HRU: Chapter 241/242

Chapter 241: Yuki’s Support

Among the Big Three Sorcerer Families, many already knew about the ambiguous relationship between Yuki and Satoshi from nine years ago, so this scene didn't come as a surprise.

But for most minor clans and unaffiliated sorcerers like Nanami Kento, they knew nothing of Yuki's ties to Gojo Satoshi.

Even if someone mentioned Gojo Satoshi to them, most wouldn't remember that there had once been another Six Eyes Godson from the Gojo Clan—a genius who forged Zanpakutō and then vanished into a nine-year sleep.

Mention the Gojo Clan, and the first name that comes to mind is always Gojo Satoru, the wielder of the Limitless Technique. No one remembers Satoshi, his twin. Nine years is long enough for one person to completely fade from another's memory.

But while Gojo Satoshi was unknown to many, Tsukumo Yuki was not.

She was the only current female Special Grade sorcerer in the world.

Yuki—with her stunning figure and striking beauty—she had captured the hearts of countless young men.

Now, this beautiful and powerful Special Grade sorcerer was standing up to the General Directorate. Who was she defending?

Was it for Gojo Satoshi?

Just who was this Gojo Satoshi? Why did he hold such weight with the General Directorate? Why was he being targeted by Zenin Ogi, the younger brother of the Zenin Clan's head?

Could there really be another person in the Gojo Clan, besides Gojo Satoru, worthy of such attention?

Suspicion grew among the unaffiliated sorcerers watching the broadcast.

Unlike those in front of their screens, Zenin Ogi could truly feel the pressure Yuki was releasing in person.

As a Zenin representative in the General Directorate, Ogi knew exactly how dangerous Yuki was.

Star Rage had long been the signature technique of the Tsukumo Clan in Kyoto. But after Gojo Satoshi forged the Zanpakutō, Zabimaru, for her, Yuki became even more formidable.

The most critical factor, though, was that Yuki had once been the Star Plasma Vessel, and shared a mysterious connection with Tengen.

This made her a thorn the General Directorate didn't know how to handle.

And worst of all, Zenin Ogi knew he couldn't beat her.

He never imagined Yuki would step forward for Satoshi now.

Wasn't that nine-year-old scandal already ancient history?

To Zenin Ogi, love was a fleeting illusion. Nine years had passed. Surely, she would have forgotten Satoshi by now?

That was what he believed.

Now, however, he realized he had underestimated her.

Yuki turned out to be someone ruled by her emotions. Even now, in this situation, she stood for Gojo Satoshi.

As Yuki locked eyes with Zenin Ogi, freezing the entire room with her presence, a tall man stepped into frame. He smiled gently and said:

"Yuki, it's fine. What Zenin said isn't wrong. I really do intend to destroy Ryomen Sukuna's finger. That part is true."

That deep, calm voice immediately drew everyone's attention to Gojo Satoshi.

Two Gojo Satorus? No. That must be the Gojo Satoshi the General Directorate just mentioned, right? Same height, same hair, same eyes… Is he also a Six Eyes wielder?

When Nanami Kento saw Satoshi, he was stunned, then suddenly unsure.

Was it Satoru who had saved him before… or was it the man speaking now?

Nanami began to question his own memories. His earlier assumptions were no longer so certain. But he still lacked the evidence to know for sure.

One thing was clear—now that Gojo Satoshi had appeared, Nanami's expression grew increasingly serious as he watched the Cursed Corpse's live broadcast.

...

"Destroy Sukuna's finger? No way. Did I hear that right?"

"That's exactly what Gojo Satoshi just said!"

"He's going to do something this insane right after waking up? That's terrifying!"

"Gojo Satoshi really is the kind of guy who either makes no sound or causes a storm when he acts..."

"And the most important thing is, Tsukumo Yuki actually supports him!"

"Think about it. The goal is to destroy Ryomen Sukuna's finger! Of course the strongest Special Grade sorcerer would side with him!"

Many sorcerers were doubtful of Satoshi's plan. But the moment Yuki appeared on his side, that skepticism began to fade.

Still, many of them found it hard to accept that their goddess, Tsukumo Yuki, might actually like Gojo Satoshi.

To them, Yuki was perfection incarnate. The strongest. The future of the entire world of jujutsu.

But Gojo Satoshi?

He was a has-been. A man who vanished for nine years with no explanation. How could he possibly be worthy of someone like Yuki?

Zanpakutō?

In these nine years, Zanpakutō had become myth. A legend.

Many young sorcerers had never even seen a new Zanpakutō. Most assumed the entire concept was just a relic of a bygone era.

Sure, Yuki wielded one herself. But they all subconsciously ignored it. After all, she rarely used Zabimaru.

Her innate technique, Star Rage, along with the shikigami Garuda, was more than enough to slay Special Grade cursed spirits.

As for seeing Yuki use both Garuda and Zabimaru at once? The only cursed spirit worthy of forcing her into that was one that had absorbed Ryomen Sukuna's power...

