Chapter 366: Kaminari’s Warning!

"But why specifically invite Pro Heroes from outside the school?" Uraraka looked at Mandalay and asked in confusion.

"Yeah, aren't there other teachers at school?!" Kirishima chimed in.

Facing the students' questions, Aizawa narrowed his eyes and replied expressionlessly, "Pro Heroes are busy. It's impossible to mobilize teachers from other grades just for your first-year Hero Course."

"Considering their past achievements, qualifications, and Quirks suited for managing a large area, these four are the most reasonable candidates to help improve your Quirks in a short time."

After finishing, he added one last sentence, "That's what the principal told me, and I agree with it completely."

Since Aizawa, their homeroom teacher, said so, no one objected. Just then, Kaminari suddenly heard Mandalay's voice.

"Next, let me introduce each person's training method. First is Katsuki Bakugo. You'll repeatedly soak your hands in hot water to expand your sweat glands and detonate explosions in the air. This will increase the power of your blasts and build up your arm endurance."

"Hey, look. Mandalay doesn't seem to be moving her mouth..." Ojiro suddenly pointed out. After he spoke, Kaminari and the others realized it too. They could hear her voice, but her mouth wasn't moving at all.

"Is this... telepathy..."

Kaminari thought to himself. He realized the voice wasn't being transmitted through the air to their ears. Instead, it appeared directly in their minds.

Honestly, this ability immediately reminded him of Charles Xavier from Marvel, better known as Professor X.

Professor X's abilities are telepathy and mind control.

Not to mention mind control, which can strip and manipulate thoughts and actions, even just his telepathy is powerful.

Besides having an unimaginably wide range of effect, he could also read people's thoughts and memories without physical contact.

Honestly, if Mandalay could really do all that, Kaminari would need to be very careful about what he thought.

If nothing else, now that he had learned about both Ragdoll and Mandalay's Quirks, he felt a bit uncomfortable and had the urge to distance himself from them.

"This is to help you get used to my telepathy in advance. Otherwise, it might scare you during training." Mandalay, dressed in red, smiled as she spoke.

"By the way, I'll have Momo make two iron buckets later, then ask Shoto Todoroki to put some ice in them and use his flames to heat the water."

Momo and Todoroki looked at each other speechlessly. In the end, they had to make their own training gear.

"But why two iron buckets?" Iida asked curiously.

"Because Shoto Todoroki's training also needs one." Mandalay explained with a smile.

"His training method is to stand in the iron bucket, fill it with warm water, and then use his ice and fire abilities alternately to maintain a steady water temperature.

"This helps his body gradually adapt to both freezing and heating. It also trains fine control over flame temperature and may even help him develop simultaneous dual-Quirk usage."

At that moment, the others were listening intently, not noticing how calm Kaminari looked—because he already knew about all these special training plans.

Why?

Because he was involved in planning them. That didn't mean he designed everything or took the lead, but he did offer some ideas and suggestions.

Don't forget, he also held a secret identity as a UA teacher. The school considered him very talented in these areas.

He just wasn't sure which of his ideas had actually been adopted.

"Is this what they call doing everything yourself?" Mineta rubbed his chin and mumbled.

"Also, Tetsutetsu will be training alongside Shoto Todoroki." Mandalay added.

"What, I have to do this too?!" Tetsutetsu shouted, clearly frustrated, which made the others around him burst into laughter.

"Hahahahaha!"

Hearing everyone laugh so cheerfully, Todoroki's normally calm expression began to falter. You didn't even need to look closely to notice the corners of his mouth twitching.

At that moment, Aizawa glanced subtly at Kaminari, then said softly, "Actually, it's about the same for you.

"Your training is to stand in front of Shoto Todoroki and withstand both the fire and ice he releases. This is to raise your Quirk's resistance to high and low temperatures."

"I see..." Tetsutetsu nodded thoughtfully. He felt that this training was actually pretty solid.

When Kaminari heard this, his eyes flickered slightly, because that suggestion had come from him.

He was very familiar with Tetsutetsu's Quirk. After all, the guy often trained with him, so he didn't plan to focus solely on increasing hardness during training.

In theory, Tetsutetsu's Steel has a lower maximum hardness than Kirishima's Hardening.

