In my opinion.....Belle needs to have an in committee meeting with the girls, including Eva, and Skylar about Matt's fears about Marriage and kids. Especially will all the stuff going on recently with the blow out with Sam and Niamh and Belle being off her rocker ALOT of the time.

2023-04-28 01:07:48 +0000 UTC...Again with the premature post...As for Skylar getting involved with Belle's dad, all I can say is: please, for the love of all that's good, no! You don't spend all that time developing a character and establishing her relationships with the protagonists then have her get involved with someone who is such a peripheral character unless you're looking to cause some drama, confusion, and heartache - and I hope that's not the case in this instance. If Dr. Kramer gets a girlfriend (even if she's a much younger nurse or resident) that would be fine, but they both would still be side characters. With all the back and forth and drama, I finally realized something. I need some Zofi time. I can't wait to see her over the semester break. I think that Matt and Zofi's love is true, deep, and abiding. It's probably the most stable, loving relationship Matt has. Last, but not least, I fully expect a surprise visit from Beverly over the break.

2023-04-27 22:33:22 +0000 UTCSince I've never read a BDA story in which the main characters were engaged in a traditional monogamous relationship, I've always held to the idea that Matt would end up with at least two or three of the women he loves and the dream would be if all of them returned to each other after college. I like that Matt and Belle finally put words to the dream in the story. I'm fairly certain that most readers would agree that nothing is going to come out of Skylar's drunken request. The Matt we know is not going to take advantage of a woman who has lowered inhibitions.

This will cause problems because the girls will feel threatened by the experience of a 24 year old woman vs. the 18/19 year old teenagers’. At the risk of insulting the writer the beginning of this chapter felt too extreme, not love or sex but something not comfortable to read.
