Loki Familia Premise Chapter 10

However, Ais sleeps through part of it since she got back so late. Not to mention she’s warm and comfortable…heh. But she and Bell have to get up and Ais wants a Status Update anyway. It’s time to see if her desperate and nearly suicidal one-on-one with a Monster Rex has overfilled her ‘vessel’ and granted her what she’s sought for so long. Not to mention, both Bell and Lili have new gear to show off to everyone.

Chapter 10 – A Toast and a Thundering Song

Sunlight brightened up a bedroom within the Twilight Manor, gently waking one of the two occupants.

Ais snuggled into the warmth that she was holding as the gentle sunlight brightened the room. “Mmnnn…” She let out a soft, cute little hum as she inhaled and a pleasant scent filled her nose. Ais nuzzled into the nice smell and warmth, trying to stay asleep a bit longer as she was incredibly comfortable.

Alas, the sun didn’t pause in its rising, and so the room continued to brighten.

With a soft little sigh, Ais slowly opened her golden eyes to greet the day. The first thing that she noticed was that her head wasn’t lying on a pillow. Instead, her face was gently pressed into a person’s neck as her head laid on their shoulder. Before any confusion or panic could arise, she noticed familiar white hair and her memory of returning home late at night came back to her. “Bell…” Ais mumbled softly, recalling how she’d pulled Bell into his bed with her. Her cheeks turned slightly pink as she realized that she was, indeed, in nothing but her panties with her almost bare body pressing up against Bell’s nearly bare body.

“Good morning, Ais.” Bell said softly, his arm around Ais’s waist gently squeezing her closer. He’d awoken at roughly five in the morning, as he always did, but hadn’t been able to bring himself to move with Ais lying on him and looking so peaceful as she slept.

Ais breathed in Bell’s scent again, still practically nuzzling into his neck, before she moved just enough to look into Bell’s eyes. “…good morning.” She greeted with a cute little smile as she looked into Bell’s rubellite eyes, her cheeks still pink.

As the two looked into each other’s eyes, they didn’t even realize when they moved.

“Mmm…” Ais let out a soft little moan as she kissed Bell for the first time…her first kiss ever.

“Mmm…” Bell kissed Ais back, warm, soft, and filled with his feelings for her.

Ais didn’t even think as she moved to lay on Bell’s chest, their lips not separating. Bell likewise didn’t have to think about wrapping his arms around Ais and holding her close as they continued their long, soft kiss. Their bodies molded together, Ais’s soft curves against Bell’s firmer body, the sensation of skin-on-skin contact like this making heat blossom between them.

When the two finally pulled back from each other’s lips with heated breaths, Ais let out a soft moan when Bell’s hands began to move, one softly moving up and down her bare back, while the other gently combed his fingers through her long blonde hair. Bell found the sensation of Ais’s hands moving up his chest pleasurable as they left tingling trails of heat in their wake, the slight roughness of hands that wielded a sword almost daily combined with the natural softness of Ais’s skin was amazing. Ais’s hands gently cupped Bell’s cheeks as eyes of molten gold met smoldering rubellite. The two were kissing softly again without a word as they let their feelings guide them.

“Ais…” Bell breathed out, feeling Ais’s soft body, with strong underlying muscle beneath his hand moving up and down her bare back, moving against his. He could feel her breasts against his chest, her hard nipples dragging against his skin. She was clearly feeling the same things that Bell was feeling.

“Bell…” Ais moaned lowly, her heart beating powerfully as she snuggled into him again, a beautiful smile on her lips.

The two held each other, breathing in each other’s scents while their hands ran over each other’s bodies, heat and pleasure following in the wake of their touches. Soft kisses were shared, and both moved their bodies against each other, little sparks of sensation making them moan and gasp softly. Without even realizing it, the two had almost dozed off in each other’s arms again, the warmth, closeness, and pleasure making Bell’s bed even more comfortable than it already was.

Bell hummed as Ais nuzzled into his neck again while he ran his fingers lightly through her hair. “We should probably get up…” He said, though it was clear that he was perfectly comfortable here.

