It's hard to say if that look is really good with just the turtle neck that goes past your hips, or if the girl just sells it by being pretty too. I don't think I deal with that question enough as a character designer. I'm still busy learning the anatomy before I am really developing realistic and exciting looks.
I think that extends to my regular life. I love just tossing on a hoodie. It tends to fit my mood most days too.