Though now, with the development of Super Steel in combination with Iron Body, Tetsutetsu's Quirk had advanced. Still, Kaminari believed that "hardness" wasn't the only development path for Steel.

"Now let's talk about Momo's training." Mandalay turned toward the beautiful girl.

"Since the goal of this special training is to improve your Quirk's raw output, there won't be any focus on firearm skills."

Pixie-Bob interjected, "Also, no one here is good at that anyway."

"That's why your training is simple. You need to make and eat high-calorie food, then use your Quirk to continuously create items." Mandalay continued.

"This is to boost your creation count and reduce the time it takes to use your Quirk. While it may seem basic and rough, Quirks are like muscles. This is the fastest way to strengthen them."

"I understand." Momo nodded.

"Now, Kyoka Jiro, Mina Ashido, and Tsuyu Asui, see that mountain in the distance? That's your training site." Pixie-Bob smiled as she pointed behind her.

"Kyoka, you'll use your Earphone Jack to pierce through the mountain repeatedly, strengthening the jacks and improving sound quality."

"Ashido, you'll keep releasing acid into the mountain to increase your acid concentration and boost your skin's resistance to it."

"And Tsuyu, there's a large patch of earth and rock on the mountain. You'll need to tightly wrap your tongue around them and climb up the surface with your bare hands. This will train both your muscles and tongue strength."

Over the next thirty minutes, the four PUSSYCATS took turns explaining everyone's training regimen in Class 1-A.

Why Iida had to run laps around the mountain using his Quirk. Why Koji Koda had to stand atop a mountain and shout at the forest. Why Yuga Aoyama had to shoot lasers into the sky. And how, since he suffered from diarrhea after overusing his Quirk, Momo worked tirelessly to create a bathroom for him.

Honestly, in an environment like the wilderness, Momo's Quirk was incredibly useful. Whatever you needed, she could make it. It was practically omnipotent.

Finally, it was Kaminari's turn.

"Although Kaminari's Quirk has already been well-trained, that doesn't mean he's done." Tiger spoke up, making it clear that even though Kaminari was already strong, he still had to train with everyone else.

"His training is also very straightforward.

"Later, we'll have Momo make a high-capacity generator. He'll grab the wires with his bare hands, enduring continuous high-voltage electric shocks.

"At the same time, he'll keep discharging electricity from his body to raise his power storage limit."

"Uh, I..." Kaminari opened his mouth to say something, but Aizawa, standing in front of him, immediately spoke up as if reading his mind, "Due to special circumstances, Kaminari and Tokoyami will undergo closed training. No one is allowed to approach without permission."

"Huh? Why not?!" Mineta asked, confused.

"Because people will die..." Kaminari looked down at the little grape-headed boy and replied coldly. His voice was chilling.

"Remember, don't come near during training. Otherwise... you'll take responsibility for the consequences."

(To be continued.)

Chapter 367: The Change of Kota

"Hmm... is this my training ground? It's really simple." Kaminari raised his right hand, which was constantly glowing with dazzling golden light, looked around at the environment, shook his head, and smiled.

By now, special training had officially begun, and everyone in Class A had started their respective training routines.

Due to the special nature of his Quirk, he was assigned to a dark cave, just like Tokoyami Fumikage next door.

It was literally just a cave. There were no decorations or lighting equipment, so he had to rely on his own electricity for illumination.

However, it wasn't completely empty. There was also a large generator placed inside, which served as his training equipment.

"Then... let's begin!"

Sizzsssssssssssssss

Kaminari walked over and grabbed the generator's cable. His entire body was immediately shocked by a powerful electric surge. But since his Quirk was electricity-based, he didn't scream or show any panic.

As he withstood the high-voltage shock, he discharged all the electricity stored in his body. Millions of volts burst from the surface of his skin in an instant.

Crack!!

In that moment, the dark cave lit up like daylight. Countless high-temperature electric arcs shot out, striking the ground and walls, leaving behind various sizes of scorched pits.

So when he warned Minoru Mineta earlier not to come near him, it wasn't an exaggeration. Although his warning wasn't even based on this particular effect...

It was because... of this.

Kaminari, gripping the cable tightly, completely enveloped in golden electric light, had undergone a transformation. His entire demeanor changed.