“…yes.” Ais agreed, her voice slightly muffled as her lips pressed against Bell’s neck. She let out a soft little hum when Bell’s hand softly trailing along her back moved down to gently rest on her panty-clad ass, gently cupping her softness instead of grabbing it. With cutely pink cheeks, Ais slowly pushed herself up with her hands on Bell’s chest, revealing her breasts to him again as she looked down into his eyes while straddling him.

“Beautiful~” Bell said with warmth and affection, making Ais smile before she softly gasped.

Ais’s cheeks went from pink to red as she felt something hard pressing against her from below. With her eyes still looking into Bell’s she rolled her hips once and they both shivered. Bell’s hands trailed up her sides, ghosted over her breasts to make Ais let out a soft moan, and then gently cupped her cheeks.

“No rush, Ais.” Bell said to her warmly, making it clear that she didn’t need to go any further.

“Thank you…Bell.” Ais smiled beautifully at him as she leaned into his touch. The two shared a warm smile for a moment before Ais yawned adorably.

“Cute…” Bell couldn’t help but chuckle as Ais slowly moved off of him.

Ais rubbed her eyes, the heat and passion that she and Bell had shared had helped her wake up, for sure, but it didn’t change the fact that she’d gotten home incredibly late last night. Though it was the best sleep that she could remember having in a very long time. She watched as bell moved his legs around her and place his feet on the floor before he stood up, letting Ais drink in the sight of Bell in nothing but his boxers. Her golden eyes followed Bell’s every move as he moved over to his dresser and opened a couple of drawers.

“Here, Ais, you can wear these.” Bell said with a warm and gentle smile as he held out a simple shirt and some shorts to Ais.

“Thank you.” Ais accepted the clothes, her golden eyes looking at her ruined battle dress on the floor near the bed. Setting the shorts on the bed, Ais stood up, letting Bell see her in nothing but her panties, her long blonde hair flowing down her back leaving her breasts unobstructed. Seeing Bell’s rubellite eyes roaming over her body for a moment made Ais feel the butterflies in her stomach, but in an incredibly pleasant way that she found she enjoyed. She slipped the shirt over her head, it briefly caught on her breasts since it wasn’t tailored for a woman, but once she had it over them, it was a bit baggy on her more slender frame.

Bell couldn’t help but smile seeing Ais wearing nothing but his shirt and her panties. ‘Why does that look so…amazing?’ He couldn’t help but wonder as Ais looked at him for a moment with a cute little smile on her lips. When she slipped on his shorts, also a little baggy on her, though the curve of her hips and her ass held them up easily enough, Bell couldn’t help himself. “You look so cute, Ais.”

Ais smiled at Bell, running her hands over Bell’s clothes that she was wearing. “Thank you…Bell.” She lightly sniffed herself, finding the scent of her previous day still on her, though she and Riveria had managed to at least wash themselves off a little in Rivira on their way back. “A bath…I think?”

Bell put on his own clothing for the day, something that Ais watched with a cute little pout as his body was covered up. With the two of them dressed, they left Bell’s room as Ais yawned once more and rubbed her eye while entering the hallway.

“Ais?” Multiple voices questioned all at once.

Ais blinked as she saw Lefiya, Tiona, Tione, and Aki all looking at her with varying levels of confusion, curiosity, or shock. “Good morning.” She greeted her friends after her yawn subsided.

Lefiya’s cheeks burned red. “M-Miss Ais…c-coming out of B-Bell’s room… Wearing h-his clothes…” Her ‘innocent’ Elven mind was instantly conjuring up ideas of what had taken place…scenarios that, rather quickly, became explicit.

“Well… Huh…” Aki managed to get out after a moment to take in the situation.

“But I wanted to be first!” Tione declared as she looked between the sleepy Ais wearing Bell’s clothes and then at Bell himself.

Tiona’s wide green eyes were quickly matched by the wide smile spreading across her face. “Ais! You beat us!” She laughed brightly at her ‘third sister’ in all but blood.

