Harry Potter and the Artificer Legacy Chapter 83

Hey friends and fans! Kairomaru is bringing you another chapter of Harry Potter and the Artificer Legacy! As time continues to march on, this new world of magic keeps turning. With Harry’s creation of the Heat Core to use as a power source for electricity production for the Non-Magical and the new Ward Posts that he and Penny created together, settlements can stabilize and begin to rebuild and even thrive once more. Civilization is both fragile and resilient, it’s all a matter of how much work and effort is put in to maintain it. Humanity may never again be the undisputed masters of the planet now that the world has returned to its ancient magical power, but that doesn’t mean they won’t thrive and still travel the world as they’ve done since time immemorial.

Chapter 83 – Stability of Civilization

Sitting at the table just after breakfast, Harry read the newspaper with a bit of interest for the first time in a while. “More fights between Magicals? What is that about?” It was becoming a common story in the Daily Prophet and other newspapers nowadays.

Tonks, finishing off the last of her morning tea, answered Harry’s question. “There’s been headway on the cause of the ‘Great Change’ not too long ago. A shadowy cabal of secretive Wizards and Witches apparently spent a few centuries setting up all over the world to initiate the change.” That got Harry, Penny, and Fleur to all look at Tonks in surprise. “Yeah, that was my reaction too.” Tonks nodded to her family. “The fights are apparently other Witches and Wizards seeking justice or vengeance against the known members of that shadowy cabal. They’re taking the Law into their own hands and the resulting fights are happening all over the world now.”

“Are you going to be dragged into it, love?” Penny asked Tonks, worried that with her ‘sister’ being an Auror she might get put on a case to bring in one of the Witches or Wizards that caused the ‘Great Change’.

“If any of them are found within the borders of Magical Britain, it’s possible.” Tonks said with a drawn out sigh. “But anywhere else is out of my jurisdiction, so I don’t have to worry about those.”

Fleur looked over Hary’s shoulder to read the article about the fights against those responsible for the ‘Great Change’. “Several from this secretive cabal have been slain already, but many that’ve gone after them have died instead. They must have many powerful members for so many notable Wizards and Witches to have died trying to seek revenge.” Fleur said as she noticed a list of places that fights had taken place and the list of deaths below that. She wouldn’t speak on justice, that wasn’t her place, but she knew revenge was a powerful motivator and this global cabal had caused millions of deaths, even if they hadn’t intended to.

“Hopefully, this doesn’t become a problem for us.” Harry said with a shake of his head. He had more important things to do than try and hunt down powerful, secretive Witches and Wizards to try and punish them for their actions.

“Agreed.” Tonks smiled at her family as she set her teacup down. “The last thing I need is more chaos and confusion at work.”

The Ministry of Magic was only just now starting to become more functional again. Many positions had ended up filled by competent people after a sharp loss in the Purebloods that had supported Voldemort. Now those new hires and Department Heads were being trained to lead in the Ministry that was part of the British government, rather than being its own completely separate and autonomous entity. There were even talks about electing a new Minister of Magic soon to represent the magical population of the United Kingdom in the government.

-Birmingham, West Midlands, England-

Work was being done by a large crew of laborers at the edge of the city today. The work involved setting up Ward Posts around the large metropolitan area to protect it from dangerous magical creatures. Already the large crew had managed to set up almost a hundred posts and they were only one crew of several.

“Keep it up, lads!” One of the older workers called out as another hole was dug into the ground with a diesel-powered auger drill. “The faster we get these posts in, the faster we can get back to getting the city back up and running properly!”

Another man with a clipboard in hand walked up to the older worker and spoke just loud enough to be heard over the equipment. “Sir, if we keep using the augers, our remaining supply of diesel is going to run out before we’re done.”

The older man grimaced. “Shite. I thought you might say that.” Everyone knew that most fossil fuels, and even their natural raw materials, had been consumed by the Elementals while they’d roamed the planet for most of the summer. “What’s the status of getting biodiesel shipped in, Carter?”