Most noticeably, his expression had shifted. He now wore a dumb smile on his face.

This was the aftereffect of unleashing millions of volts all at once. It caused a temporary short circuit in his brain, putting him into a mindless state.

He would never do this under normal circumstances. But this was part of his training now.

Once he discharged all the electricity from his body, the generator would fully recharge him in an instant, and then he would discharge it again.

This repeated cycle drastically increased his power storage capacity, but also forced him to remain in this goofy state for short periods. That was the main reason he warned others not to get close!

These two caves were specially created by Pixie-Bob using her Quirk.

One was dark, filled with Tokoyami's painful and violent howls. The other radiated dazzling golden light, paired with the constant sound of crackling electricity.

No matter which cave it was, both gave off an intimidating aura, so naturally no one dared approach either of them.

Time passed, and with the arrival of Class B, the once-spacious forest clearing suddenly became lively and crowded.

Various Quirks were activated, with explosions, screams, and roars blending together into what resembled a battlefield.

Meanwhile, Class A's homeroom teacher Aizawa, Class B's teacher Vlad King, and the four members of PUSSYCAT, who were in charge of supervision and instruction, became extremely busy.

After all, overseeing forty students training with Quirks at the same time was easier said than done!

As the sky darkened and evening arrived, the day's intense training finally came to an end.

Everyone was exhausted to the point they couldn't even speak. They lowered their heads, sighing, not even glancing at the ingredients spread out on the wooden tables.

"Alright!"

"I told you yesterday I'd only take care of your meals for one day. Starting today, you're on your own. That includes breakfast every day!" Pixie-Bob in the blue dress shouted loudly.

"Of course, we'll still prepare the ingredients for you. Tonight's menu is curry!" Ragdoll, dressed in yellow, pointed at the carrots, beef, potatoes, curry powder, and other items on the table.

"..." All forty Class A and B students responded weakly in unison, looking completely worn out.

"Hahahaha, everyone looks so miserable!" Ragdoll laughed dramatically, then added, "But you still have to make dinner properly!"

With no other choice, Kaminari and the others dragged their tired bodies to start cooking, all for the sake of a hot meal.

Those who could cut vegetables handled the carrots and potatoes. Others carried iron buckets to fetch water. Of course, they also needed help lighting the fire.

You might not believe it, but what Pixie-Bob had prepared was a traditional stove that required firewood. Thankfully, there was firewood available—somewhat considerate at least.

Boom!

Just as Bakugo blew up a stove nearby, Kaminari stepped forward to help light a different one. This caught the attention of Kyoka, who had been watching Todoroki easily ignite a fire and Momo light one with a lighter.

"Kaminari, you know how to light a fire too?"

"Of course. Electricity generates heat too." Kaminari squatted in front of the stove, forming a glowing golden ball of electricity in his right palm.

Boom!

As he placed the electric ball into the firewood, the dry wood ignited instantly. There was no unstable current, as if he had just placed a ball of golden flame rather than high-voltage electricity.

"That's amazing..." Kyoka smiled.

Soon after, with the efforts of forty students using their Quirks, delicious-smelling curry rice was finally served on the wooden tables, even though night had already fallen.

"I'm gonna start now!!!"

As soon as someone said that, everyone rushed to pick up their spoons and eat, not waiting even a second longer. They were starving.

But no one noticed that Izuku Midoriya had disappeared at some point.

"Huh? What is Kota doing?"

Carrying a bowl of curry rice, Midoriya followed a trail of footprints to the top of a hill, where he found Kota struggling to do push-ups under the moonlight.

Bang.

But after just two reps, he collapsed on the ground, his stomach letting out a long gurgling sound.

"You can't train on an empty stomach. Eat this first, some curry." Midoriya walked over with a smile.

"How... how did you find this place, you bastard?!" Kota stood up angrily and asked.

"Well, I just followed the footprints. I figured you might need some food..."

"No! Get out of my secret base right now. I told you I don't want to hang out with you!" Kota said furiously.

"Secret base..." Midoriya looked around while holding the curry and asked, "Do you come here often to train?"

"I..." Kota opened his mouth but had nothing to say.

Midoriya, observant as always, noticed something. From Kota's awkward movements earlier, it was obvious he hadn't trained much before.

