She doesn't really dress in cute clothes a lot, let alone a maid costume, so I wanted to get across some of that in the expression. I think a lot of pinup art, especially in the manga scene, uses embarrassment and the like as endearing traits. I think it has it's places. Sometimes it can be used as a way of excusing really ridiculous sexualized clothes. And that's not totally bad. It's just something that doesn't belong with every character.
So, to talk about Chef Girl for a moment (who needs a proper first name at some point) she was assigned male at birth. I'm not trying to make her commentary on trans characters in fiction or anything, but when I got to making up her story that's just where my mind was at the time. She's not new to feminine clothes, but she doesn't wear them too often. It's a special occasion sort of thing, and in the times she feels like she can pull them off, it's a really nice moment for her.
So finally getting to spend one Halloween as the sexy maid should be fun for her.
