Outsiders

(Batman and the Outsiders 2019 issue #2) This is just referring to a moment where Cassandra Cain and Duke Thomas (a relatively new addition to the bat mythology) teamed up to do an attack that completely backfired on them. They're the young blood in the new cast of Outsiders so they've got some kinks to work out, working together.
I could talk a little while about what it took to "figure out" how Duke sounds to me in fan art. That's a thing in fandom art circles. People who get really into it, start having their own voices for the characters. And sometimes it's close to something everyone agrees on, or sometimes it's a quirk of that specific creator. It's not unlike actual comics of course. Except this time, no one's really getting paid and there aren't any editors to tell you it was a bad idea.