Suddenly, Midoriya thought of something and asked in surprise, "Did you hear what Kaminari-kun said and decide to start training on your own?"

"I... I..." Kota stammered for a while, then turned around and shouted in frustration, "That has nothing to do with you! Get out of here!"

But Midoriya wasn't fazed by Kota's attitude at all. After all, he had already survived Bakugo's personality.

"If you want to train, you have to eat. You won't have energy on an empty stomach. I'll leave the curry here for you." After saying that, Midoriya placed the curry rice on the ground and turned to walk back down the hill.

Kota pursed his lips and stared at Midoriya's back. His small fists clenched tightly as he silently reminded himself.

He wasn't training to become some kind of annoying Hero. He wanted the strength to avenge his parents' deaths.

"That guy's right... becoming stronger isn't a bad thing. It gives me more options."

In the next moment, Kota stepped forward, picked up the bowl of curry, and started eating quickly. He knew Midoriya was right. You can't train when you're starving.

"I want to become ten thousand times stronger!"

(To be continued.)

Chapter 368: Momo’s Conversation

After everyone had eaten and drunk their fill, they started getting ready to wash up and enjoy the natural hot springs. After all, the opportunity was rare, and they could only enjoy them for about a week.

"What's wrong?"

Kaminari looked curiously at Momo, who had asked to speak with him in his room. Even though it was nighttime and just the two of them, a guy and a girl, alone in the same room, he didn't overthink it. He was simply wondering what she wanted to say.

"Kaminari, do you remember our previous conversation?"

"That time..." Kaminari was briefly taken aback, but when he saw her serious expression, he immediately understood what she meant.

"I remember. Of course I wouldn't forget something that important. But for safety reasons, didn't we agree not to talk about it too much?"

"Yes, but I want to..." Before Momo could finish, Kaminari raised his hand to stop her.

"Are you sure you want to talk about this here?"

Momo understood what he meant. She brushed her bangs aside and gave a gentle smile.

"Don't worry. I talked with Mandalay last night and asked about her Quirk. She can only transmit her own voice into our minds. She can't hear us."

"Alright, go ahead," Kaminari nodded.

"Kaminari, we need to start building our own power," Momo said seriously, locking eyes with him.

Kaminari frowned. "Why bring this up all of a sudden?"

"Because of what you said yesterday, and your thoughts. I've come to believe that we can't keep hiding. We need to take the initiative and build the foundation and power to act on those beliefs," Momo explained.

"My words..." Kaminari's eyes flickered. "You mean the combat Hero level system?"

"Exactly. We can build that system ourselves and form an organization to manage all combat Heroes."

Kaminari stood frozen. He knew she wasn't joking. And it reminded him of something.

Momo was talking about forming a Hero Association.

But... was that even possible?

In One Punch Man, private individuals could form such organizations because of the constant appearance of monsters and city-level threats.

But this world was different. Though there were Villains and the global crime rate was high, it hadn't reached that extreme level of chaos.

So after a moment of silence, Kaminari asked, "Have you thought about whether the government would allow it?"

"Of course I've thought about it. And they will allow it, because the government ultimately serves capital. If our capital power is strong enough, the government will have to permit it," Momo replied confidently. This was Japan, after all.

"You plan to bring in other capital groups?" Kaminari wasn't a fool. He knew that the Yaoyorozu family's wealth alone wasn't enough to make this happen.

"Yes. Few major consortiums would refuse the opportunity to manage national-level combat Heroes. What we need is the power to lead that organization."

It was clear Momo hadn't yet coined the name "Hero Association," so she could only describe it as an organization for now.

"I see. I have a general idea. We'll talk about it more after this training camp ends." Kaminari's tone shifted. His eyes darkened slightly.

"You're right. We should build our own power. And to gain leadership, it still comes down to a contest of strength."

"It's not just about financial power. Physical strength matters too. That gives me one more reason to keep getting stronger."

Momo smiled slightly. "That's what I wanted to tell you. Leave the capital side to me. You just need to become stronger. Become stronger than anyone. I know you have that potential."

After their talk, Kaminari watched as Momo left the room. He then sat in a nearby chair. There wasn't a bed, since everyone slept together outside at night.

