OPTT: Chapter 106/107

Chapter 106: 5v5?!

"This..."

Sengoku's cloak was already soaked with cold sweat.

He knew far too well what this meant. If the Marines cooperated with Kaido today, the image of justice they had upheld for centuries would collapse overnight.

And the Neo Marines, watching from the shadows like a crouching tiger, would immediately seize the opportunity to replace them.

But on the other hand, if they didn't accept the offer...

Sengoku looked toward the massive Whitebeard fleet. His hand clenched into a fist.

This would be a brutal, bloody war. What kind of price would the Marines have to pay?

The tension on the battlefield reached its peak.

Whitebeard had already raised Murakumogiri, the power of the Tremor-Tremor Fruit gathering on the blade. Shanks' Griffon was three inches out of its sheath, Conqueror's Haki already spreading. Kaido's Beasts Pirates had reformed their attack formation, just waiting on a signal from the Marines.

Akainu finally couldn't hold back and growled, "Fleet Admiral! This isn't the time to hesitate!"

Just as things were about to explode—

Ron laughed.

"Hahahaha… Why make it so complicated?" His voice rang out loud and clear, echoing across the battlefield. "Has anyone ever stopped to consider…"

His gaze suddenly sharpened.

"When this war begins, how many husbands won't come home? How many children will never see their fathers again? How many parents will have to bury their sons?"

His questions struck like heavy hammers, smashing into everyone's hearts.

Some young Marine soldiers holding their rifles began to tremble. Even among the Whitebeard Pirates, thoughtful expressions began to appear.

Kaido snorted coldly in disdain. "Ron, spare me your ridiculous sympathy!"

His spiked kanabo slammed heavily against the deck. "The moment you sail these seas, you must be ready to die! Otherwise, how do you expect to conquer them?!"

Ron's gaze turned completely cold. "So Kaido, you're determined to fight?"

Kaido's dragon eyes narrowed but quickly steeled again. "Hmph." He turned to Sengoku. "As long as the Marines agree to cooperate, what does it matter if you and Red-Hair join forces?"

He glanced over the Marine formation, calculating their combat power. "Two Admirals, Sengoku, Garp, and me—five top-tier powerhouses. More than enough to hold you off."

He pointed toward the Whitebeard Pirates. "And don't forget, my 'Three Disasters' haven't even moved yet."

The entire battlefield tensed again.

All eyes returned to Sengoku.

Cold sweat beaded on the Fleet Admiral's forehead as he stared at the Den Den Mushi live broadcast in his hand. The comments section had exploded:

> "If the Marines actually cooperate, it's over!"

> "The World Government can rot!"

> "The Neo Marines are the real justice!"

> "What did Ace even do? Why must he die?"

> "Hahaha, pirates are just criminals. Still rooting for Admiral Sakazuki!"

> "Boring…"

---

Akainu took another step forward. "Fleet Admiral! This isn't the time to waver!" His magma-clad fist dripped lava. "Justice requires sacrifice!"

Veins bulged on Ron's forehead as he glared at Akainu.

Does this guy think about anything besides fighting?

Is a Marine Admiral's entire routine just: wake up, kill pirates, sleep, repeat?

Doesn't he scroll through his feed? Doesn't he watch TikTok? Doesn't he play any games?

His life must be tragic.

"Enough!" Ron suddenly roared. The purple markings around him instantly receded.

To everyone's bewilderment, he slowly pulled a smartphone from his pocket—the very one he used for entertainment—and tapped the screen with his finger.

Just as Sengoku was about to recover from his internal dilemma, Ron turned the screen toward the crowd.

"Everyone, I have a solution. One that won't cost a single soldier."

The screen clearly showed the login interface for Honor of Kings. After the opening animation finished, it loaded to the main screen.

"Instead of dying in a real fight with blades and bullets..." Ron slid his finger across the screen. "How about a fair 5v5 match? Best of five."

He glanced at Ace on the execution platform, then turned to Whitebeard. "If Whitebeard's side wins, the Marines release Ace on the spot and everyone goes home."

Then he looked toward the Marine formation. "If the Marines win…"

He turned back to Whitebeard and finished, "Then you retreat from Marineford. Sound fair?"