“Hm?” Ais tilted her head slightly, before she looked down at Bell’s clothes that she was wearing and then back at her friends. Thinking back to how she and Bell had ‘greeted’ each other when she’d woken up in his bed…in his arms…and what followed afterward, Ais blushed cutely. “It…wasn’t.”

Bell, thankfully, saved Ais from what was assuredly a flood of questions. “We didn’t do…that.” He said clearly, making all of the young women look at him. “Ais got back really late last night and I ran into her while getting a drink of water since I couldn’t sleep. She was tired and ended up pulling me into my room and then she slept in my bed.”

“But why is she wearing your clothes?” Aki had an almost cheshire smile on her lips as she playfully teased Ais and Bell.

“My clothes…were damaged.” Ais admitted, her cheeks pink.

Lefiya let out a cute squeak, her face burning red. “D-Did you two sl-sleep n-naked?!”

“No.” Bell said easily, his genuine honesty so blatant that all of the women knew he was telling the truth.

Tione got closer to Ais and looked her ‘sister’ in all but blood over before gently pulling her into a hug. “As long as you both kept your underthings on.”

Lefiya’s face went so red she put a tomato to shame. Steam could practically be seen rising from her head as her mind went STRAIGHT into the gutter with a very naughty daydream of Bell and Ais in nothing but their underthings. Then with her in nothing but her underthings between the two of them.

“Lefiya?!” Aki yelped out as she reached out to steady the Elf girl as she swayed on her feet, Lefiya’s face so red that she was probably overheating.

Tiona blinked at Lefiya’s reaction. “Is she okay?” She fanned the Elf girl’s face with her hand a bit.

“I…was going to get some clothes from my room…and take a shower.” Ais told the other girls with her cheeks still lightly pink.

Tione nodded to Ais with a small smile. “That’s probably a good idea. We were all coming to ask Bell if he’d seen you since Riveria was back, but you weren’t in your room.” She poked Ais’s shoulder with a playful pout. “And now we know why you weren’t in your room… Trying to sneak ahead of the rest of us~” She teased Ais, seeing the pink on her cheeks spread again.

“Didn’t we sort of go further?” Tiona asked Tione curiously.

That got the eyes of all the other women on Tiona, even Tione’s.

“What did you two do?” Aki questioned the sisters suspiciously.

Bell stepped in before the conversation could take place in the middle of the hallway in front of his room. “It might be better to talk about that privately?” He suggested politely.

Ais nodded, her golden eyes looking between Tione and Tiona.

“I agree.” Aki said as she steadied Lefiya. “How about we join you in the bath, Ais?”

Lefiya finally shook herself out of her explicit daydreams. “Wh-What did Miss Tiona and Miss Tione do?” She asked, only having caught part of the conversation while lost in her thoughts.

“Then I’ll see you all at breakfast.” Bell smiled as he leaned over to kiss Ais’s cheek, making her blush. Then he took a step forward to kiss Aki’s lips, getting a cute little purr from the Cat Girl. Bell turned to kiss Tiona’s lips next, making her eagerly kiss him back before she pulled away with a bright giggle. Tione nearly pulled Bell to her lips next, pressing herself flush against him with for a long moment before they pulled away from each other.

“Huh?” Lefiya blinked as she realized that Bell had kissed all of the other women and had turned to her. Her cheeks went pink as Bell stepped close to her. “B-Bell?”

“Miss Lefiya…” Bell smiled warmly at Lefiya before leaning in and placing a soft kiss on her cheek.

Lefiya blushed all the way to the tips of her Elven ears, which wiggled just slightly in happiness as her heart raced and a smile crossed her face. Her blue eyes had a hard time meeting Bell’s eyes as she gently held the cheek that Bell had kissed. “B-Bell…” She nearly cooed, her ears still slightly wiggling from her joy.

‘Do Elves’ ears wiggle when they’re really happy?’ Bell questioned himself internally as he watched Lefiya’s pointed ears move slightly. “That’s so cute…”

“C-Cute?!” Lefiya blushed even more as she looked at Bell and her head almost seemed to steam again.

