Chapter 23 – Bulma’s Training, the Lost Dragon Ball

Bulma continued to climb Korin Tower as the day slowly turned to night. Stopping to acclimate to the ever thinner oxygen when she needed to had helped her preserve her stamina and kept her climbing speed steady all day. As the last rays of sunlight disappeared beyond the horizon, Bulma couldn’t help but take a moment to admire the clear view of the stars in the sky.

“Beautiful.” Bulma breathed out as she could see more stars than she had ever seen before. After she’d gotten her breath back, Bulma continued her climb with steady speed while wondering if she was getting close to the top yet.

The answer turned out to be ‘no’.

Bulma had to stop after another few hours of climbing after sunset. She tightly wrapped her tail around one of the protrusions on the tower, secured her feet as best as she could, and made sure to lean against the tower as much as possible. Once she was as comfortable as she could get, she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.

The beginnings of dawn awoke Bulma hours later, the first rays of sunlight hitting her closed eyes.

“Fucking sun…” Bulma grumbled as she turned away from the light and slowly opened her eyes. With a grumble, she did her best to stretch out her body from her awkward sleeping position. A pop or two was heard before Bulma resumed her climb, still not seeing the top of Korin Tower yet.

-Timber Village ~ Mountainous Region South of East City-

Krillin had been traveling along the coast between the mountains and the shore of the ocean ever since leaving Mt. Paozu behind. He’d kept up his training by traveling on foot, climbing some of the various mountains, traveling through canyons, ravines, and even swimming against the current of a fast moving river. The wandering martial artist lifestyle had certainly expanded Krillin’s worldview some more. Passing through various small villages and towns had let him meet many kind people that had been more than happy to give Krillin a place to sleep at night or giving him a free meal on his training journey.

“This isn’t what I expected today.” Krillin said to himself as he stopped just outside of the logging village that he’d been told would take him north towards East City.

“Hand over your valuables and we’ll let you live!” A large and rough-looking man in ragged clothing demanded, brandishing a sword at the cowering villagers.

“You heard the boss!” A smaller, lanky bandit mocked the villagers.

In total, almost twenty bandits, plus their large boss, had the entire village held at weapon point. Swords, spears, rifles, pistols, and even large clubs were used to threaten the villagers as their money and valuables were stolen.

One of the bandits was eyeing up some of the women of Timber Village. “Hey, boss! Can’t we take a few women with us too?” he leered at the, now terrified, women.

“Huh…” The large man stalked over, his heavy steps loud against the ground. “Maybe we should…” He eyed up the terrified women. “This little village certainly has some nice-looking women.” His ugly smirk was the last straw for the father of one of the girls.

“Like hell, you bastards!” The lumberjack threw himself at the bandit boss with his fist cocked back to deck him straight in the face.

The bandit boss swung his large sword straight at the father with mocking jeer. “If you want to die for your kid, I’ll help you!” His hand swung through the air but his sword wasn’t in it anymore. “Huh?”

The lumberjack slugged the large bandit man in the face, staggering him back two steps. “Get outta our village, you bandit scum!”

“You son of a-!” the lanky bandit that seemed to be the second-in-command cursed as he aimed his pistol at the lumberjack.

The screams of the women and the yells of the other village men rang out a split-second before the bang of a gunshot filled the village.

The father had spread his arms wide, shielding his daughter behind him, and had closed his eyes and grit his teeth to bear the intense pain of being shot.

But there was no pian.

“That’s enough out of you all.” Krillin said, standing in front of the lumberjack, his clenched fist held out in front of him. Slowly opening his fingers, the bullet fell from Krillin’s hand and landed on the ground for everyone to see.

“Eh?!” The entire village cried out in shock at what the short, bald martial artist had done before any of them had even noticed him.

The lanky bandit gaped at Krillin in shock and disbelief. “H-How…?”

“WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?!” The bandit boss roared loudly as he glared at Krillin.

Krillin held up the large sword he’d snatched from the bandit boss. “I’m the guy that took your sword.”

The other bandits looked at their boss’s large sword almost uncomprehendingly.

“When did he…?”