Of course, it was separated by gender. This room was only used to store luggage, personal items, and for changing clothes.

"Are you starting to feel a sense of crisis?"

Kaminari murmured softly. He understood Momo's feelings and why she wanted this kind of power.

Anyone who possessed something coveted by the five major world powers would feel anxious, fearful, and insecure.

Momo's Quirk, Creation, allowed her to convert body fat into atoms and construct objects based on her knowledge—including food and water.

It might sound ordinary, but she could actually create SIS Alloy. And she could do it at virtually zero cost.

That was a major problem.

Their original plan had been to keep this a secret forever, but it seemed Momo no longer believed that was possible.

As the saying goes, the smarter someone is, the more they worry. With her extremely high IQ, it was impossible for her to believe that a secret could stay hidden forever.

So she wanted power. Real power. Enough strength and resources to stand against the world if her secret ever came to light.

Kaminari's words yesterday had simply given her a direction. Even if he hadn't said anything, she would have eventually tried to build another organization anyway.

At the same time, Kaminari knew this showed a lack of trust in him. Momo didn't believe he alone could protect her, so she wanted power.

But that was fine. No one could take on the five major nations alone. Kaminari wasn't angry—he just felt a bit sad for Momo.

"If only I hadn't let her test it back then..." Kaminari sighed in frustration. Who would've guessed she'd actually pull it off based on something he said casually?

He had once mentioned to Momo that, theoretically, if she understood the structure of SIS Alloy, she could create it using her Quirk.

So in a way, he was partly responsible for how things had developed.

But then again, if he could think of it, someone else eventually would too. Momo's Quirk was Creation.

"No matter what, if I'm strong enough, I can shield her from the whole world."

Momo wasn't just a classmate and friend. She was a trusted partner. She had helped him so much before. Even if he wasn't obligated, he would still stand by her without hesitation.

"And it wouldn't be so bad to build our own 'Hero Association'..."

That night, after everyone had soaked in the hot springs, laid down, and turned off the lights, mysterious figures began gathering in a corner of the forest.

"That makes seven."

"Hurry up and get started already. I can't wait to hear that Kaminari Denki kid scream!" A tall man wrapped in black robes said, his body twitching with anticipation.

The man in the white baseball mask was ready to make his move.

"Shut up. You're all a bunch of freaks." Dabi, dressed in a black cloak, stood at the front of the group, staring at the large building in the distance.

"It's not time yet. We wait until all eleven are present."

"Gathering random thugs who only know how to bluff will just increase the risk. What we need are skilled elites."

"Looks like the lesson from USJ finally taught that guy something. Took him long enough to show some leadership."

Meanwhile, in the building's hallway, Kaminari glanced at Todoroki, who looked calm but clearly sleepy. He turned to their homeroom teacher Aizawa and asked tiredly, "Sensei, what exactly are we doing at 5:10?"

Even though everyone else was already asleep, Aizawa had called them out. Kaminari was exhausted and drowsy too.

"Remedial lessons."

"You failed the final exam. I'm sure you remember that," Aizawa said without looking back.

"Uh..." Kaminari was speechless, then asked in disbelief, "So we're doing tutoring now?"

"Yes. It's eleven o'clock. You'll study for three hours a night. I told you before we came that you'd be more exhausted than everyone else."

"No way..." Kaminari groaned. "What about you, Sensei? Don't you need sleep?"

"I already slept during the day. No need to worry about my teaching quality." Aizawa stopped and opened a door.

"Go in."

Kaminari and Todoroki looked at the tidy desks and the whiteboard inside. They glanced at each other in dismay, then walked in, completely dejected.

(To be continued.)

Chapter 369: Shadow Under the Light!

On the second day, which was the third day of staying together in the forest, everyone in Class A and B continued their rigorous special training without any surprises.

Although Kaminari and Shoto Todoroki had slept a few hours less than the others, their attitude and training intensity were no less than anyone else's.

Their family backgrounds and experiences were different, but both understood the importance of strength—especially Kaminari, who had to make himself stronger than anyone.

Kaminari's cave was, as always, filled with the buzzing sound of electricity, the blinding golden light, and the special state he didn't allow anyone to witness.

Even he had to admit that the training plan prepared by UA for him was surprisingly effective.