The battlefield fell into total silence.

Everyone was so stunned by the absurdity of the proposal that they couldn't even speak.

Play a game?

Settle this with Honor of Kings?

Was this guy serious?!

But the logic made sense. If it worked, no one would need to die. The problem could be resolved cleanly.

Garp was the first to crack, bursting out in laughter with a pfft. "Hahaha! That's actually a brilliant idea!"

Akainu's face was grim. He had never played the game and had zero interest. Of course he was against it.

But when he looked around, he realized that even if he protested, it wouldn't change anything.

Aokiji's mind was spinning: "…"

Kaido's eyebrows twisted into knots. "Ron! Are you f***ing kidding me?!"

"Not interested?" Ron's eyes suddenly turned cold.

Boom!

An overwhelming surge of Conqueror's Haki erupted from him.

Dark purple shockwaves burst outward in a ring, splitting the sea into a thousand-meter rift. The clouds overhead were torn to pieces.

"Then we'll just fight to the death."

Under that suffocating pressure, Sengoku finally caved. "Wait!" He wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. "Ron's idea… might actually work. No casualties. Still solves the conflict."

Whitebeard laughed heartily, slamming Murakumogiri onto the deck and shaking the Moby Dick three times. "Gurararara! Interesting! I accept!"

Under everyone's stunned gaze, the "Strongest Man in the World" casually pulled out a smartphone from his pocket—one three times the size of a regular phone.

He opened the Honor of Kings app. His match history? A solid string of wins.

"Whitebeard?!" Marco nearly dropped to the deck. "Since when did you—?!"

Whitebeard stroked his crescent-shaped mustache proudly. "Gurararara… I got bored during recovery. Solo-queued against Kaido and Sengoku every day."

He even wagged his phone at Sengoku. "That brat Sengoku's Luban No.7 gets stomped by me!"

Over in the Marine ranks, Sengoku's face flushed red. "Whitebeard! You—!"

Garp nearly fell over laughing, slapping his thigh. "Hahaha! No wonder you kept poking at your phone under the table during that meeting!"

Sengoku: "..."

Shanks re-sheathed Griffon. So this was Ron's "solution." He couldn't decide whether to laugh or cry.

"You really are something…"

Chapter 107: A Female?

But truth be told, Ron had played Honor of Kings extensively. With the bonus of Observation Haki's future sight, he hadn't lost a single match—unless he threw it on purpose.

And so, under the watchful eye of livestream cameras broadcasting to the entire world, the most absurd resolution to the Summit War was officially born:

Honor of Kings!

Ace, still chained to the execution platform, never dreamed his fate would be decided by a mobile game!

Ron put his phone away, his gaze flashing like lightning as it swept across all four factions.

The sea wind howled. His gray cloak flapped behind him, revealing faint, glowing purple patterns underneath.

"Since we're playing, let's go all out," he said. His voice wasn't loud, but it carried clearly to everyone present. "Marines, Whitebeard Pirates, Beasts Pirates, Red Hair Pirates—everyone participates."

He pulled out his phone again and began explaining the rules of engagement.

"Each faction will field five main players and two substitutes. Best of three series." Ron's eyes moved to each group's representative. "Now, confirm your rosters."

The Marine side immediately began to stir.

Everyone looked at each other.

Garp was the first to step forward, his knuckles cracking. "Hahaha! Let this old man go toe-to-toe with that old bastard Whitebeard!"

Ever since Honor of Kings came out, Garp had played every day. He had five permanent heroes unlocked and was undefeated in matchmade games.

Akainu's face was dark as the bottom of a pot. Magma dripped between his fingers. "This childish game..." he muttered through gritted teeth. But under Sengoku's stern glare, he reluctantly stepped forward. "Hmph."

He wasn't particularly good at the game, but with his talent, he figured he wouldn't be completely useless either.

If they didn't need high-ranking players, Sengoku would've subbed him out already. At this point, he wondered why Kizaru had vanished for so long without dealing with Doflamingo. Was he off on a beach vacation somewhere?

Aokiji lazily raised a hand. "Ahh... alright then..." He pulled out a frost-covered phone and yawned. "Got nothing better to do anyway."