“I didn’t even see him.”

“Th-That’s impossible!”

The bandit boss growled at Krillin. “You little bastard! You think you’re some kind of hero?!”

“No.” Krillin shook his head once as he let the large sword fall to the ground. The eyes of the bandits followed the large weapon as it fell.

“Guh!” The lanky second-in-command hacked out as Krillin’s fist folded him over.

The swift movement snapped the rest of the bandits from watching the falling sword. The weapon clattered to the ground, and Krillin had already moved again.

“Ack!”

“Gah!”

Two more bandits fell, their guns knocked out of their hands faster than anyone had seen, and Krillin’s elbows having slammed into their stomachs, knocking the wind from both men and making them crumple to the ground. Krillin blurred and seemingly vanished to the eyes of everyone. A bandit flying across the open area and then crashing to the ground in a heap revealed that Krillin had taken the man’s back as his foot and leg were still extended from the sidekick.

“Kill him!” The bandit boss roared out as he charged Krillin along with the rest of the bandits.

Krillin lowered his leg and skipped forward, suddenly in the bandit boss’s guard. He slammed his knee into the large man’s gut, making the man hack out air and spittle while his eyes rolled back in his head as he lost consciousness. Krillin dodged a thrust of a spear and snapped the spearhead off with a simple chop of his hand. Grabbing the shaft of the broken weapon, Krillin jerked it forward and slammed a palm strike into the bandit’s face, knocking the man out.

“Yah!” A bandit brought his club down on Krillin.

“Got you!” A second bandit came at Krillin with a sword.

Crack

Everyone’s eyes widened as Krillin’s fist shattered the large wooden club easily.

Krillin slapped the sloppy sword swing aside, knocking it from the second bandit’s hands. A double snap kick sent both bandits flying backwards to slam harshly onto the ground. With a quick step forward, Krillin was right beside another bandit and tripped the taller man.

“Oof!” The bandit hacked out as he slammed into the ground. He was silenced by a swift chop from Krillin, knocking the man out.

“He’s just one guy!” Another bandit yelled out as he rushed at Krillin with his own club.

Krillin kicked the club as it was swung at him. The wood shattered into splinters, and keeping his momentum going, Krillin spun and brought his opposite leg up to slam a spinning hook kick into the side of the bandit’s head. The man collapsed to the ground like a ragdoll dropped by a child. “Hup!” He vanished again and in the next instant another bandit was folded over Krillin’s fist.

“You little-!” A bandit swung his club at Krillin from behind.

The short martial artist crouched down, letting the swing go wide and throw the bandit’s balance off. Like a striking snake, Krillin’s hand lashed out and grabbed the outstretched arm right around the wrist. A painful twist forced the bandit to drop his club, only to then be shoulder-thrown straight into the ground. The man went limp, clearly unconscious from meeting the ground so harshly.

The rest of the bandits, now clearly freaked out, all rushed Krillin at once from every direction, weapons raised high to bring them down on the martial artist.

“Kiai!” Krillin roared loudly, throwing his arms out wide.

A powerful force slammed into the ten bandits and sent them flying. Each of them slammed into the ground, the wall of one of the closest buildings, or bounced across the dirt and grass at the edge of the village entrance. Not a single bandit remained conscious after that. Twenty-one armed men, all willing to kill, and Krillin wasn’t even breathing hard after taking all of them down.

“Is everyone alright?” Krillin turned to the villagers with a small smile.

The sudden cheer that rose up from the gathered people nearly startled Krillin.

“Amazing!”

“Did you see him?!”

“He’s so strong!”

Krillin laughed a little at the amazement and praise coming from the villagers.

An older man, grey hair and an equally grey beard, came forward from the crowd. “Thank you, young man.” He bowed to Krillin in thanks for his gallant deed.

“Think nothing of it, elder.” Krillin replied as he put his hands together and bowed properly to the old man, just as he’d been taught as a monk in Orin Temple.

“It’s been many years since I saw a young martial artist on a training journey. Ho ho ho…” The old man chuckled as he smiled at Krillin. “As the elder of Timber Village, I insist on you staying with us tonight as we throw a large banquet for you, young warrior!”

