There’s a reason why sketches can often be more attractive than the final product. Because brute force on your art can rob a piece of its energy. When up against a really difficult part of your drawing, sometimes it’s worth it to just take a break and come back with a fresh perspective.

There are times when I’m sad and the characters are useful ways to express that sadness outwardly. Other times I just think they’re really attractive and they’re either “people I want, or I want to be”
