Ready to Dig
Added 2020-03-18 10:00:02 +0000 UTCJust some rough sketches, slightly inspired by Minecraft. I could probably talk for hours how I think Minecraft is a special videogame. But I bet a few of you have young relatives or family that can tell you about it better than I can.
I think I would enjoy drawing characters who carry around lots of gear. I’m reminded of old fashioned Dungeons and Dragons art, where you can see the artist detailed the stitching or various pockets of the characters. Everything had a use and it was always fun to imagine what those uses could be. A character could be layered in gear, and each told a little bit more of a story.
Here, I just wanted a spot for the Minecraft essentials! A pickaxe, a spade, a sword, and some torches are a good start. But where can you place the 64 square meters of cobblestone?

You put the 64 square metres of cobble in your back pocket, of course. Right next to the couple of hundred tonnes of iron ore!