“Yeah!” The villagers agreed readily, most of the men already using rope to tie up the bandits, while the women confiscated the weapons and carried them away.

Krillin bowed properly to the elder and the villagers once more. “I thank you for your generosity.”

“Call the police in Pepper Town to come get these bandit bastards!” The lumberjack that had punched the bandit boss called out as he tightened the ropes on the unconscious bandit.

It was a couple hours later that the banquet started. The police had arrived in large numbers to drag the bandits to the much larger Pepper Town and throw them in jail. The sun had set and Krillin was the guest of honor in the Timber Village banquet hall. He rubbed the back of his head with a bright smile as everyone toasted to Krillin’s heroic deed. The food was seemingly endless, along with drinks, and Krillin would be lying if he said that he didn’t enjoy the attentions of the girls around his age as they all asked him about his strength and some even wanted to feel his muscles.

I wonder if Goku and Bulma are having this much fun on their training journeys?’ Krillin thought to himself as he accepted a drink from the village elder while the man’s granddaughter practically hugged Krillin’s free arm with a bright smile on her face.

-Korin Tower-

Bulma was breathing heavily, not having eaten in almost a full day now, as she continued to climb. “Why… Is this tower… So tall…?” Bulma panted out since she had kept climbing for so long. “So hungry…” She lamented as her stomach growled loudly for food.

A round structure caught Bulma’s blue-eyes as she glanced up again. Recalling what Goku had told her about the top of Korin Tower, Bulma’s eyes widened in hope.

“The top!” Bulma exclaimed as she forced her body to move as fast as it could in her hungry state. “Just a bit more… Almost there…” She continued to reassure herself as she ascended higher and higher, the top looming larger and larger as she got closer. Reaching the bottom of the structure, Bulma grabbed onto one of the circular openings and grunted as she hauled herself up and over the edge. With a heavy exhale, Bulma flopped onto her back and panted for breath. “F-Finally… Made it…”

It was only a few moments later that Bulma realized that someone had come to greet her.

“My, my, two visitors in less than a week? That’s never happened before.” Korin said as he looked at the exhausted Bulma with some amusement.

Bulma blinked as she looked at Korin. Sure, she knew that the hermit master atop the tower was a white cat, thanks to Goku, but it was still a little surreal to actually see it. With a slight grunt, Bulma rolled over and then prostrated herself in a dogeza before Korin. “Master Korin, I climbed the tower to seek you teachings.”

Korin hummed at Bulma’s respectful display. “You’re quite respectful, Miss Bulma.” The white cat chuckled slightly. “Goku has quite the interesting girlfriend.”

Bulma sat upright, now in seiza, before she spoke. “Thank you?”

“Well, you successfully climbed the tower, so you’ve earned the right to attempt to drink the holy water.” Korin turned and motioned for Bulma to follow him as he headed for the stairs that led up to the main floor of his home.

“Goku told me about the fake water.” Bulma said, wanting to be honest as she followed after Korin. She briefly glanced over the railing of the stairs and wasn’t surprised that all she could see below were clouds.

Korin snickered a bit as they reached the top of the stairs. “I’m aware. However, your task remains the same.” He snagged the bottle’s handle with the top of his wooden staff. “Take the bottle from me as fast as you can.” He began to lightly wave the top of his staff around, much like a cat toy.

Bulma stretched a bit to limber up, but the loud growling of her stomach interrupted that. She blushed slightly and looked at Korin with a lopsided smile. “I don’t suppose you have one of those magic beans that Goku told me about?”

“You Saiyans truly have remarkable appetites…” Korin deadpanned even as he tossed Bulma a small bean that was light green in color. “They’re called Senzu beans by the way.”

“Right.” Bulma caught the bean easily. “Thank you.” She popped the Senzu into her mouth and chewed it for a moment before swallowing it. Only a moment later and Bulma looked down at her tummy before rubbing her hand over it once. “I was starving… Now I’m stuffed!” It was incredible to go from hungry to completely full in such a short time.