He plopped down in a chair at the back and opened his phone, waiting to be added.

Sengoku sighed and went with it. After all, Honor of Kings had only recently launched, so everyone was on even footing. He didn't believe the other teams could outplay them just yet.

"Alright. Then it's me, Garp, Akainu, Aokiji as the main lineup…" He paused and looked to Tsuru. "Tsuru, support. My Luban is solid."

Tsuru: "...."

Then Sengoku turned to the reluctant Akainu. "Sakazuki, what role are you playing?"

Akainu's magma fists cracked ominously. He leaned slightly to the side, and a subordinate whispered, "Admiral, Angela's an easy pick. Just play Angela!"

Akainu's jaw tightened. "…Angela." His voice was so soft it was nearly inaudible.

"What?" Garp cupped a hand to his ear.

"ANGELA!!!" Akainu exploded, his face flushed red. "What?! I can't?!"

The whole battlefield fell silent for three full seconds.

Pffft— Garp was the first to lose it. "Sakazuki, you're playing a girl hero? Ohhh, so progressive~! Hahahaha!"

Aokiji couldn't stop himself either. "Arara... didn't see that coming..."

Garp was now on the ground, slapping his thigh. "Hahaha! The magma man playing the fire girl! Talk about poetic!"

Sengoku's face twitched, clearly holding back a laugh. "Alright… then I'll take Luban No.7, Garp will go top lane, Aokiji's the jungler, Tsuru supports, and…" He looked at the seething Akainu, "...Akainu plays Angela."

Just then, Staff Officer Tsuru adjusted her glasses and stepped forward. "Wait, Fleet Admiral."

"Each team needs two subs. Since Kizaru's MIA…" Her gaze swept to the rear. "Let Tokikake and Gion sub in."

Tokikake looked like he was about to cry. "I only know how to play Zou…"

Ann huffed. "I'm going Mulan."

And so, the Marine team was finalized:

Main players: Sengoku, Garp, Akainu, Aokiji, Tsuru
Substitutes: Tokikake, Gion

...

After hearing the Marines' roster, Whitebeard turned to his captains.

"Gurarararara! Anyone who knows how to play that Honor of Kings game, step up and fight for Whitebeard!"

The deck instantly buzzed with excitement.

Marco, already in his Phoenix form, soared into the air. "Whitebeard, I've played with you tons. Count me in!" Even his phone case had a fiery Phoenix pattern.

It was a one-of-a-kind custom design he made himself, just to tell it apart when all the phones got dropped in battle.

Third Division Commander Jozu lifted his sparkling diamond arm. "My hands are slow, but I'm a tank main. Zhang Fei's my guy." His phone was three times normal size and encased in a full diamond case.

Fifth Division Commander Vista elegantly unsheathed his twin swords. "I main Miyamoto Musashi. Matches my dual-wielding style perfectly."

He turned to Marco. "You promised to sketch my case. When's that happening?"

"Haha, don't worry Vista. After we save Ace, yours is first."

"Deal!"

Whitey Bay ran over from her icebreaker ship. "Whitebeard! I'm great at Sun Ce! Got a penta kill last time too!"

And just like that, the five-man lineup was formed. The other division captains could only sigh in frustration.

"Damn, if I'd known, I would've practiced!"

"I only know how to play Arthur..."

"I can play Angela better than Akainu!"

"..."

Whitebeard looked at his team with pride. His giant palm slammed the deck. "Gurararara! Excellent! I'll lead the team myself!"

He turned to Ron. "Our Whitebeard Pirates' lineup is:

Whitebeard

Marco

Jozu

Vista

Whitey Bay

Substitutes:

Blamenco

Curiel

Whitebeard waved his phone triumphantly at the Marines. "Sengoku! I'm going to crush your Luban No.7 with Cheng Yaojin! Time to get payback for last time!"

Marco added with a smile, "Whitebeard has us scrimming till dawn every day just to master his hero pool."

Jozu nodded. "Whitebeard's Cheng Yaojin is brutal. He dives towers like a madman and gets away clean."

Vista elegantly wiped down his phone screen. "And I'll use Miyamoto Musashi… to take good care of Admiral Akainu's Angela."