Carter flipped a page on his clipboard and then another. “Not any time soon, sir. They’re using the electricity that’s been restored to try and get a refinery up and running, but it’s slow going to get enough material together to start the process. If we run out of our diesel reserves before we finish… The only thing we’ll be able to do is dig with shovels, Mr. Hall.”

“That’ll slow us to a crawl and who knows when some dangerous beast might show up.” Hall looked over at a group of soldiers that were fully armed for just such an occurrence. They were stationed with every crew to protect the workers should something happen. “Can we request help from that Ministry of Magic? I’ve heard that the Wizards can make things move just by pointing their wands at them and casting a spell. We only need the auger to turn for it to dig.”

“I’ll put in a request straight away, sir.” Carter nodded as he quickly wrote down what the various crews would need in terms of Wizards and Witches to help complete the Ward Post project to protect Birmingham.

It was a key city, being historically industrial, and with the world as it was now, there was definitely going to be a new ‘Industrial Revolution’ of Mundane/Magical hybrid systems, materials, products, and goods that would need to be produced in large amounts. Once Birmingham was fully repowered by the installation of more Heat Core powerplants, everyone would be able to get to work and get the United Kingdom on the path to full recovery.

-Potter Manor ~ Harry’s Smithy-

Harry looked over his notes again, carefully constructing a large capsule of Adamantite for what he wanted to do for his next Artifacts. “It’s a good thing I’ve managed to get the proper alchemical array for Adamantite to work nowadays.” He still recalled his struggle with creating Adamantite years ago now, back when he’d been in Hogwarts. “But the vessel has to be immutable by magic for this to even have a chance at working.” With that he pulled the top of the capsule from his enchanted forge with his equally enchanted tongs. Setting it on the enchanted anvil he’d made back in Hogwarts, he picked up his Basilisk Carbon Steel and rune-engraved hammer and started to hammer the top into a more perfectly spherical dome shape.

His next Artifacts would be another labor of love for Tonks, Penny, and Fleur. He knew they’d be thrilled, not only with the Artifacts, but what they were and what the question that he’d ask each of them when he presented the new Artifacts. Harry smiled as he continued to hammer away, making meticulous changes to how the tongs held the Adamantite as well as the angle and force that he struck the powerful metal with. This was only the first step in his plan for not only his next Artifacts, but future ones as his artisan spirit looked for ever further heights to reach with his Artifice.

Still haven’t managed to make a Legendary Artifact just yet.’ Harry thought to himself with a small chuckle as he continued his work.

The majority of the day would pass with Harry working away at the Adamantite as he crafted it into the form he needed it to take.

-Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana, United States-

A group of friends had gathered today to test out something they’d worked on since ‘The Crisis’ had settled down. Among the group were about six men and five women. But what was slightly more important, at least for this little project of theirs, was that two of the men were Wizards, while one of the women was a Witch.

“You ready, Mark?” One of the guys asked as his buddy got into the driver’s seat of a pickup truck.

“We’ve got this figured out, Brad!” Mark laughed as he buckled his seatbelt. “And if we screwed it up…” He tapped the crash helmet on his head. “That’s what the helmet is for!”

“Don’t be stupid with it!” One of the women said as she came up to the pickup truck next to Brad. “Just ease into it at first so that we can see if it works right.”

Mark looked at the woman with a grin. “Why, Angie, if I didn’t know better I’d think you weren’t confident in your rune things!”

Angela, or Angie to her friends, made sure that Mark could see her roll her eyes at him. “Ha…ha…ha…” She fake laughed at the driver. “I’ll have you know, this is the first time that anyone has tested a hybrid Magical/Mundane drivetrain! If it accelerates and then keeps accelerating, you could end up hitting top speed in seconds with little to no control! So be careful!”

“We took precautions, Angie.” One of the Wizards said from the other side of the pickup truck. “Top speed was set at only twenty-five miles per hour, remember? Took us a few days to set that up and make sure the failsafe part of the runic sequence actually worked.”

“I also remember that test truck one ended up smashed into a tree when it failed the first time, Alex.” Angie said to the Wizard pointedly.

“Fair.” Alex shrugged with a lopsided smile. “But we’ve got it this time!”

