end, I have to actually pick one of these things and tell a story!

I think I would love to have at least one book, or even two, to show by the end of the year. Some short story that's self contained, or maybe something that opens up to a wider story that can launch a webcomic or a kickstarter for a book or something. I just... have so many ideas and I get easily distracted from accomplishing ONE thing.

So I kinda wanted to poll you guys, ultimately the decision would be up to me what I choose to do. If I'm being honest, I'll likely keep getting distracted as I toy around with new stories or new ideas very often. It's just kinda how I am. I'll definitely still do fan art, when the mood hits me too.

I'll create a proper poll in the next few days, to present a list of projects I think I could do in the near future. but I wanted to take some time to ask what universes or which characters would you like to see most. I'll present that same question towards my twitter and my discord audiences. But I think with you guys, being my biggest supporters, I wanted to weigh your thoughts the most.

So, in short, what Psudonym Project would you like to see a story come out of? Any of the ones pictured above? Something I'd forgotten about? Feel free to leave comments or send me a message over discord, patreon, or even my email. Thank you all, in advance.

Coco & Blondie, and the Julie as a techno-majokko.

Emanuele Barone

The Magical Girl SCP thing definitely sounds fun. But if you want to do like a one off thing, then possibly a short romance thing between two of your paired characters might work?

Michael Brewer

This might be wishy-washy of me to say, but I feel like it kind of depends on what sort of vibe you want to express or feel that you could successfully express? Because most of these options are clearly very different genres. I feel like Technomancer has the most narrative possibility, but I personally would like to see you focus on Dinosaur Girl for the body horror. But if you wanted to keep going for the weird superheroine semi or obviously sexy vibe i guess I would prefer to see Goldy.

Jeff Grey

You've got a lot of good material to choose from, but I would absolutely love to see more of Coco and Blondie the most, including a story with them.

Fatal Phantoon

Either Coco and Blondie, or our intrepid chef. I want to see her wild adventures in cooking!

Michael Campen

The horndoggo within me implores you to do something with the escapades of long-distance pals Coco and Hannah. Coco seems like a sexually confident type who'd be down to help her friends through their own explorations. But since yer curious about what we'd like to see, maybe I should do the opposite! As someone vocally preferential for Chef content, I think expanding and centering on them in anything beyond the occasional 4koma would be... kinda dull. Chill chef in a NYC studio figuring out how to be an iron chef sounds cool on paper, maybe, but methinks it wouldn't really jangle the creative lobe often. I mentioned in discord once or twice about maybe doing some minikomas about what led to chef's tattoo choices, but outside of that I just think they're cute and deserve a fresh pic here and there.

PygmalionPrime

I would to see Coco and Blondie the most out of these the most. A nice relationship story between them thats more down to earth compared to Cassiopeia Quinn sci-fi. But whatever you do end up going with ill definitely read, and would love to grab a copy if you decide to sell it as a book

NeverRanBefore

Switching between romance and action stories could be a lot of fun. Depending on how fast I can make something with all that.

Psudonym

Salamander right? I think that'd be hard to revisit though I'm sure Gunwild would agree to it, I think of it as a huge amount of work. Like, an extreme amount.

Psudonym

It's likely that Biomancer and Technomaner take place in the same universe under the general banner "Magical Girl SCP"

Psudonym

If you're thinking two, then I'd recommend contrasts of ~passion~ and !ACTION! ~passion~: Coco and Blondie make for sexy antics. If you want to a deeper story than "let me teach you how to Ara~Ara", highlight the social stigmas that Coco deals with (and overcomes) in rural America/conservative suburbs and Blondie waking up to that problem as she realizes her own sexuality is not the "default straight" that was drilled into her head. (Many Handsy gets a cameo?) !ACTION!: The *mancer team concept you have (Julie, Dinomancer, gold lady whose name I forget). The main point is setting so they can just fight Cthulhu or something, with Julie having center stage (to avoid overloading the reader; because she seems like your most fleshed out so far of the options; and, because a Technomancer would be at a disadvantage against a giant flesh-and-blood creature.) Freebie bad title idea: "Of Mancers & Madams"

Tukaro

I remember female knight artwork from long ago. If that is your original, I would love to see some sequential short story of it.