Though nothing else had changed in the past two days, the upper limit of his body's energy storage was increasing at a visibly fast rate.

Unknowingly, Momo's previous estimation had gone from around six million volts to several tens of millions. Kaminari believed that by the end of this training camp, he would break through the tens of millions threshold for sure.

"Man, is this what it means to be on a different level? Enel reached '100 million' within a few years after eating the Thunder Fruit. I'm so jealous..."

The electric light faded temporarily. As his mind recovered from its dumbed-down state, Kaminari casually released the thick cable and sighed.

As for why he stopped training, it wasn't just because he wanted to rest—he had to rest. Even though his body had high passive resistance to electricity, there was still a limit.

After all, electricity also produces heat. Being wrapped in electric current for too long raised his body temperature.

Normally, this wouldn't be an issue, but he was actively holding onto the wire and receiving uninterrupted current.

Besides, he had just remembered something.

"Ahhhhh!! Dark Shadow!!!"

As soon as Kaminari stepped out of his cave, he heard Tokoyami's roar from the cave next door. The voice was full of frustration, pain, and a certain dark, dramatic tone.

"So when he's in complete darkness, and his mind is unstable, he gets controlled by Dark Shadow and goes on a rampage like a beast..."

Standing in front of Tokoyami's cave, Kaminari stared for a while and thought this setup felt oddly familiar. Wasn't this like the early relationship between the Jinchuriki and the Tailed Beasts in Naruto?

"I really wanna see what he looks like when he loses control."

With that thought, Kaminari walked straight in, completely ignoring the warning signs at the cave entrance.

Tap, tap, tap...

The cave was pitch black. With his back to the entrance, Kaminari found his vision quickly fading. He had the urge to use his electricity to light the area.

But he was worried it might affect Tokoyami's condition. After all, he came to see what Tokoyami's berserk form looked like, so he only let a faint glow appear on the surface of his body.

There was no choice. Total darkness basically made him blind.

As he walked deeper in, the roars grew louder. Occasionally, there were loud crashing sounds and labored, ragged breathing.

The atmosphere felt like a horror attraction.

"Man, he really is a beast..."

Perhaps due to Dark Shadow's rampage, the space inside this cave was much larger than the one Kaminari had just left.

Even so, he soon spotted a massive purple-black entity occupying nearly half the space.

"According to Tokoyami, right now he's desperately trying to suppress Dark Shadow and regain control. So if he stopped holding it back, wouldn't Dark Shadow get even bigger?" Kaminari whispered, rubbing his chin.

"Roar!!!!"

Even his soft mutter echoed in the dark cave and instantly caught Dark Shadow's attention.

"You... Kaminari? Why... why are you here?!"

"Leave... now... it's dangerous!"

Beneath the towering Dark Shadow, Tokoyami looked tiny as he shouted in horror, struggling even harder to restrain the creature.

"Don't get so worked up. You know my strength and Quirks. I just wanted to see your real power." Kaminari looked up into Dark Shadow's crimson eyes, smiling confidently.

"Get out of the way!!"

Right after Kaminari spoke, the berserk Dark Shadow swung a massive claw at him. From Rikido Sato's perspective, it was a full-on death strike.

Boom!!

The giant beast-like claw slammed into the ground at the cave entrance like a pile driver. If a car had taken that hit, it would've been crushed instantly.

"It's got great power, but the attack speed's not that fast. Still, its size gives it a wide range."

Kaminari, now in god-speed mode, stood upside down on the cave ceiling like a glowing bat, calmly analyzing Dark Shadow's combat traits.

With electric arcs running along his body, his feet clung to the rock surface as if they were stuck with chakra like a ninja.

This was actually normal. With his current level of electromagnetic control, he could fully imitate some of Misaka Mikoto's techniques.

On the other side, Dark Shadow, irritated by the glowing figure above, became more agitated and aggressive. It made no effort to hide its hatred of light.

"Even this amount of light is enough to suppress you? That's perfect."

To prevent Dark Shadow from damaging the mountain ceiling, Kaminari dropped from above and began circling the creature on the ground.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

Inside the cave, with Kaminari's constant taunting, Dark Shadow went on a wild rampage, smashing everything in sight. Kaminari dodged nimbly while attempting to test attacks.

