Man it's been a while since I've drawn her. For those who don't know Casey, she comes from a project nearly ten years ago that was supposed to be an origin story for Colette. Before I got into lewding her up all the time, anyway. But the actual original comic, as much of it as I finished anyway, I'm still quite proud of.

It's just worth saying that, since I've spent a lot of time drawing lewd Colette it's sorta pushed aside in my mind, the sentimental adventure story I was working on here. It's not that the lewd art and the sentimental story can't exist as their own separate things, but I think it can still be awkward. So nowadays, I try to keep a clear separation in my mind about what stories I can make for adult things and what other stories are better suited keeping the lewd stuff at a minimum.

It's actually, I think, worked for Cassiopeia Quinn. Because when I draw that, I'm really thinking about what works for the character at any given moment. And I'm not trying to make every panel sexier than the last. SOMETIMES Cassiopeia should be sexy, totally. But if it were in the forfront of my mind that Quinn is a lewd comic, then I think it would change the tone of the story.

So to that end, Casey here belongs to a less lewd version of Colette's world. Does that mean she'll never show up again? I don't know. It might be worth figuring out, though.
