Anyway, this is Tara. She's my friend, Aidenke's character. You can find out more about his OCs at his deviantart site. We were kinda talking bout possible drawings with his girls and I had this idea and he was okay with it. And I sorta went overboard on doing it but it was fun.
I think... a lot of people really appreciate "cute sexy." I think there's a way that some adult art can look unfriendly or less inviting. Now, I'm not talking about subject matter. I think dark subject matter can be awesome, and if it's art and not hurting anybody then more power to you. But when it comes to kinky or erotic art, a certain level of playfulness can keep the visuals from feeling uncomfortable. It's a delicate balance.
I imagine that's true of kinky stuff in general. The best ones know how to strike the right approachable tone, while hitting you in the kinks you wanna see.

That's one of the things I've always tried to do with a lot of my work -- showing the lighter side and the FUN side that makes all the time spent gearing up make all the sense. It's a nice, welcoming approach to something many might find scary or intimidating and thanks for realizing it so darn well. :)