Aki giggled as she gently took Lefiya’s hand in her own and started leading the blushing mess of an Elf towards the baths. Ais, surprising both Tione and Tiona, grabbed both sisters’ hands and nearly dragged them along towards her room so that she could grab a change of clothes before heading for the baths.

Bell smiled as he watched the girls walk off. “I’m glad they’re going to have that conversation in private.” He chuckled slightly, still riding high from how his morning had begun. “Miss Lefiya is very cute when she blushes.” The reaction to the gentle affection he’d given her and the subsequent ear wiggles were just another good part of his morning. “Time for breakfast.” Bell headed towards the stairs. “I’ll show them my new equipment afterwards.”

-Female Baths-

“You did what?!” Lefiya cried out in shock, splashing the water in the bath as she nearly reeled back in shock.

Tiona tilted her head. “We gave Bell a…”

“You don’t need to repeat it!” Lefiya said as she covered her ears, her face bright red before she submerged herself up to her eyes in the warm water, bubbles rising to the surface. Her mind was filled with explicit images and daydreams now! Imagining what Tione and Tiona had done with Bell… Then putting herself in the middle of that situation… Lefiya shook her head furiously, sending water flying, as she tried to clear her mind of her own naughty thoughts.

“It’s not that big of a deal.” Tione shrugged as she leaned back against the side of the inground tub. She lightly licked her lips, recalling Bell’s ‘taste’.

“Then you won’t mind if the rest of us do the same, right~” Aki said with a grin, her cat ears flicking atop her head.

Tiona smiled brightly. “Go ahead! Bell is really good…” She giggled as she recalled reaching her peak with Bell and then tasting his seed.

Ais’s face was red now as well, not quite matching Lefiya’s, but both young women were clearly thinking about what Tione and Tiona had told them.

-Loki’s Office ~ After Breakfast-

Knock Knock

“Hm?” Loki looked up from the papers on her desk. Most of it was planning for the Familia’s next expedition, things like materials, weapons, trying to get the Hephaestus Familia’s best blacksmiths to come with them to maintain their gear and weapons and so on. However, the paper that Loki had been looking at was the announcement of the next Denatus. Seeing as she had TWO Level Ups this time around, she might just request to lead the Denatus this time too. “Come in!” She called out to whoever had knocked on her door.

Ais entered the room, dressed in a simple sundress that she normally wore only around the Twilight Manor. Closing the door behind her, she stood in front of Loki’s desk. “Good morning, Loki.”

“Good morning, Ais-tan!” Loki beamed at Ais, already knowing why the blonde was here. “Here for a Status Update, right?”

“Mm.” Ais nodded once.

Loki stood up and rounded her desk, grabbing the stools she used for doing Status Updates and setting them between her and Ais. “Alright then, Ais-tan! Sit on down and let’s give you an update!” She sat down on one stool, and patted the one in front of her with a smile.

Ais turned her back to Loki and then slipped the straps of her sundress off, carefully holding the dress up to cover her breasts with her left hand, she used her right hand to move her long blonde hair over her right shoulder. Sitting down with her bare back facing Loki, she waited for the update to begin, silently hoping that her defeat of Udaeus was the final push that she’d needed to finally gain the strength that she’d been seeking.

“Here we go, Ais-tan.” Loki pricked her finger with a needle and let the single drop of her blood touch Ais’s back. As Ais’s Falna appeared on her bare back like a masterful tattoo, the familiar blue-white glow shone forth. Loki began watching the Excelia, seeing the time that Ais had spent with Finn, Riveria, Tione, Tiona, Lefiya, and Rakta in the Dungeon. ‘Fairly normal, so far…’ But as she saw Udaeus rise and Ais start fighting the Monster Rex alone, Loki completely stopped blinking, focusing every scrap of her attention on the fight.