Korin nodded with a little smile. “Indeed.” He waved the top of his staff again, the water within the bottle sloshing around audibly. “Now, let’s begin your training, shall we?”

Bulma blurred forward, her fingertips nearly touched the bottle, but it was moved out of her reach easily as Korin pivoted and then hopped back two steps. “Left and then two steps back…” She said under her breath.

“You’re quite nimble on your feet.” Korin complimented as Bulma came after the bottle again. With deft steps, the ease of which wasn’t lost on Bulma, the hermit master easily weaved the bottle around all of Bulma’s attempts to grab it.

“Right, sidestep, pivot left, backstep…” Bulma mumbled the steps and movements that she saw Korin make as they both blurred around the large open space. ‘If there’s a pattern, then I just need to find it.

Korin easily realized what Bulma was doing and almost smiled. ‘Not quite what I’m trying to teach her. However, looking for patterns in an opponent’s movements is a decent first step to learning how to anticipate any moves that someone might make.

The two kept at it for almost three hours straight with Bulma slowly getting closer and closer to the bottle…even if only by miniscule amounts.

“Right!” Bulma suddenly lashed out with her right hand, her fingertips almost brushing the wood of Korin’s staff before it blurred and her fingers passed through the After Image left behind.

“My, my, quite the intelligent one, aren’t you?” Korin asked with a cheshire grin.

Bulma huffed a little. “I am a genius. But not the martial arts prodigy that Goku is.” Her breath steady again, Bulma blurred and left eight After Images to surround Korin.

Korin stepped forward, his staff swinging in the same direction, pulling it out of Bulma’s reach as she blurred behind the cat. “You climbed smarter than Goku as well, allowing yourself to acclimate to the thinner air along the way. You lose your breath less often than he did, and regain it faster.”

“Backstep, right, staff backwards!” Bulma stopped right in front of Korin, pivoted on her lead foot, and lunged forward, hands outstretched to grab the bottle atop the wooden staff.

“Correct.” Korin performed the exact moves that Bulma had said, one after the other. “However, pattern recognition is only one part of actually anticipating and predicting your opponent’s moves.” He blurred upwards, planted one foot atop Bulma’s head, and then flipped forward to land easily behind Bulma as she stumbled forward from being thrown off balance. “After all, I anticipated your prediction of my moves.” He chuckled as Bulma regained her balance.

Bulma let out a slow exhale before breathing in. “Let’s go again!” She shot forward, looking to out speed Korin this time.

Korin waved her off and weaved around Bulma easily. “Take a break, we have a guest.”

“Wha?” Bulma stumbled a bit before getting her feet back under her. Her confusion was nearly palpable at the sudden break.

“Bulma!” Goku called out as he rushed up the stairs and into the main floor of Korin’s home.

“Goku?!” Bulma exclaimed, surprised to suddenly see her boyfriend. “What’re you doing here?”

Goku gave Korin a proper bow. “Nice to see you again, Master Korin.”

Korin nodded to Goku. “You as well, Goku.” The hermit master hummed lightly. “I see. You’ve dealt with the Red Ribbon Army and have only one Dragon Ball left to find.”

“Yep!” Goku smiled at the white cat.

Bulma had made her way over and took Goku’s shoulders in her hands. “You did WHAT?!” The way she was looking at Goku made the male Saiyan suddenly feel like he’d messed up.

“You two catch up, I’ll make us all some tea.” Korin laughed as he trotted over to the stairs and headed down to the kitchen area. The bottle of water still swayed from the stop of the wooden staff…almost mockingly in Bulma’s opinion.

A short time later all three of them were sitting at a low table after having enjoyed some tea. Goku had explained his fight with the Red Ribbon Army and how he’d collected the two Dragon Balls that the evil organization had in their possession.

“But when I used the Dragon Radar to try and find the last Dragon Ball…it was gone.” Goku finished as he showed Bulma the screen with the six yellow dots on it.

“Gone?” Bulma looked confused as she clicked the button on top of the radar and then twisted it to expand the range. “I can only think of two reasons that a Dragon Ball wouldn’t show up on the radar.” She kept expanding the range until she reached the maximum and still didn’t see the seventh Dragon Ball. “Either it was swallowed by some kind of animal…”

Goku tilted his head. “Swallowed?”