Brian Kim

I would like to see more Biomancer, maybe in a action/horror/adventure. The Psudonym Project could be a short form story with the picture and each entry is a chapter to a longer story.

I'm torn between Gunmetal and something involving your romantic, slice of life-y characters (Coco, Ash and Rose..)

McZed

Okay, so, i'm clearly in the minority, but I would LOVE to see something with Goldilocks, because I always like the idea of inanimate transformations and similar situations, and so that fits my particular niche fairly close. However, I would also like to see the Dinomancer concept expanded on more, as I feel that is by far the most unique "superhero/weird ability" concept I've seen in a while, and I'd love to see that more fleshed out (ba dum cheee). Ultimately, however, it all falls down to what YOU have an idea for. Trying to take a concept and forcing a story onto it almost never works out well. Which of these 'doodle' characters do YOU feel there is a story just waiting to be told? Which one do YOU have a cloud of ideas storming around for? Because if you have a good, solid story and you overlay an existing but minimal IP on top of it, you can get Pirates of the Caribbean. If, however, you take an existing IP, and just try to force a story onto it just because you 'need' a finished product, then you get its sequels.

Stephen Mumford

I'd like to see continuations of the stories of Cocolette and Pretty Julie Technomancer, honestly! :D

J. A. Storm

You might want to consider if some of the ideas can be combined. Like a sci-fi/fantasy world setting could draw on a couple of the characters, like agents that fight supernatural/superhuman monsters. For that matter, you could use the same world for all of them, just from different view points within it.

Temperjoke

I like the dynamic with #2

wynn728

Something with biomancer and/or the cyborg centaur

Nuzak

#2 is def my favorite, I'd love to hear stories of how they met and their dating and stuff, things you've teased us with current illustrations. I also like #5 as a techy character, and #7 has just such gorgeous lighting and style and the character is a nice mix of cute/sexy/sporty. So any of these 3 would make me personally the most happy. :)

Matej Jan

Why pick one? Do short stories with several characters?

B'rye Ahn

I know you’ve got Julie Technomancer gestating the longest, but I think that Dinomancer would flex some muscles I’ve wanted to see flexed that CQ doesn’t provide as much of. Good ol Fleshy delights!

ZBL

In would say focus on two of your own projects: Gunmetal, and Cocolette and Blondie interchangibly or simultaneously. They're the ones you have the most content for now. Keep Handsie on the backburner until you have your other stories established.

Mr Lit

Well, I think you've got a lot of action-adventure dynamics in Cassiopeia Quinn, so you might want a change of pace from that or to pick a project that expands range. So to that extent Coco and Blondie, Chef Girl, and Handsy have very different tone. Then again, you could tackle Dinomancer with some horror elements, but with the twist that she's got some body horror going on (apex predator horror story?). I love Pretty Julie Technomancer, however she may be falling into the narrative space of a lot of things going on right now, like The Owl House and Amphibia (minus the isekai element), so you might feel like you're being derivative (though you are not!), or maybe you can use what you see there as a guide or inspiration (which is ok! Just like how no one draws without some sort of reference, writing can use references as inspiration too!). Rambling a bit and not exactly narrowing it down, but I figure pointing out the pros and cons might be more useful for you decision making process.

DKN

I dunno what the various ones are called and can't remember back stories unfortunately, but I'm a superhero, sci-fi, and kink fan, and guessing stories from looks alone I'd love to see more of the golden girl and her friend (Coco & Blondie?), the tech-girl with the floating hand stuff, and the girl in the shorts and collar.

enygma

Coco and Blondie I’d love to see develop and the same for Chef Girl

Tai Korczak

sounds great. but before the poll, can you tell us about each stories?

asdd

i'd love to see Cocolette & Blondie's story fleshed out into a short comic (or story or whatever?), it's such a fun concept and i think that setting would lend itself well to a short self-contained comic. i'd *also* love to see Pretty Julie Technomancer turned into a full comic but that probably doesn't work quite as well as a short comic? of course if it's "issue #1" of a longer series ...?

LH

5# is interesting as it’s different characters. Meaning you already have a cast all visually deistic in some way.

Lamp

Definitely #6 - the Techno-kinetic lady with the cyborg arm