“Hm?” Ais blinked almost a minute and a half later when she heard a sniffle and felt Loki’s hand gently touching her shoulder. But what got her attention was the fact that her Goddess’s hand was shaking. Looking over her shoulder, Ais’s golden eyes widen as she saw Loki looking at her with tears welling up in her red eyes.

Loki pulled Ais into a warm hug from behind, squeezing her tightly, but gently as her shoulders shook. “Don’t ever do that again, Ais…” She let one of her tears fall onto Ais’s skin as she held her. “I can’t… I don’t want to see you suffering like that again…” Loki admitted, her voice shaking from what she’d just seen. The pain, the struggle, the horrible injuries that Ais had suffered, both from herself and Udaeus. The worst part had been watching all of Ais’s despair as she warred with both Udaeus and her own insecurities. “Please, Ais, you have to value your own life too… Please…”

Ais had never seen Loki like this before…and it struck her deeply. The genuine sadness, worry, concern, and pain in Loki’s voice and expression nearly made Ais’s heart hurt. “I’m…sorry.” She apologized softly, gently placing her hand over one of Loki’s. For the first time ever, Ais allowed Loki to hold her for as long as she wanted.

It was a few minutes later that Loki released Ais and wiped her eyes clear of tears. “Thank you, Ais-tan.”

“Mm.” Ais nodded while looking at Loki over her shoulder.

Loki moved all of the high quality Excelia into the Basic Abilities, watching as it shattered the limits of her vessel and broke Ais through to the next Level. It was such a Grand Feat for the Level 5 Ais to overcome Udaeus on her own, that there was simply no other possible outcome. “Hm?” Loki hummed as she saw new things manifest within Ais’s Falna. ‘Two? I guess that shouldn’t be too much of a surprise, give what Ais accomplished.’ She smiled softly at the back of Ais’s head. ‘And how much she’s opened up recently.’ Loki thought to herself as she deciphered the new additions into hieroglyphs to find out what they did and blinked in surprise. “Not quite what I expected, Ais-tan.” She wrote the two new developments into Ais’s Falna and then placed a blank paper onto Ais’s back, copying the update over with a twirl of her fingertip.

Ais looked over her shoulder curious, but very hopeful as she took the paper from Loki and looked at it.

“I can…” Ais’s eyes widened as she saw the potential on her Status Update. But she went completely silent when she saw her new magic and her new Skill.

“AIS-TAN IS LEVEL SIX!!!” Loki cheered loudly, she wasn’t expecting Ais to turn around and suddenly hug her. “Ais-tan?!” She nearly gaped, but didn’t want to waste the moment as she wrapped her arms around Ais and returned the hug with all of the warmth and affection that she could give. “I’m so proud of you, Ais-tan.” She whispered to Ais softly as she held the blonde young woman close.

Ais pulled back a long moment later, managing to get her emotions back under control. “Thank you.” She gave Loki a small smile before looking at her Status update again. “I have a new spell…and a new Skill.”

Loki’s red eyes widened and she quickly looked off to the side. “Um…Ais-tan, your dress.”

“Hm?” Ais looked down and saw that, in her burst of emotion and excitement, she’d let go of the front of her sundress, letting her bare breasts be seen by Loki. “Oh…” She reached down and pulled up the front of her dress to cover her breasts again. “…thank you, Loki.” Ais smiled gently, pleased by the change in how Loki acted compared to how the Goddess used to act around her.

“You’re welcome, Ais-tan.” Loki smiled back, though it was clear that she’d enjoyed the accidental exposure. Ais wasn’t going to hold that against the Goddess though, as it had been her own fault that her breasts had been exposed.

Ais held up the Status Update to Loki. “My new Skill?” She asked Loki to help her understand it a bit better. It was only her second Skill ever, so she didn’t have that much experience with them.

Loki looked at the Skill again and took a few seconds to consider it. “Can’t say that I’m not happy about your new Skill relating to my Pantheon, Ais-tan.” She smiled, seeing it as Ais opening up to her and possibly beginning to return her feelings, even if just a little. “Hræsvelgr is a jötunn, a giant, that has the form of an eagle. Known as the ‘Origin of the Wind’, he sits at the northernmost point of the heavens and the flap of his wings causes the wind that spreads across all nine realms.”

