Added 2019-03-27 10:00:02 +0000 UTCI don't think I talked about this sketch on the patreon. You guys remember that super hero design? I haven't drawn her in a bit but she's still a cool looking character. I was thinking her power would be to transform into metals or metal like substances. Currently, it's given her the name Goldie.
This is a really quick sketch compared to the other "material test" type drawings but I'd love to do a smoother version of this. Getting a shiny metal reflection over smooth bodies is super challenging. And I think the ideal method would be to simplify it, rather than trying to recreate an accurate reflection. It would also be easier to read visually too.
I think some of you guys have started noticing my penchant for transformation, and even petrification. I think this character could be indulging in that. But I think she's still more of an active super hero type and I picture her like X-men's colossus. Being awesome and bad ass.
However, Gold is a super soft metal. Forming metal skin can be seen as a sort of passive power. It might be interesting to picture her as a support character that can also transform to various metal objects. Again... that's a whole nother world of deviantArt esque kink. I kinda love it.

2019-03-27 10:47:17 +0000 UTCDid you see the cool USAvengers issue where the villain crows "Haha I had my robots build this SOLID GOLD battle suit!" and the heroes iron-man-type goes "wait, solid gold, not gold plated?" and just stomps over using her suit to tear the villain's apart because it's soft. (I also like this as example of problem with robot henchmen who'll just do what they're told)
