A Little Out of Character...

I understand the reasons why people don't want bat characters to use guns but if I were to make a book I totally would find a way to make a bat kid using a gun be something meaningful and scary and something that everyone knows is out of character. Well... funnily enough this week and last week featured a comic where both Damian Wayne and Jason Todd used a gun. So... maybe I wouldn't be that groundbreaking. And Batman's used rifles before... whatever. Comics are complicated.
Also sexy Evangelion style undersuit on the right because I feel like I haven't scared off enough of the new patrons who might not know I do kinky drawings...

2018-07-13 00:51:07 +0000 UTCI mentioned this before when I sketched her using different tools. A lot of the action with her COULD be expanded a lot if they started using her gear more creatively. And you could get a character very capable of Jackie Chan levels of improvisation. So while using a gun as a bludgeoning tool is possible, I'd reserve that for times when it would MEAN something to use a gun like that. Otherwise, she could use things like bike helmets or belts or other enemies as "weapons."

2018-07-12 19:48:37 +0000 UTCLots of comics and writers now, reserve even VAGUELY gun shaped things for special moments in the story. The Grapple Launcher is about the only exception but I haven't visually seen the launcher gun itself in a while. There are a lot of good reasons people want to avoid the imagery of a bat person using a gun. But a couple times now in the past few weeks they've used it to heighten dramatic moments.

I'm kind of surprised we haven't ever seen a move where Cass is fighting a group of goons and uses or moves the gun they're holding against them. Like uses the butt end. Shoots one in the foot. That sort of thing.