“You told me that story…when I was little.” Ais blinked as the memory resurfaced for the first time in years. She looked at her new Skill again and a small smile spread across her lips.

“I did.” Loki nodded at the fond memory. “The Skill seems pretty straightforward though. It increases the power of your Wind Magic, its range, and your magic will use less Mind for the same effect as before. The regenerating stamina will allow you to fight longer and resistance to attack magic is similar to the Magic Resistance Developmental Ability.” She pointed at the new magic. “You want to give this a try?”

Ais nodded and put the straps of her sundress back on her shoulders properly before she stood up. Taking a small breath Ais chanted the incantation for her new spell for the first time. “Embrace of the wind, protect us softly. Let the breeze pass with a smile, as burden gives way to the next wondrous breath. Mira Aura.” She cast and from her back soft, light green feathers made of magical energy formed and burst into the air. Ais looked on in wonder as she watched her new spell slowly form sylph-like wings upon her back. With a thought the feathers swirled around and filled the room, alighting upon everything, changing from the wing-like shape into something similar to a feather cloak upon Ais’s back. “It’s soft…” Ais murmured as she felt warm and safe, memories of being within her mother’s arms as a little girl filling her mind.

“It’s a wondrous breeze, alright.” Loki smiled, referencing the meaning of the name of Ais’s new spell, all while she glowed a soft green while the feathers fell upon her, only to vanish and leave a faint glow of protection on her.

“Yes…” Ais agreed as she let the spell fade and all of the soft green magical feathers vanished, the only lingering trace of the spell being the gentle glow around Loki. With a small smile at the warm memories that her new spell had brought up, as well as FINALLY moving past the plateau of strength that she’d been stuck on for so long, Ais pulled off the straps of her sundress again.

Loki blinked at the sudden exposure from Ais, even if it only lasted for a brief moment as Ais turned around and sat back down on the stool in front of her. “Ais-tan…?”

Ais moved her long hair over her shoulder while looking back at Loki. “It’s fine…” She said simply about showing her breasts to Loki for the short moment. “Can I…Level Up?”

“Of course, Ais-tan.” Loki nodded with a smile, not bringing up the sight of Ais’s tits, no matter how much she’d enjoyed the view. Placing a second drop of blood onto the still visible Falna, the blue-white glow returned and Loki advanced Ais’s Falna to Level 6. “You got a Developmental Ability this time, Ais-tan. Spirit Healing is rare…only Riveria has it in our entire Familia. You probably got it from using Ariel so much over the years.” She placed another blank paper against Ais’s back and copied the first Level 6 Status over. “Here you go, Ais-tan.” She handed the paper over while securely locking up Ais’s Falna.

Swordsman – H (Improves all Basic Abilities by a large amount when wielding a sword.)

Spirit Healing – I (Automatic Mind regeneration. The Ability begins regenerating Mind at a small rate after Magic use.)

-Status-

“My Swordsman Developmental Ability went up to ‘H’ Rank.” Ais noticed the increase to her previously newest Developmental Ability. That was even more new strength that she’d gained on top of her Level Up, her new Magic, and her new Skill. She was ecstatic and it showed in the beautiful smile she gave to Loki.

“We’re gonna have another big celebration tonight for your Level Up, Ais-tan!” Loki declared with a big grin.

Ais nodded once as she slipped the straps of her sundress over shoulders. “Okay.”

Loki laughed as she hugged Ais from behind…and she was thrilled when Ais didn’t reject her gentle affection. “Alright, I’ll inform the Familia about your Level Up and the celebration. I know that Bell and Lili Bean want to show off their new gear that they had made from the White Infant Dragon’s Drop Items.”

“Mhmm.” Ais had a little smile on her face as she knew the others were waiting for her. She let Loki hold her for a bit longer, even leaning her head back on Loki’s shoulder and enjoying the gentle affection for a bit.