Mark put the odd key, also marked with runes along its length, into what used to be the ignition and turned it over. There was no sound of an engine starting, only a green light on the dash turning on. “Well, it starts. Step one complete!” He laughed before waving the Angie, Brad, and Alex away. “Let’s put this test junker through its paces!” He pressed his foot on the accelerator and the pickup rolled forward, picking up speed as Mark turned the wheel to the right.

“So far, so good.” Eric, another of the mechanics that had been helping with this project smiled as Mark drove the pickup around the large parking lot they’d pseudo-commandeered for their driving test.

“If the control holds up…and we don’t have another mechanical failure like with truck two…this could be it.” Sandra, one of the female mechanics, said with a slight wince as she remembered test truck two’s axle snapping.

“We checked the axle twice already, so if anything fails, it won’t be that.” Mason, another mechanic, assured Sandra as he watched Mark drive the truck around.

The test truck came to a short stop as Mark slammed on the brakes. A moment later and it rolled forward again as Mark hit the accelerator. “Woo! Brakes still work!” He yelled out the window as he drove the truck a bit closer to his friends and then took another turn to go around the parking lot again.

“Well, everything sees to be working well.” Patrick, the other Wizard that worked on the project with his friends, smiled at the truck handling well, so far. “I still worry about the wear and tear on the runes though. Animation Charms are fairly simple, but making them work with accelerator and brake input, as well as the motion they’re producing…”

Alex agreed with a short nod. “I know, man. If the hybrid drivetrain wears out after only a few miles, then we’re gonna have to either make it out of something much stronger, or we’re going to have to find a way to keep it from getting worn down with magic.” That was the flaw with etching runic sequences into moving parts, especially with multiple inputs, the fact that if even one of the runes was damaged, the entire sequence could fail and the vehicle would roll to a stop.

“We need to figure this out somehow.” Brad said to the two Wizards. “With the way that gas and diesel is being rationed…there’s not going to be enough left to run cars soon enough.” Everyone knew that deposits of fossil fuels had been consumed by the Elementals and there wasn’t any known locations that still had oil or natural gas right now. That news hadn’t been able to be suppressed at all and had spread like wildfire as soon as power started to be restored through one method or another…usually from places that had hydroelectric power or wind or solar and hadn’t fallen prey to the Elementals.

“According to the Wireless, those new Heat Core things are being imported from Britain to get powerplants up and running again soon.” Angie remarked with a small hopeful smile. The news from the Wizarding Wireless had become invaluable to both Magical and Non-Magical alike as it was a form of transmission that hadn’t been destroyed by ‘The Crisis’ like so many others had been. “Once power starts getting restored at scale, everyone will be a lot better off.”

Jack, the oldest mechanic on their team, chuckled as he saw Mark put the truck into reverse and start doing a backwards loop around the parking lot. “If the power comes back and we have this new Magical/Mundane drivetrain up and running, we’ll be making a real difference to a lot of people.”

“And the money we could make from the patent.” Mason smirked at Jack, knowing the older man had been hopeful to retire in the next few years before everything had gone crazy.

“That too.” Jack shrugged with a short laugh.

Sandra smiled as the truck made a complete reverse lap around the parking lot before being put back into drive by Mark and taking off again. “Having the ability to get trucks and cars back on the road is going to be huge for America’s recovery.”

No one said anything to that, but their silence spoke volumes of why they were all so invested in this project that they were risking potential problems with magical creatures, wild animals, or even some of the violent groups that had taken to roaming around and raiding others for supplies. If they could succeed with this new drivetrain for vehicles, then transportation, shipping, and everything that made a country as large as America work would be available for the rebuilding that was necessary.

-Hamilton, Victoria, Australia-

Anna had felt them following her for a bit now. The simple-looking woman with her loose black sundress, semi-short blonde hair, and sandals on her feet wouldn’t have stood out to most. However, Anna could feel the group that had been following her. So, she’d done what any Witch of her caliber would do…she Apparated. This led to a chase across Victoria for the last hour or so, and frankly…she was sick of it.

