I really didn't like this drawing
Added 2016-09-04 20:48:31 +0000 UTCIt felt lazy in a lot of ways. However the inking and color rendeirng was turning out alright. I just felt that it was a dumb pose and didn't really reflect what I like about the character. (It's Chun Li by the way in the racy Street Fighter 5 black dress.)
I started with a reference drawing, which is good practice if anything just to get more anatomy done. But then I got ambitious and thought about turning it into fan art. And it didn't look like the character at all. And I just felt blah about the whole thing. Even a more "dramatic" lighting didn't rescue it.

I wouldn't call it a failure as a piece of art, but as fanart, I didn't even know it was Chun-li until you mentioned it. :/ Oh well.
