2022-08-28 18:42:38 +0000 UTCWhile I understand that there's a mechanism/purpose for Dawn, I've always loved DJ for Ben, more than Dawn. Dawn is kind of this supernatural muse to Ben, but also, having found a degree of balance for herself, seems like a guardian for his thoughts/conscience. And sometimes the emotional conscience gets him into trouble where 'intellectual conscience' might not have. On the other hand, I believe that, had DJ not chosen the abortion, and, had Ben been able to convince DJ that she was her own person, whole and complete - as his love for her also was - that she may not have had the abortion, subsequent meltdown and breakup. Just as there was always something so maddeningly magical about Adrienne, there was something magical and exquisite about DJ. There still is.