Loki let Ais go, not wanting to push too far with this new level of affection that Ais was allowing. As Ais left, Loki smiled and threw her hands into the air. “Ais-tan’s love! Hehehehe!” She giggled loudly in joy as she spun around her office happily. She’d go report Ais’s Level Up to the Familia once she calmed down a little.

-Twilight Manor ~ Back Garden-

“There she is!” Tiona cheered as Ais walked into the back garden.

“We were wondering what took so long.” Tione said with a smile.

Lefiya tilted her head slightly, feeling something a bit different about Ais. ‘Is her magic power stronger?’ As an Elf, naturally gifted in magic, and with her own incredible potential and Mind reserves, Lefiya was very good at sensing magical power. Ais felt stronger than she did this morning, and Lefiya wondered if that meant that she’d managed to Level Up. ‘But if she did, Loki will announce it soon.’ Now wasn’t time to bring such a thing up; now was the time to let Bell and Lili show off their new equipment.

“Alright, now that Ais is here. Let’s see this shiny new gear of yours.” Aki grinned at Lili and Bell.

“You go first, Lili.” Bell smiled at his friend and Supporter.

Lili stepped forward and spread her new white dragonhide cloak wide, even twirling around once in it with a bright smile. “Lili’s new cloak is made from the hide of the White Infant Dragon! It’s nearly fireproof, pierce resistant, slash resistant, and has the Mending Attribute!”

“Ooh!” Tiona called out while she clapped along with everyone else.

“Heh!” Lili smiled brightly at the applause from everyone. “And then there’s these!” She spread the dragonhide cloak wide and revealed the two daggers sheathed on each of her hips. In the hands of a Prum, they were more like shortswords, which Lili demonstrated as she unsheathed both of them, revealing sharp blades with an interesting, subtle white wave-like hamon pattern. “These’re Skillful Grade daggers that the smith named ‘Twin White Claws’. They’re not magic weapons…but they do have a minor ability!” She gently placed the blade in her right hand atop the blade in her left hand and slid the edge along the back of the left blade.

Woosh

Flame alighted along both blades and Lili swung them in a wide arc, scattering fire and embers through the air. A second later the flames vanished, burning out without any fuel.

“That’s awesome.” Tione, another user of knives, mentioned of the twin daggers. “They catch fire when they cut, right? Was that the White Infant Dragon’s ability?”

“Sort of.” Lili said and Bell nodded. “The irregular could ignite its body and claws with intense flames at will.” She held up her daggers. “These can only do it while making contact with something in a swinging motion, and the flames aren’t very powerful, but they’re great weapons!”

Ais and Lefiya nodded at the explanation, both able to tell the difference in power between a magic weapon and a weapon that had a minor ability based on the materials it was made from.

“You two definitely earned such nice weapons after what you went through.” Aki smiled at Lili and Bell. “If you could make sure to keep watching out for Bell with them, we’d all appreciate that, Lili.” She said playfully.

“Lili will do her best!” Lili laughed as well, making all the women giggle and laugh while Bell accepted the playful ribbing from the one’s he loved with a little smile.

Ais looked at Bell. “Your armor is new.” The white armor looked similar to what Bell had before, though the style fit him better.

“It looks very nice.” Lefiya agreed, as she looked Bell over again for what had to be the fifth or sixth time since they’d all gathered in the back garden.

“It’s made from the White Infant Dragon’s scales and the hide lines the inside for extra protection.” Bell mentioned of his new armor with a smile as he turned around to let the girls get a good look at it. “It’s resistant to all forms of damage, though not as great with bludgeoning as the others. Almost completely flameproof and mixed with Light Metal for strength without too much extra weight.”

“Show us the sword, Bell!” Tiona cheered, her eyes on the sword at Bell’s hip.

Bell unsheathed his new sword, showing off its impressive blade. The back of the blade was pitch black, showing its Mithril content, while the cutting edge was almost pure white, much like the White Infant Dragon’s fangs had been. “This is my new ‘Gram’, forged from the fangs of the White Infant Dragon and Mithril. It greatly conducts Magic and is a Skillful Grade weapon.” With a swift swing, a leaf that had been floating towards the ground was cleanly sliced in two. “It’s incredibly sharp and still fairly light too!” Bell was all smiles as he let the girls all get a closer look at his new sword.