“You’re starting to get on my nerves.” Anna said to seemingly no one as she stopped in the middle of a field a good distance away from Hamilton city.

A barrage of spells was launched at Anna from every direction from her hidden followers. All of them stopped dead against the powerful spherical shield that suddenly surrounded the woman.

“If you’re trying to kill me like the others that’ve been killed…you should be using spells that can’t be stopped by Shield Charms.” Anna said with a flat voice as she waved her hand and stripped away the Disillusionment Charms hiding her attackers.

“Fuck off, bitch!” One of the men nearly snarled at her.

“You’re one of the top brass of that bunch of fuckers!” A different man shouted at Anna.

“You’re gonna pay for all the people that died because of you!” A woman nearly spat at Anna; her wand aimed right for the blonde Witch’s head.

Anna counted the number of attackers and their positions around her in her head. ‘Twelve…no, fourteen.’ She felt the brush of two other presences as she expanded her awareness. The two still hidden were farther away, most likely meant to catch her off guard and kill her while the others engaged her directly. “You don’t care to listen, so I won’t bother trying to explain that the ‘Great Change’ was far more world-altering than we could’ve possibly predicted. Just come at me so that I can return to what I was doing.”

“Pestis Incendium!” All twelve of the attackers conjured Fiendfyre simultaneously and directed it straight at Anna with all of the intensity of their hatred and desire to kill the woman.

FWOOOOOSSSHHH

The cursed fire roared and crackled, forming dozens of beasts, creatures, and specters of flame. In the instant that no one could see Anna through the all of writhing and almost screaming flames, all twelve attackers instantly felt their control over the Fiendfyre wrested away from them.

“GRRAAAUUUHHH!!!” The Fiendfyre let out a roaring bellow as it twisted around and formed a humanoid shape. The demonic visage the cursed flames took towered over the twelve Witches and Wizards that had conjured the Fiendfyre originally. Unlike their control, the Fiendfyre didn’t continuously shift and change forms, but remained steady in the demonic humanoid form.

“Well, I suppose Fiendfyre isn’t blockable by a Shield Charm, so you listened that much.” Anna’s calm voice was heard clearly as she stood between the feet of the towering Fiendfyre demon, “Begone.”

It happened in an instant. One fraction of a second the twelve attackers were staring up at the giant of fire, the next all of them were impaled straight through the chest by wickedly long claws. They were dead before they realized what had happened, their bodies burnt to blackened husks that began to fall apart into ashes.

“Avada Kedavra!” Both of the hidden attackers cast at the same time from different angles, on from directly behind Anna, the other from her left side.

The controlled Fiendfyre giant through the charred husks into the path of the two spells. The sickly green light making the corpses exploded into ashes as it was blocked by a physical object.

Anna stared straight at the Wizard to her left.

BAM

Almost five-hundred meters away, against the side of a barn, the Wizard’s body was embedded into the metal siding. Blood splattered out in a circular spray from his impact point, just from the sheer force he’d hit the side of the building with. He’d died when the spell had struck him, crushing his bones and organs near instantly from the impact.

Back at the fight, if one would be so generous as to call it that, and Anna reached out and grabbed the last attacker with her Magic before he could Apparate away.

“Shit! You cunt!” The man cursed at Anna as his body felt like it was being squeezed by a giant hand. His arms were pinned to his sides, but he still tried to angle the tip of his wand at Anna.

Ssshhh

A whisper of wind and the Wizard’s wand split into tiny pieces, all of them cleanly cut with smooth edges. As the pieces fell to the ground, the man was dragged over to Anna.

“I don’t believe that you’ll tell me who ratted the rest of us out?” Anna asked with the same flat expression she’d had since this altercation had begun.

“Fuck you, murderer.” The man spat at Anna, but his saliva veered off course and landed on the ground.

Anna’s expression didn’t change much, even as she sighed. “If that’s how you choose to be.” A mere flex of her mana and her spell threw the man into the air. Before the man could think, the Fiendfyre giant snapped its jaws onto him and turned him into a charred husk and then into ashes falling to the ground. “Hah…” With a wave of her right hand, the Fiendfyre shrank down into a small ball and was then snuffed out completely.