Bulma nodded. “Yeah, the bodies of living creatures block the specific wavelength that the Dragon Balls emit. If it’s been swallowed, we’ll have to wait for nature to take its course.”

“Oh! You mean we have to wait for it to be pooped out!” Goku pounded his fist on top of his palm.

“Don’t say gross stuff like that, Goku.” Bulma made a face at her boyfriend.

“Okay.” Goku agreed with a smile. “What’s the other reason that the radar couldn’t find the last Dragon Ball?”

Bulma grimaced as she looked at the radar screen. “There are a few rare materials that can also block the wavelength of the Dragon Balls…but they’re not cheap. Plus, the only reason that I can think of for someone to place a Dragon Ball inside something made from any of those materials is if they knew about the Dragon Balls and understood how to make a radar to track them down.”

Korin sipped his tea quietly before speaking up. “So, it seems you have more competition for the Dragon Balls than you thought.”

“I wonder who it could be?” Goku wondered if it was more of the Red Ribbon Army or someone else.

“Well, just because you wiped out Red Ribbon Army headquarters doesn’t mean that some of them aren’t still out there trying to fulfill their mission.” Bulma mused as she picked up her tea cup. “But if they could hide their Dragon Balls, why didn’t they do it for the ones they found?” She sipped her tea as she tried to think of a way to find the seventh Dragon Ball.

Goku finished off his tea with a smile. Watching Bulma think like this always brought a little smile to his face. To Goku it made Bulma look cute as she tossed various ideas around in her head.

“I believe your master may know of a way to find your lost Dragon Ball.” Korin said with a little amusement.

“Master Roshi might know a way?” Goku asked, standing up with an excited smile on his face.

Bulma looked at Korin curiously. “What way is that?” As far as she knew, Roshi didn’t have any trinket or connections that could help them locate a Dragon Ball that the Dragon Radar couldn’t find.

Korin chuckled as he set his tea cup down. “His older sister.”

“He has a sister?!” Bulma and Goku both cried out at the same time.

“Indeed…” Korin’s ears had flattened against his head from the volume.

Goku looked like he was seconds away from hopping off the tower and calling for Nimbus. “I’ll head over to Kame House right away!” He then stopped and looked at Bulma. “Wait… You don’t have any Capsules to get back if I leave with Nimbus.”

Bulma smiled warmly at Goku for thinking of her before he rushed off. “It’s alright, Goku.” She leaned in and left a small kiss on his lips. “I still have training to complete.” She said while glancing at Korin. “I think I’ll still need a couple more days.”

“Ho ho ho… Confident, aren’t you?” Korin chuckled at Bulma.

“So, you head out for now, and come pick me up in three or four days, okay?” Bulma ignored Korin’s little provocation.

“Okay!” Goku beamed at Bulma, making her smile back reflexively. He pulled Bulma into a warm hug for a long moment before letting her go. “I’ll see you soon, Bulma!”

Bulma laughed as she watched Goku rush to the railing and leap off of it without hesitation. “See you in a few days, Goku!” She called out right before Goku fell out of sight.

“NIMBUS!!!” Goku’s loud voice called out and only a few seconds later both Korin and Bulma saw the golden cloud heading away from the tower.

“Only a few days…eh?” Korin snickered at Bulma.

Bulma smirked at Korin and flipped the low table, cutting off the hermit master’s sight of her. “Damn right!” Four After Images appeared from behind the table as Korin leapt backwards.

The airborne table being launched at him was slightly unexpected, but he nimbly dodged the flying furniture. Bulma followed right after the table, using it to hide her movements, and her hand struck out to grab the bottle.

“Ho ho!” Korin laughed as he weaved the staff away from Bulma’s hands. “Not bad, not bad!”

-Goku-

Flying through the air, Goku headed straight for Kame House on the Training Island. “Faster, Nimbus!” He urged the magical cloud as they shot across the sky, heading southeast like a golden comet.

