I’m starting to think my “ideal vacation” is simply one where I can do my drawing and my work in a completely new place that’s nicer than my own home. And there’s new things to eat. And some new things to see. And the transit is as painless as possible. All those things sound perfectly doable.
Does anyone have any advice on Ultrabooks that are light and have a great screen? I can live without specialized gaming graphics cards, as long as the thing has good ram and an available dock so I can dock the whole system at my home office.

2nd for Lenovo X1 Yoga and Surface Pro. I support hundreds of Lenovo laptops at work and many use the very excellent Lenovo Thunderbolt 3 dock. Also have used and support dozens of Surface Pro devices. Never seen an X1 Carbon/Yoga fail. Surface Pro might be a better pen but I'm not an artist so obviously not the best source. Would not recommend the Lenovo X1 Tablet. Haven't tried the latest one yet but the last few iterations had poorly designed accessories and lots of dock problems. Lenovo Outlet store is a great place to find deals.