With her attackers dealt with, Anna Apparated a great distance and reappeared in Kings Park and Botanic Garden in Perth on the other side of Australia. She wanted to relax after dealing with an attempt on her life, even if said attempt never had the slightest chance of succeeding.

We’ll eventually figure out who ratted us out, but I’m not an investigator. I’ll leave that to the others.’ Anna thought to herself as she walked through the shade of the trees and enjoyed the tranquility.

-Harry’s Smithy ~ Late September-

“Now, we just repeat the pressure sequence and then the stability sequence…” Harry mumbled to himself as he etched his Adamantite vessel with a long runic array both inside and outside. It was only possible with his enchanted tools, and it was still slow-going, but he was making progress.

A tiny pop was heard, alerting Harry that Tayla had arrived.

“Young Master Harry?” Tayla called out.

Harry stopped what he was doing and looked over at Tayla. “Hello, Tayla.” He smiled at the House Elf. “What brings you here today?”

“News for you, Young Master Harry!” Tayla beamed at Harry as she pulled a letter from her finely sewn pillowcase and handed it to Harry.

“Thank you.” Harry wondered what this was about as he saw that it was signed by both Sirius and Marlie. Opening the letter, Harry read the greeting from his Godfather and his ‘aunt’. “Oh…” Harry blinked as he read the second sentence again. “Marlie’s pregnant!” He stood up from his stool with a laugh and a bright smile on his face. “Brilliant!” Harry couldn’t be happier for Sirius and Marlie. If anyone deserved a happy ending, it was Sirius after all the horrid things he’d lived through in his life, so far. “Thank you for bringing this to me, Tayla.”

Tayla was just as happy as Harry as she bounced in place a bit. “You is being welcome, Young Master Harry!” She popped away a moment later as Harry jogged from his smithy to the backdoor of Potter Manor.

“Harry?” Fleur blinked in surprise when Harry threw open the French doors with a letter in his hand and a bright smile on his face.

“Fleur!” Harry beamed at her and pulled her into his arms before capturing her lips. “Great news!”

Fleur, now with a beautiful smile on her face, looked at Harry curiously. “What’s the good news?”

Harry handed the letter to Fleur and counted down in his head. ‘Three… Two… One…

“AAAHHH!!!” Fleur cheered as she threw her arms over Harry’s shoulders and pulled him into a warm hug. “Marlie is pregnant! Wonderful!”

“Isn’t it!” Harry laughed as he held Fleur tightly for a moment.

After a moment to gush, Fleur got herself under control, though there was no getting rid of the gorgeous smile on her face. “Tonks doesn’t get home for another hour or so today…but Penny should be home any moment. I can’t wait!” She clearly wanted to share the news with her ‘sisters’.

Harry kissed Fleur softly, the two briefly getting lost in their lip lock before they pulled back from each other. “Once Tonks is home, let’s all go visit Sirius and Marlie.”

“Of course.” Fleur agreed readily. She gave Harry a smoldering look as she pressed her body flush against his chest. “Are you going to be proposing to us any time soon? We could start working on our own family right after~” Fleur purred sexily as she looked deep into Harry’s green eyes.

“You’ll have to wait a bit longer, love.” Harry teased Fleur with a grin and a light peck of her lips.

The sound of the front doors opening got Harry and Fleur’s attention. In the moment between the sound and Penny announcing that she was home, Fleur had left Harry’s arms, letter still in her hand, and rushed to the foyer to greet Penny.

“Penny! Wonderful news!” Fleur declared as she showed Penny the letter.

Three… Two… One…’ Harry counted down again as he headed for the foyer at a normal walking speed.

“AAAHHH!!!” Penny’s cheer was nearly identical to Fleur’s and Harry laughed as he saw both young women bouncing up and down in excitement together when he entered the entryway of Potter Manor.