It would be hours later, as the sun was beginning to set, that Goku swept down from the sky and landed in front of the pink, two-story Kame House.

“Master Roshi! Caulifla! Kale! Launch!” Goku yelled out in greeting as he hopped onto the porch.

The screen door swung open and nearly hit Goku in the face.

In the next instant, he was nearly tackled by Caulifla and Kale, both young women hugging Goku tightly. With a bright smile, Goku wrapped his arms around both girls and hugged them back.

“Goku!” Kale beamed at Goku once she finally pulled back from the hug.

Caulifla smirked at Goku once she let him free from her hug. “Took you a while!” Looking around, Caulifla blinked. “Where’s Bulma?”

Kale also looked around in confusion now that she realized that Bulma wasn’t with Goku.

“She’s training with Master Korin.” Goku answered, as if Kale and Caulifla would know who that was.

“Who?” Caulifla and Kale asked at the same time.

Roshi, however, nearly fell over in surprise. “Did you say that Bulma is training with Master Korin?!”

Goku, now able to enter Kame House, laughed and nodded as he sat down across from Roshi. “Yep! I trained with Master Korin too! I took me three days to get the water!”

“Th-Three days…?” Roshi looked absolutely stunned by how fast Goku had managed what had taken him three years.

“Who is Master Korin?” Launch (currently blue-haired) asked politely as she set out a drink for Goku with a smile.

It took a while for Goku to explain what he and Bulma had been up to since they’d left the Training Island. The looks of surprise from the others when he mentioned destroying the Red Ribbon Army and collecting their Dragon Balls was kind of funny. But unbeknownst to Goku, Master Roshi had his own private thoughts about Goku’s slaying of Taopaipai.

No one could say that Taopaipai didn’t deserve his fate. But I can’t imagine that Tsuru Sen’nin will stay quite about his brother’s death.’ Roshi thought to himself, managing to keep his expression hidden from his students. ‘I can only imagine when he’ll make his move to enact revenge.’ He knew his old fellow disciple very well, after all, and getting revenge was something that the other man would pursue wholeheartedly.

“Master Roshi?” Goku lightly shook the old man.

“Huh?” Roshi shook himself and saw everyone looking at him. “Sorry about that, got lost in my thoughts after hearing about your exploits, my boy! Ahahaha…”

Kale sighed at their master with a small smile. “Master, Goku asked you something.”

“Pay attention, old man!” Caulifla was much more direct in her admonishment.

Roshi looked at Goku. “Right, right. What did you need?”

“The Dragon Radar can’t find the last Dragon Ball, but Master Korin said that your sister might be able to?” Goku said as he looked at Roshi hopefully.

“Ah, I see.” Roshi nodded as he sipped his evening beer. “Yes, if there’s a place where you might be able to locate the lost Dragon Ball, it would be at the palace of Fortune-teller Baba, the ‘All-Seeing Old Crone’…” He let out a little sigh. “My elder sister has the power to divine the location of any lost object.”

Goku perked up and got a big smile on his face. “Really! Where is she?”

“Launch, could you bring the map in the top drawer over here?” Roshi requested politely.

Launch smiled she opened the top drawer in the kitchen and found a folded up map. “I’ve got it.” She brought it over and unfolded it, revealing that it was a world map.

“Thank you.” Roshi said before looking he map over and then placing his finger over one spot. “Her palace is right here, pretty much in the middle of nowhere. She doesn’t like to be bothered by just anyone.”

Caulifla cocked an eyebrow at that. “So… Would she help Goku?”

Goku turned to Roshi, looking eager for an answer.

“Well… With Goku’s strength, she’d probably help him.” Roshi rubbed the back of his head. “But even with how strong Goku is… It might be better to have all of us go.”

“Couldn’t you ask your sister for a favor, Master?” Kale asked curiously.

Roshi looked off to the side. “She doesn’t really do favors for me.” The relationship between him and his sister wasn’t exactly strained…but the two long-lived siblings didn’t get involved with each other all that often either.

“I’m ready to go!” Caulifla said with a grin. “We can do other kinds of training while we’re on the trip!” Doing the same things day after day had gotten a bit boring for the fiery Saiyan girl.

