Seeing most people are definitely caught up on SOTM now, I wanna jump right into the tragic domestic horror it demonstrates.

The Murray family is both tragic, and horrific to me. Especially Edwin, Edwin is a troubled man who lost his wife in a freak accident, leaving him and his son David alone. First Edwin makes the mimic to hopefully give David a new babysitter and caretaker while he’s working..

but then after seeing David’s own grief of the lost of his mother, he gets an idea, to change the mimic into Fiona. They can mimic anything and anyone after all,, and we see in tapes for maybe 2 years? A year? M1 is fully replaced Fiona… this whole scenario truly makes me sick/pos, it strikes such uncomfortable fear into my stomach.

I can’t imagine what David’s first reaction was to Mimic Fiona was, so I drew it out., I gotta imagine he was confused.. coming around to the idea eventually but shocked to begin with. It gives me shivers thinking of how much they did together as a family like this,

There’s literal tapes of M1 telling Edwin not to tell others about their relationship just yet.. Edwin for awhile really deluded himself to consider M1 actually his wife, actually Fiona. This only going away after David dies where he realizes M1 was never really Fiona. And yet he still makes M2 to be David,, trapping M1 on a computer, and using the mimic body to make M2 and “David”.. The whole M2 aspect I’ll have to draw another time, like fr I just gotta show off all the ways Murray’s disturb me BAHAH love drawing horror, and SOTM did that horror perfectly, anyway!! I hope you enjoy this comic!!
