Extended Psu-Universe
Added 2021-01-12 11:01:01 +0000 UTCIt's been a while since we've seen Ms. Fairbanks. And it's been a while since we've seen Drymouth as well.
I've been toying around with the idea of mashing a bunch of my concepts together, and the two/three stories that seem like the most natural fits with each other are the Pretty Julie Technomancer universe, the whole Magical Girl SCP universe, and Biomancer. Hell, writing all those titles next to each other it's easy to see the overlap!
One idea would be to take the character of Ms Fairbanks and have her take on a role like... Integra Hellsing from the anime Hellsing. She even kinda looks and acts like her! Basically Fairbanks could keep her mentor role to Julie, but critically she's an important figure in the SCP equivalent of this universe. And she's trying to find ways to make all these monsters useful to her. Monsters like Drymouth won't make it easy.
My only issue with combining the universes is that Julie's story is rather more.... subdued. It's still a story about a kid and her social life. If I put her into a story about a supernatural strike team, well that potentially changes the entire thing. But is that bad? Well, I figure this is just an avenue worth exploring while I figure out what I wanna do as a creator.

Ok I love this idea, and I’m so happy to see drymouth again!! She’s a sleeper fave of your OC’s for me and I really wanna see how she interacts with Fairbanks :D

2021-01-12 22:05:11 +0000 UTCYou should make the SCP equivalent have the acronym "PSU". Like, uhhhh, "Psuedo-Science University" (Pseudo-Science=Magic; it even has a second-order reference!) Or "Paranormal Society for the Unidentifiable".

2021-01-12 17:17:58 +0000 UTCIt is totally OK to have subdued stories take place in a world where crazy Ness is happening on the regular. And Julie's stories still have some dark moments that fit. Maybe she represents the idea that things are supposed to get better?