“Sis, it’s already night.” Kale pointed out the time. “Shouldn’t we go in the morning?”

“Ah… Ah…” Launch inhaled and her face lightly scrunch up as something irritated her nose. “Achoo!” Her hair turned from blue to blonde and her eyes became green. “Huh?” Blonde Launch blinked and looked around. “Goku?” She was surprised to see him since he hadn’t been at Kame House the last time she’d been in control.

Goku smiled at Launch. “Hi Launch!” He motioned her over and presented the bag holding the Dragon Balls. “I’ve got six of the Dragon Balls now!”

Launch gave Goku a soft smile, very different from her usual rough personality. “I see.” She sat down next to Goku and pulled him into a hug. “Thanks, Goku.” She mumbled into his wild black hair.

“You’re welcome.” Goku returned the hug with a smile of his own.

Roshi looked at Launch and began to explain the plan to head for Fortune-teller Baba’s palace to divine the location of the last Dragon Ball. “If you want to come along, it may be advantageous to getting your wish right after.”

“Count me in!” Launch punched her fist into her opposite palm. “I haven’t gotten to go on an adventure with Goku yet!” She grinned at Goku.

“It’ll be great!” Goku agreed with Launch.

This could be good training for the three of them.’ Roshi thought as he saw the excitement of his three students. ‘All of them are strong, and if there was anyone I’d take that isn’t a martial artist, it would be Launch’s wild side.’ The old master nodded slightly to himself. He knew his older sister wouldn’t allow him to help the four… But he believed in them, despite the challenge that he knew now lay before them.

“We should probably get to bed then.” Kale said as she looked over at the clock. “If we leave early in the morning, we’ll get there before the day is over…I think.” She looked at the world map again and tried to guess how long it would take them to fly over to the location that Roshi had pointed out.

Caulifla shrugged with a grin. “Sure, why not?” He dark eyes locked onto Goku. “You’re staying with us tonight, Goku.”

Goku nodded with a smile. “Sure!”

Kale and Caulifla practically dragged Goku out the door a moment later. Launch quickly followed after them, telling the two Saiyan women that they couldn’t hog Goku.

“Lucky little monkey…” Roshi pouted at all the female attention his student received.

-Capsule House ~ Master Bedroom-

Goku, in nothing but his boxers, smiled as he watched Caulifla, Launch, and Kale strip down to nothing but their panties as they prepared for bed.

“You like, Goku?” Caulifla teased with a cocky smirk on her lips. She flaunted her body without a care in front of Goku.

“Yep!” Goku answered brightly, his eyes drinking in the sight of Caulifla’s body, from her face, to her tits, down her toned stomach, to her panties, then down her thighs and legs.

Kale let Goku look at her almost naked body with a cute expression on her face. “Me too, Goku?”

Goku nodded as he burned the image of Kale into his mind; from her cute face, to her nice breasts capped with darker nipples, her trim and toned tummy, her simple panties, healthy thighs, and down her legs to her feet. “Yeah…”

Kale couldn’t help but giggle at Goku’s intense gaze as it sparked a pleasant feeling throughout her body.

“Don’t think I’m going to lose.” Launch said confidently as she pulled off her bra and let her tits bounce into Goku’s view. “My girls are big and bouncy~” She bounced on her heels once, making her tits bounce around as Goku’s eyes followed her pink nipples as they moved. “And I’ve got a nice ass!” She turned around and leaned forward slightly before shaking her hips a bit.

“Uh huh!” Goku agreed, not blinking as he stared at Launch’s ass, barely covered by her panties at all.

Caulifla, never one to back down from a challenge, quickly turned around to show off her ass too. “We’ve got nice asses too! Right, Kale?” She looked over at her ‘Sis’ with fire in her eyes.

Kale, now blushing visibly, could only nod. “R-Right!” She slowly turned around and showed off her butt to Goku, she copied Launch’s previous motions and let her tail sway behind her.

Goku was smiling like a dope now, greatly enjoying the sight of the three girls showing off for him.

