When in Doubt, Draw someone in front of Fire

This was a pretty nice quick sketch. It's a little too rough to make it into a comic book but the expression and the haziness of it adds to the scene a lot. A lot of finished art can look too clean or precise, which is why the impressionists pulled away from that.
I'm not going to call this an impressionist masterpiece. But it is something that lets my brush work show. This can be an okay thing. The piece evokes the story that I want it to. That, in a busy day of playing too many videogames, might just be enough.
