OPTT: Chapter 98: Two Yonkos

“Gurararara...”

A hearty laugh echoed across the sea as Whitebeard slammed his Murakumogiri down onto the deck.
“Sengoku, get out here!”

Between sea and sky, a great war was on the verge of erupting.

Ron stood atop the Sea King's head, gazing at Marineford’s tightly fortified defense line in the distance.

Though it wasn’t the exaggerated “hundred thousand troops” like in the anime, the port was still packed with Marine elites—two of the Three Admirals, Akainu and Aokiji, were seated before the execution platform. Behind them stood dozens of Vice Admirals in justice cloaks, along with rows of Marine Colonels in neat formation.

As for Kizaru, he still hadn’t returned from Dressrosa.

And Doflamingo didn’t appear to have been captured either.

Ron noted not all the Seven Warlords of the Sea were present—Gekco Moria was nowhere to be seen, and naturally, Hancock hadn’t come. She was far too busy right now. The situation with Rebecca wasn’t resolved yet, and her factory was booming with millions of daily orders.

Among the Shichibukai, only Dracule “Hawkeye” Mihawk and Bartholomew Kuma had arrived.

At this moment, Mihawk stood alone at the edge of the Marine ranks. His sharp golden eyes were fixed on Whitebeard’s figure. It was clear he had come only for one thing—to challenge the World’s Strongest Man.

By contrast, Whitebeard’s side looked overwhelming. Forty-three pirate ships filled the surrounding sea, each packed with fearsome New World pirates.

The fourteen division captains of the Whitebeard Pirates lined up: Marco, Jozu, Flower Sword Vista, Ice Witch Whitey Bay and others. Judging by the numbers alone, the Marines were clearly at a disadvantage.

“Things aren’t looking good...”

On the execution platform, Fleet Admiral Sengoku’s brow tightened further and further.

He hadn’t expected Whitebeard to arrive so quickly. Nor had he anticipated this massive force.

If an all-out war broke out, even if the Marines won, the cost would be devastating.

He clenched his fists. His eyes drifted to Ace, bound by Sea Stone chains on the execution platform. At this moment, a rare moment of hesitation flashed across Sengoku’s face.

Just then, Akainu let out a cold snort and stood up.
“Pirates dare to attack Marineford head-on?”
Magma surged on his fist, radiating terrifying heat.

But just as Akainu prepared to strike, Sengoku suddenly raised his hand.
“Wait!”

The Fleet Admiral’s pupils contracted sharply. His gaze locked onto the sea beyond Marineford—there, a massive, vicious-looking pirate ship was tearing through the waves. A fierce dragon skull insignia was emblazoned on its black sail.

“That’s...”

Before Sengoku could finish, an earth-shattering dragon roar ripped through the sky!

A bolt of blue lightning shot up from the ship, and under the horrified gazes of everyone present, transformed into a giant dragon hundreds of meters long.

Its immense body blotted out the sun. Each metallic scale reflected cold light. Four enormous claws stood atop blazing flame clouds. Its terrifying aura made the entire sea tremble.

“Kaido!!!”

Sengoku’s roar echoed through the air. His forehead immediately broke out in cold sweat.

He had never imagined that this execution would draw a second Yonko into the mix!

Vice Admiral Tsuru, standing beside the platform, turned pale. She quickly analyzed the situation.

“Two Emperors appearing at once… even with the Shichibukai, our odds of winning are...”

She didn’t finish the sentence, but the tremble in her fingertips betrayed her shock.

Garp crushed the senbei in his hand with a crunch. His usual smile had completely vanished.

He looked at Ace on the platform with a complex expression.

This stubborn kid had insisted on becoming a pirate… and now, he had to stand here and watch his grandson be executed.

“Damn it...” Garp clenched his fists, the cracking of bones audible. His gaze turned to the massive dragon circling overhead.
“What the hell is Kaido doing here?”

The giant dragon let out another deafening roar, sending shockwaves rippling through the sea. From the Whitebeard Pirates’ fleet, Marco took to the sky in his Phoenix form, warily watching the uninvited guest.

On the Moby Dick, Whitebeard narrowed his eyes.

“Kaido... What are you playing at, you damn lizard?”

After circling high in the air, Kaido suddenly dove straight toward Marineford!

Sengoku’s expression shifted dramatically.
“ALL HANDS, PREPARE FOR BATTLE!”

Instant chaos erupted across the Marine ranks.

The formation wavered. Many soldiers gripped their rifles tightly, their hands trembling. The sheer presence of that monstrous blue dragon in the sky made even seasoned officers shiver. New recruits’ legs buckled where they stood.

“Maintain formation! Don’t panic!”
Akainu bellowed, his fists blazing with magma, ready to strike.

But then—Kaido twisted mid-air, his massive body creating violent air currents—and dove straight toward the Whitebeard Pirates!

Kaido opened his blood-red maw. Flames gathered into a blinding sphere of light in his throat. Then, with an earsplitting roar, he unleashed a massive pillar of dragonfire magma dozens of meters wide. The air twisted from the heat.

“Gurararara...”

Whitebeard let out a booming laugh, raising Murakumogiri in one hand. A layer of milky-white energy from the Tremor-Tremor Fruit enveloped the blade.
“You trying to show off with that petty trick?”

With a thunderous roar, Whitebeard brought the blade crashing down.

CRACK!

Space shattered like glass. The incoming dragonfire pillar split cleanly in two. The flaming torrent scattered into molten droplets that hissed into the sea, creating walls of steam.

Kaido circled in the air again. His draconic eyes gleamed with amusement.
“Old man Sengoku, want me to help out? I’ll carry you again!”

He deliberately raised his voice, even wagging his enormous dragon tail provocatively.

Sengoku’s face darkened like the bottom of a burnt pot. Veins bulged on his forehead.

That damned Kaido always made this joke when they crossed paths. During their last matchmaking mode livestream, the system had matched him with Kaido, who loudly “assisted” him in front of millions of viewers. Sengoku had almost rage-quit on the spot.

“Hmph.”
Sengoku suppressed his fury. Now wasn’t the time to get sidetracked.

Kaido then turned toward Whitebeard. His tone grew cold.

“Newgate, you’re so old you can barely stand, and you’re still trying to act like some noble hero?”
His voice dropped low, filled with killing intent.
“How about I send you off on your final journey...”

Whitebeard’s pupils contracted. His grip on Murakumogiri visibly tightened.

Marco instantly shot into the sky, blazing in Phoenix flames. Jozu’s diamond-like shine intensified. The entire Whitebeard fleet snapped to full alert.

“Interesting...”
Whitebeard slowly stood tall. Conqueror’s Haki began surging around him like a violent storm. “Looks like I’ll have to teach this brat some respect... before I deal with the Marines.”
