Haven't drawn /co/lette in a while. Wish I came up with something more creative than just a standard model pose. Oh well. High Res in the Dropbox.
I've admitted this to myself for a long time but I feel like my knowledge of anatomy is actually unusually weak for a professional artist. Maybe not completely out there with anatomy fails but I simply DON'T KNOW a lot of useful traits on the body. I've never taken the time to sit down with proper lessons specifically related to anatomy. I know a bunch about gesture and rendering and form and perspective and a lot of good things. But ultimately I wish I knew the muscles of the forearm a little better.
Because of you guys, I'm in a much better financial situation than I have been in years. So I think I'm going to take a few lessons to take things a bunch more seriously. I can't stop work to simply study, that's for sure. But I will be learning while I am still producing sketches and comics.
I'm going to start with some online video lessons, and in the future I may find some local live drawing classes. But one thing at a time as lessons can get pricey and be extremely time consuming. The Proko lessons are very nice and easy watching, and I figure on starting with that.
