There are a lot of things I can talk about on this one and it's a piece I'm really happy with how it came out. Ignoring a couple of spots I know that could be better like some erant lines and slightly off anatomy in spots, I think it sets pretty successfully a simple mood and place.

It remainds one of my more popular drawings and covers somewhat the same ground. There's more detail in the older piece, and in a bunch of ways it's just a cleaner and better image. But the real trick is, that the older piece took something like a couple weeks to finish. I definitely enjoyed inserting all the extraneous details which make the space look more lived in but it absolutely took more time to do.

This new piece, took just under 3 hours on a single evening and accomplishes some of the same results. I thank a number of factors, but largely it resulted from a very efficient and quick process. I could probably utilize this to do comics that look this good and colorful without taking that much time.

Third, I think I expect to draw this character a few more times. She's definitely got a bunch of defining traits just from this image and title alone and I think she'd be fun to return to. The idea of just drawing an attractive chef has some appeal for me. And I don't have nearly enough excuses for drawing people making food.

Lets just call her, "Chef Girl" for now.
