I started concepts for Fairbanks, looking for a Queen Beryl type of character for Julie's Magical Girl story. However as that has gone on, Fairbanks has become something of a mentor and protective of Julie. Her lessons might not turn out to be the best though.

I feel like Fairbanks will be an antagonist who tries to appeal to Julie's personal shortcomings to tempt her over to the dark side.

2019-06-04 05:04:31 +0000 UTCIt would be an interesting concept for there to be a protective teacher-student relationship, but a fundamental contrast in philosophies. Close, protective, empathetic, but also striving continually to prove each other wrong.

It was suggested that I find someone distinctly different than myself, so that I could see a different perspective. That way even if I decided not to follow their path, I can at least understand why.
