I feel not only honored and privileged by this, but also purpose and responsibility to be my best and continue to give my best. This lifestyle I'm slowly finding out is the path that goes the furthest. It takes a lot of work, focus, sacrifice, discipline, selflessness. It's pretty hilarious to observe throughout a day how many times I have the inner dialogue where I try to override momentary desires and impulses by rationalizing how my actions affect the bigger timeline. Sometimes I lose. Mostly though nowadays, I win. And. I gotta say. The wins are always worth it. It's that age-old concept of delayed gratification. Patiently watching big projects and dreams unfold into reality gets you higher than any other drug I've ever tried. And that's saying a lot, cause I like certain drugs. And I still stand by the statement that, Everything Is A Drug. Every decision we make leads to a chemical reaction that designs our perception. So, be mindful of which ones you take. Be wary of ones that offer an immediate jolting surge of dopamine. This feeling fades as fast as it came and leaves you more empty than where you started, sending you right back for more and creating a loop. The ones that are your friends will take longer to feel the effects. They'll be there for you always, not to spoon-feed any of your appetites, but just to be there along for the ride with you, through the ups and downs. They will always challenge you, teach you. They may seem more gentle, but their effects are eternal. Actions inspired by love that are executed at your personal highest level is exactly that slow-building, patient drug. The secret's revealed in the very sentence: HIGHEST LEVEL. This is something we all have within us. We just gotta cultivate it £;^)