“It’s very nice.” Ais mentioned as she was allowed to hold Gram and get a feel for the weight and balance of the sword.

When Lefiya was handed the sword from Ais, she focused and pushed in some of her Mind, the magical energy faintly becoming visible along the cutting edge. “It’s not quite as efficient as my staff, but it channels magical energy very well.” She complimented the sword as she passed it to Tiona.

“Too light for me.” Tiona grinned as she easily swing the sword around in an intricate pattern through the air. “But it’s still nice!” She handed it to Tione to look over.

Tione inspected Gram, balancing it on her right index finger as soon as she found its center of gravity. “The balance is great…but you can’t expect anything less from Hephaestus Familia.” She easily took it in hand and went through a few test swings, thrusts, and even tossed it into the air, letting it spin twice, before catching its handle easily. “You’ll be hacking through the Middle Levels easy with this one!”

Aki smiled as she accepted the sword next. “Hephaestus quality really can’t be beat.” She thrust the sword forward twice, then went through a series of slashes, from every direction, even adding in footwork as she moved across the garden a bit and cut through the air with precision and speed. “Nice! It reminds me of my sword.” She handed Gram back to Bell with a grin. “Maybe we’ll have to have a little practice match soon.” Aki purred lowly, her eyes warm. “Maybe you’ll earn something this time~”

“Okay…” Bell agreed without thinking as he accepted his sword back.

All the girls laughed brightly at Bell’s instant acceptance of Aki’s invitation to spar.

-Dinner-

“TOO AIS-TAN FOR REACHING LEVEL 6!!!” Loki cheered, raising a flagon of booze into the air within the large cafeteria area.

“WHHHOOOAAA!!!” All of Loki Familia cheered while Ais blushed at Loki’s side, but raised her own flagon—of water—to match everyone’s toast to her accomplishment.

Loki climbed up onto the head table with a bright laugh. “NOW! A SONG TO CELEBRATE AIS-TAN!!!” The Goddess began to stomp her foot onto the table, starting up the beat of the song, one that many in the Loki Familia recognized as they began to sing.

“Raise your horns into the air, There is plenty ale to share!” The Loki Familia began to sing, Bell managing to follow along a half-second behind the rest. “All are welcome, take a chair, And sing a song loud and strong! Men of war and men of care, Maidens fierce and maidens fair! Raise your horns into the air, And sing a song loud and proud and strong! SKAL!” Flagons were raised towards Ais again in a toast. “SKAL! Sing loud and strong! SKAL! SKAL!” All of the flagons in the hall were held aloft towards Ais. “A toast and a thundering song!”

Ais couldn’t help but smile at the celebration being held in her honor, feeling the warmth and care of all of her Familia washing over her. The volume of the song truly was thunderous within the large dining area.

NORSE CELEBRATION!!! YEAH!!!

Ais and Bell had quite the little lovey-dovey morning! Progressing their relationship together after spending all night sleeping nearly naked and wrapped in each other’s arms.

So cute!

Not only did Ais Level Up, but her opening up more since Bell has joined the Loki Familia, and accepting that she wants her friends around AND the strength to protect them, she’s developed a new Magic and a new Skill too!

Ais letting down the walls around her heart has actually opened the path for her to gain the strength that she has sought since she was a little girl.

Love is a very powerful and wonderful thing!

Bell and Lili’s new gear is fucking awesome! Lili’s daggers can make fire with friction as she cuts and slashes! Her cloak is a great defensive item as well! Bell’s armor is going to make the Monsters in the Middle Levels have one hell of a time trying to hurt him! His new ‘Gram’ is also MUCH stronger and better at conducting magical energy…meaning that Bell’s Enchantment Magic will be more efficient than with his old sword!

Man…the Middle Floors are in for a bad time once Bell and Lili get there! Kek!