He didn't have any weapons, and he didn't want to release too much electricity in case it calmed Tokoyami, so he resorted to throwing rocks or forming thin lightning needles to launch at it.

But what happened surprised him.

The stones were ineffective as expected, but the lightning needles pierced right through Dark Shadow's body and embedded into the cave wall behind.

"Wait, is this guy... elemental?"

"Well, he does look like an energy-based entity. It's not so strange if he's partially elemental."

The more Kaminari observed, the more Dark Shadow reminded him of a Tailed Beast.

"It seems this guy is basically the embodiment of shadow. Kinda like the Nara Clan's Shadow Possession Jutsu, but with a mind of its own like a Tailed Beast."

"Completely immune to physical attacks, seemingly endless stamina, and near-invincible combat ability at night without a strong light source..."

At some point, Kaminari stopped moving. He quietly stared at the incoming massive black claw, his eyes calm.

"That's enough. I'm not interested in you anymore."

As he spoke softly, a brilliant golden light burst from his body. Flame-like electricity flared up, and his blonde hair stood on end like blades.

"Roar—!"

To Dark Shadow, the blazing light was its natural enemy. Its massive form began to shrink while letting out shrill howls, retreating back into Tokoyami's body at a speed visible to the eye.

"Your strength is powerful and dangerous, but your weaknesses are too clear. That's a good thing for someone who wants to be a Hero, but also a bad thing," Kaminari said softly as he looked at Tokoyami, who had returned to normal.

"Come with me after graduation. I can help you use your full power without worry."

Tokoyami stayed silent for a moment, then quietly muttered, "The brightest light... the darkest shadow. I'll be in your care from now on..."

(To be continued.)

Chapter 370: The Origin!

After receiving Tokoyami's promise, Kaminari walked down the mountain in a good mood. If nothing else, once he formed a team or organization in the future, Tokoyami Fumikage would definitely be a strong asset.

But thinking back to the scene just now, his thoughts drifted to Kimimaro and Jugo. Honestly, they were kind of similar.

Along the way, he passed Koda Koji shouting repeatedly on the side of the mountain, Iida Tenya running laps at high speed, Asui Tsuyu scaling a cliff with her long tongue, and others shouting in the distance while laser beams shot skyward.

Everyone was giving their all. Everyone was working hard. Every one of their hearts burned with a flame called "Hero," and they were all chasing after the words "Plus Ultra!"

This was a group of teenagers chasing their dreams. Whether or not their original reason for becoming Heroes was rooted in true justice, they were walking the path of becoming Heroes now.

"Kaminari, why are you down here?"

As soon as Kaminari reached the bottom of the mountain, Momo, who was sitting at the training table not far away, saw him and immediately paused from eating her cream cake.

Sitting next to her was Sato Rikido, originally from Class A, now training with Class B due to Tetsutetsu's rearrangement.

"I've said it before, your training looks way too comfortable!" Kaminari approached with a grin.

"It only looks comfortable. Eating cake while activating my Quirk is actually really mentally exhausting. It's not physically tiring, but it's definitely draining," Momo replied as she took another bite of cake. At the same time, her right arm glowed pink, and a small Pikachu figurine appeared out of thin air.

"Okay then..." Kaminari looked at the table filled with cakes and Pikachu figurines and let out a helpless chuckle. He really didn't know what to say.

As for Sato Rikido, his Quirk was Sugar Rush. While sugar gave him a fivefold strength boost in the short term, it also caused issues with his brain function once the effect wore off.

Well, it was kind of like his brain short-circuited. For some reason, Kaminari always looked at Sato with a certain level of sympathy.

"So, what are you doing down here?"

"Oh, right, I need to ask the American Shorthair Cat something. Keep working hard," Kaminari waved to Momo and walked away.

"Don't slack off!"

"That goes for the rest of you too. No dawdling, and no matter what you're doing, don't forget your origin."

"That's what growth is about. Always remember why you're here sweating, and why you're letting me train you."

As Kaminari approached the clearing, he heard Aizawa speaking on the hillside. His voice wasn't loud or dramatic, but every word hit with weight, making many students fall into thought.

"Origin..." Bakugo Katsuki muttered.

"Origin..." Todoroki Shoto echoed.

