Harley and Quinn (mini comic #519)

The story of Harley and Quinn genuinely makes me so sad BAHAH Oh Harley when I get you bro, he deserves the worst truly, regardless of how much I find his character interesting

Harley is technically, the closest thing Quinn had to a father. Especially with Harley manipulating Quinn, by telling him over and over how he shouldn’t listen to the other scientists, that they look down on him too, how is Quinn keeps trying he could be great etc

It’s all manipulation to try and make his own perfect experiment, his own monster, AND when Quinn becomes Yarnaby, he only answers to Harley himself, becoming unmotivated when he isn’t around. Then after the hour of joy, Harley isolated Yarnaby from everyone and everything else BUT him so his loyalty would be unbreakable. While doing all that, the doctor is only apathetic towards Yarnaby, thinks he’s entertaining but pathetic. Which is more than his other creations no doubt, but it’s truly twisted what he did to Quinn

I kinda wished The Doctor has a bit more of a relation to Yarnaby dying, not cause I think he cares, but I think it would of made him a smidge more interesting, that maybe he’s mad all his hard work into Yarnaby went to waste, or in some twisted way he “cared” about Yarnaby. Which it was a bit more than nothing to really seal the deal on their story, which I think was glossed over slightly by the game. Either way this whole dynamic kills me bad

It was fun making this, getting to do some new human designs. Harley gave me the impression of someone who lives in the labs itself, so a main inspiration for his look was “rat man” from portal, also wanted his skin tone to be extra pale to show he really hasn’t seen the sun in awhile. While Quinn, basically the exact opposite, colourful from head to toy, I wanted him to semi resemble Yarnaby, so lots of hair, covered in paint splats and chalk. I really like the designs I made for both, and I hope yall like them too! And I hope you enjoy this comic!! 🩵💜

⭐️ BTW so I was waiting to see how the tariffs would go for USA, got word today about the situation and the delivery company I go thru, basically tariffs aren’t yet implemented and won’t be for awhile, so sometime this week I’ll send out deliveries!! On that post I’ll probably go into more detail too ^^
