Gunmetal Girl
Added 2020-06-02 10:00:02 +0000 UTCNow... this might seem like heresy but I've been thinking about splitting off "Gunmetal" from "Colette." This has a couple of advantages for me really. One, "Colette" as a concept has some origins way back as a community thing. Though I was largely responsible for the original design, and possibly I'm the only person that cares to draw her today, it's still something that could cause unforseen issues in the future if I took Colette around and say... made published comics. It's complicated, and I would rather avoid that.
Now, there's no way in hell I'd stop drawing Colette. She'd just be less a cyborg, more like her original intent. And she'd definitely would be showing up in more kinky drawings. However, if "Gunmetal Girl" goes off on her own thing, she could be more like... Battle Angel meets Tomb Raider. I might enjoy making a short comic about that, and it could be her own thing. And then she can be all adventure! Danger! Treasure! Robots! And everyone could have a grand old time.

I don't think they have any way to take legal action if one rando came out and claimed they came up with the character once in a hypothetical you started publishing comics with Colette. I thought you had different continuities of Colette, like one being Gunmetal and another being regular/kick city. Cyborg Tomb Raider? As long as she does the sexy ledge climbing with the handstand thingy (I don't even know what it's called).