"Origin..." Midoriya Izuku whispered.

Kaminari Denki paused, thinking to himself, "Origin... what is my origin? Why did I start training in the first place?"

He thought back.

The image in his mind was from when he was six, sitting on his mother's lap, looking at the computer screen after arriving in this world.

That was the moment he realized this wasn't the Marvel universe like he had imagined. There was no Spider-Man or Iron Man here.

At that time, he believed that even if someone like him, a loser, traveled through time, he'd probably still be a loser. After all, his lazy nature wasn't likely to change just because of time travel.

But nothing in the world is absolute. Even if 90 out of 100 transmigrators stayed the same, there were always those 10 who pushed to change.

Because… they wanted to rewrite their fate. They didn't want to stay the same. Kaminari wanted to be one of those ten.

He wanted to make his life extraordinary.

"This is my origin..." Kaminari murmured inwardly.

"Kaminari, what are you doing here?"

Suddenly, a shadow fell over him. Aizawa's voice snapped him out of his thoughts. Kaminari looked up and met his teacher's serious eyes.

"Well, I was taking a short break and came down to ask the American Shorthair Cat something about Quirks," Kaminari explained quickly.

"Is it about body temperature?" Aizawa asked.

"Yes. So it's not laziness. I'm just making the most of my rest period!" Kaminari responded.

"Fine. Go ahead."

With his teacher's approval, Kaminari headed toward the truck where Pixie-Bob was stationed. Several large cardboard boxes were stacked there.

They were filled with Pikachu figurines made by Momo. To avoid polluting the environment and with plans for reuse, the figures were being gathered and prepared to be donated to orphanages around the world.

In this world, with Quirks occasionally going out of control, the orphan rate was much higher than in the previous life's normal society.

The key was, many of the orphans here had lost their parents due to their own Quirks. Do you understand what that means?

So a lot of them struggled mentally and emotionally.

"Niegao, niegao, niegao..."

Pixie-Bob, dressed in her blue outfit, sat on a box, laughing in a tone that mimicked a cat, and waved cheerfully.

"Alright everyone, we're going to have a class competition tonight. It's also a courage test!"

"After intense training, you need a chance to relax. This is what we call 'sugar and whip'!"

Kendo Itsuka sighed, "A courage test... I hate horror-themed stuff like that."

"Same here..." Kyoka muttered.

"I love the competitive part!" Monoma Neito grinned.

Elsewhere, Kaminari approached Pixie-Bob and asked quietly, "Can I ask you something?"

"A question?" Pixie-Bob blinked, then glanced at Kaminari's head to toe and suddenly put on a shy act, teasing, "You're not gonna ask my measurements, are you?"

"..."

Kaminari was speechless, stunned by how shameless her reply was.

"Wait... am I being hit on by an older woman?"

Of course, he didn't say that aloud. He didn't want to cause any unnecessary trouble—he was here to ask a serious question.

"Alright, alright. What do you want to know?"

"Phew."

Seeing her shift back to normal, Kaminari let out a breath and smiled. "I want to ask how you manage to control your Quirk creations in real time when they're out of your line of sight?"

"Put simply..." Pixie-Bob crossed her legs and muttered, "Kids these days talk like grown-ups..."

"Like, how did you control that earth monster in the forest remotely? You shouldn't have been able to see it, right?" Kaminari scratched the back of his head awkwardly.

"Oh, that? That's easy," Pixie-Bob said as she pointed to the goggles on her face.

"These are called Special Environment Rescue Eyepieces. They transmit real-time images and data via satellite to the lenses. You can see through obstacles too."

She continued, "But they're only usable in remote areas like forests, mountains, or snowy terrain. They can't be used in cities. When you use them, you have to submit your location and objective."

When she mentioned the city restriction, Kaminari frowned. "Where can I buy these eyepieces?"

"You have to apply through the Hero Network, and there's a monthly fee. Only Pro Heroes with a license can apply." Pixie-Bob grinned.

"I see..."

Kaminari nodded thoughtfully. It looked like he needed to consider other methods. He had assumed it was some kind of Quirk technique, but it turned out to be support equipment. He'd have to talk to Dr. Pegasus about it later.

"If I can't use it in the city, how am I supposed to make this work..."

(To be continued.)
