High res in April's dropbox.
It's been a while since we've seen Julie! The more I think about the character and the world, the more I know I want to make it into something someday. I just think she's an engaging character, with a hell of a cool super power.
But what I think makes her stand out to me is the range of her personality. She's kinda a morose person. There's a combination of tragedy in her past and how she resents being in a "normal" life, that leaves her moody and abrasive. She knows she could just get by with her exceptional powers and talent, and go things her own way, but she's actually terrified at the prospects of being alone.
Despite that she's anti social, kinda hates being around people or talking to people. And yet I could totally see her as a person with a YouTube channel. A surprising number of youtubers are actually these shy people in person, it's neat to see. It's like these normal introverts can flick on a switch when they need to perform. And that's sort of what I see with how some super hero characters act. Julie might be the sort of person that can flick on that switch when she needs to.
That said, she'd never reveal her actual powers on YouTube. If people found out what she could do, then she'd be more isolated than ever. I think she just has a video where she refrubishes old VCRs or other tech from before she was born. Lots of dudes on the internet think she's reading from someone else's script. That's fine, she doesn't read internet comments anyway. (at least she says she doesn't...)