“I think this would look even better with a Saiyan tail.” Caulifla said with a smirk as she brought her hand down lightly on Launch’s ass, giving it a little swat.

“Oi!” Launch stared Caulifla down, the two fiery women not breaking their gazes, even as Caulifla’s hand stayed on Launch’s booty.

“Sis…” Kale’s tone was an interesting mix of nervous, but warning.

Caulifla and Launch broke their stare down while giving each other a smirk.

“It’s fine.” Launch waved off the light spank to her ass. “But fair is fair.” She brought her hand down on Caulifla’s ass.

“Hey…” Caulifla had visibly twitched and her tail swayed behind her playfully. “Don’t start what you can’t finish.”

The two women grinned at one another…only to notice that Kale wasn’t standing next to them anymore. Quickly turning to the bed, they found Kale already cuddled up with Goku. With a smug little grin on her lips (which made her look adorably sexy) Kale’s tail entwined with Goku’s as she lay curled up to his side with his arm around her.

“Little sneak.” Launch laughed as she quickly crawled across the bed and stole Goku’s lips for a kiss.

Caulifla nearly leapt into the bed as she crawled over to Goku to take his lips as soon as Launch and Goku pulled away from each other. “Mine~” She had a slight growl in her tone that made the hair of both Goku and Kale visibly spike up a little.

Launch cocked an eyebrow at the sight, realizing it was something new that she didn’t know about Saiyans. “Wild…” She said under her breath as she grinned and cuddled into Goku’s side as his arm wrapped around her waist and pulled her close.

Caulifla and Goku pulled away from each other’s lips with heavy breaths as they looked into each other’s eyes. Goku let out a low groan as Caulifla shifted her hips around atop him.

“Mmm…” Caulifla let out a low rumble from her chest at the pleasant friction before she almost buried her face into Goku’s chest and breathed in his scent deeply.

Kale was much the same, her tail tightening around Goku’s a bit as she nuzzled into Goku’s neck and breathed in his scent.

Goku tightened his hold on Kale’s waist and gave Launch a warm (and very sexy in the blonde’s opinion) look as she managed to pull the blanket over the four of them. The warmth quickly lulled the four of them to sleep, reason and logic winning out over instinct once again as Kale and Caulifla kept themselves to being satisfied with their closeness with Goku.

I should make sure I can word the wish right.’ Launch thought to herself as she snuggled into Goku and Caulifla, who was lying atop Goku’s chest.

Kale snuggled into Goku and Caulifla from the opposite side with a little sigh filled with contentment.

All four slept well that night, not knowing of the challenge that they’d face the next day.

Bulma’s training is going well! Her innate genius not only allows her to make different decisions from Goku (such as acclimating on the way up the tower, rather than climbing as fast as possible) and she’s figuring out Korin’s patterns quickly, taking the first step to anticipating an opponent’s moves even faster than Goku did!

Krillin’s training journey is still going well too! We see him resolve an issue of injustice as he beats the shit out of a group of bandits threatening a village! He might be short, but Krillin’s a badass! Act like a dipshit, you’re gonna get hit! Kek!

And Bulma comes through again as she figures out the only two options for why the last Dragon Ball doesn’t show up on the radar! Either it’s been swallowed by a living creature, or it’s being purposefully hidden by someone that’s familiar with the Dragon Balls and the specific wavelength they emit!

At Korin’s suggestion, Goku heads to Master Roshi’s to learn the location of the Turtle Hermit’s older sister: The All-Seeing Crone, Fortune-teller Baba!

It quickly becomes a group trip as Kale, Caulifla, and Launch are all ready to help Goku to find the final Dragon Ball!

Will the four manage to conquer the challenge of the All-Seeing Crone?

Keep reading to find out!

Comments

Kek! He can be very annoying, and he often only causes problems...even if those problems become a major plot point (like Piccolo Daimao).

Kairomaru

Pilaf feels like the one filler character that needs to be killed off I hated every time he showed up even if it was just pumping up for the next arc in dragon Ball

Boss Redd

More than two, at any rate! lol

Kairomaru

Man goku is going to have so many children when he will grow up.