...

Back in the live broadcast, Yuki shook her long golden hair and stared coldly at Zenin Ogi.

She scoffed, then turned and walked to Satoshi's side, giving him the spotlight.

After all, this was Tokyo Jujutsu High. It was Satoshi's stage. As someone from Kyoto High, it wasn't her place to intervene directly.

Still, she wouldn't allow Zenin Ogi from the General Directorate to keep spouting off at Satoshi.

Chapter 242: Take Action First

Since Zenin Ogi insisted on witnessing everything personally, then he might as well keep quiet and watch how Satoshi destroys both of Sukuna's fingers.

With Yuki standing firmly in support of Satoshi, the higher-ups from the Jujutsu General Directorate fell silent.

Among them, Kamo Kaname and Zenin Ogi exchanged glances but said nothing. Deep down, however, both shared the same thought.

Once everyone sees that Sukuna's fingers can't be destroyed, he'll have no way out.

And once Zanpakutō and Sukuna's fingers are publicly tied together, the Gojo Clan's past—when they secretly collected Sukuna's fingers—will become the best weapon to crush their reputation.

They wouldn't need to argue or stir up trouble. All they had to do was wait and watch.

...

"Satoshi, wait a minute. Let me try first."

Just as Satoshi was about to begin attacking Sukuna's fingers, Satoru suddenly stepped forward and stopped him.

He had long heard of the indestructible nature of Sukuna's death wax, and deep inside, he wasn't confident that even Satoshi could handle it.

As his brother, he should trust his twin unconditionally. But this was no ordinary task. This was a cursed object said to be impossible to destroy.

Even though he had lost to Satoshi during the earlier assessment, he still hoped that his brother could restore the strength and glory he had nine years ago.

He knew Satoshi remained powerful. But if something unexpected happened—if the fingers couldn't be destroyed—then Satoshi's already battered image might collapse completely.

And that, Satoru couldn't allow.

"Satoru, you want to try?"

Satoshi raised an eyebrow slightly. He hadn't expected his brother to speak up now.

Still, he understood the intention. This was Satoru's kindness.

Letting Satoru feel Sukuna's strength for himself would also help him be more cautious in the future if he ever had to face Sukuna directly.

At present, Satoru had mastered both [Infinity] and [Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue]. But in terms of destroying Sukuna's fingers, the power of Blue was basically useless.

If he could use [Cursed Technique Reversal: Red], and further combine it with Blue to form [Hollow Purple], then maybe it would pose some threat.

But even that was questionable.

In the original timeline, Sukuna's fingers remained untouched until Itadori entered high school. That alone suggested Satoru must have tried to destroy them at some point.

Satoshi didn't believe that Satoru, with his technique mastery back then, hadn't already tried using his most powerful attack.

Since Itadori was able to swallow an intact Sukuna finger, it meant Satoru had failed to destroy it.

"You won't be able to do it, Satoru. I suggest you don't try."

Satoshi's tone was calm, his words sincere. But to Satoru, it sounded like doubt.

And that struck a nerve.

What Satoshi saw as advice, Satoru interpreted as being looked down upon.

Which only strengthened Satoru's resolve to prove him wrong.

Seeing that Satoru was dead set on trying, Satoshi could only smile bitterly and step aside.

You just won't give up until you hit the wall.

He knew his earlier words had already stirred up Satoru's pride.

So be it. Let him see for himself the power of Sukuna's fingers.

...

Under the gaze of everyone present, the one who stepped forward to destroy Sukuna's fingers was not Satoshi, but Gojo Satoru—the sole user of the Limitless Technique in the entire jujutsu world.

Within the Treasury, cursed energy surged around him. The power of the Limitless was on full display before both the crowd and the audience watching the broadcast.

The blue distortion created by Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue opened many eyes.

Under the pressure of such cursed energy, many truly believed Sukuna's fingers could be destroyed.

After all, if an attack of this scale was aimed at them, they would have already been erased.

The many sorcerers watching the live stream were witnessing the full might of the Limitless Technique for the first time.

To them, this should be enough.

Everyone held their breath, waiting to see what the fingers looked like after the cursed energy cleared.

As the cursed energy fluctuations dissipated, the Treasury gradually returned to calm. The brilliance faded, and what lay underneath was finally revealed to all.

The scene went silent. But to those with enough experience, the result wasn't unexpected.

There, on the table, the two fingers of Ryomen Sukuna still lay quietly.

Dark red skin. Blackened nails. Strange markings unmarred.

Gojo Satoru's Limitless had not made the slightest dent in them.

This was the death wax of Ryomen Sukuna. It had completely blocked the attack from the Limitless Technique.

As expected. There were others who mastered the Limitless before. Six Eyes isn't unique to this era. Gojo Satoru is still too naive.

Itadori Kaori, watching the broadcast from Shikoku, smiled faintly.
