Daisy
Added 2020-09-03 14:30:37 +0000 UTCI'm really happy with this pic. Even the hands look pretty good. The smooth and bright coloring also fits the Nintendo aesthetic a lot. But I guess the thing to ask about is, why a black Daisy? Well for me it was really simple. I saw some people draw the other princesses as black and I'm like. That's fun. I like Daisy too, so I'll draw her. I don't really think of it as replacing anything, but just having more fun with the princesses and including other folks in the Nintendo dress up games.
I think I'll draw more Nintendo princesses of all kinds for a while. They're just a joy to draw, in any context. Whether that's playing sports or playing with piranha plants.
(again, sorry for the late post. Probably another week of really odd sleep)

This is perfectly great. People have been leaning toward depicting her as slightly tan, being that she's supposedly from a desert-ish kingdom, so why not go dark skinned altogether? Dark skin looks great with red hair and a yellow/orange wardrobe, so why doesn't the big N not just go all in on it?