-Wood End Cottage ~ Later-

Tonks, Fleur, and Penny were sitting on the couch with Marlie, all four chatting about the older Witch’s pregnancy and all of the things that needed to be done for when the time came. At the cottage were other friends and family as well. Ted and Andromeda were sitting in the loveseat together chatting with Sirius, who sat in the nearby plush armchair. In the armchair next to Sirius’s was Remus who was looking happier than many had ever seen him as he congratulated Sirius on his soon-to-be fatherhood. Penny’s parents were coming over soon to celebrate with everyone, as were Marius and Appoline since Fleur had called them on the Communications Mirror a short time ago.

Harry laughed when Sirius was asked about potential names for the baby by Andromeda.

“I think James, if it’s a boy.” Sirius said with a fond smile on his face.

Remus put his hand on Sirius’s shoulder and the two men shared a meaningful look with each other.

“It’s a good name.” Harry said, giving his blessing for his father’s name to be used for what would be his surrogate nephew or cousin.

Sirius stood up and pulled Harry into a warm hug. Harry returned it, squeezing Sirius tight for a moment.

“You’re a good man, Harry.” Sirius said quietly.

“You’ll be a great dad, Sirius.” Harry said back before looking his godfather in the eye. “I know from experience.”

Sirius teared up and was nearly squeezing Harry too tight in the next instant.

It would be a long celebration that night and everyone was smiling at the bright future ahead.

-Harry’s Smithy ~ October 30th-

The Adamantite capsule had an intense heat emitting from it as it continued the process that it was performing. This was all within expectations though, and Harry watched it with critical eyes, just waiting for it to move to the next stage that he was certain it would. He’d designed it to go through multiple stages to produce the result that he wanted, after all.

“First mana injection with intent.” Harry muttered to himself as he continued to watch the capsule. It was the first phase and was basically a wandless spell, or a series of them in this case, trapped within the Adamantite capsule. Then it was subjected to the intense pressure of the multitude of stacked pressure runic sequences one after another. The ever increasing pressure caused by Magic wouldn’t affect the Adamantite at all, but it would effect the intent-filled mana within the capsule. “Next apply ever-increasing pressure.”

Harry had calculated everything to the best of his ability and redone the math dozens of times to be sure. But there was never any absolute certainty that any creation would work perfectly the first time. However, the stages of his capsule should take mana and compress it down, turning it from the ephemeral force that it was naturally and into something more…tangible.

“First stage, mana… Second stage, plasma… Third stage, super-heated gas… Fourth stage, gas… Fifth stage, boiling liquid… Sixth stage, stable liquid… Seventh stage, semi-solid… Eighth stage, brittle solid…” Harry mumbled out the stages that the capsule was set to go through as it continued to apply ever greater pressure and stability to the intent-filled mana he’d initially trapped within it. “And finally, the ninth stage…solid magic.”

Right now the capsule was still in the second stage, but Harry wasn’t going to leave it until he saw the entire process through. He had all day…he’d planned it out perfectly.

-Evening-

“Harry?” Tonks looked at Harry worriedly. “You look exhausted.”

Harry gave Tonks a smile, despite how tired he was. “I am. It was worth it though.”

Tonks cocked an eyebrow at that, her hair turning from pink to a bright purple. “Oh? Care to share what you’ve been working on in secret?”

“Not yet.” Harry said with a half-smirk on his face.

“Tell me…” Tonks leaned in close with a grin of her own.

Harry shook his head. “Nope.”

Tonks smirked and let her tits grow massive to the point they strained her t-shirt and created a large amount of cleavage for Harry to enjoy looking at. “How about now?”

“Can’t, it would ruin the surprise, Nym.” Harry said, his eyes locked onto Tonks’s massive rack. He could see her nipples nearly poking through the fabric!

“I do like surprises…” Tonks stood up straight, making her massive milkers bounce and jiggle before Harry’s eyes. “How long will I have to wait?”

Harry shook himself from his trance of staring at Tonks’s tits. “The same amount of time as Fleur and Penny. So…tomorrow?”

Tonks faked a thoughtful look, even placing her hand on her chin for good measure. “Hmm, fair enough.” She slowly, teasingly, lifted her stretched t-shirt up her tummy until it got caught up on her newly massive tits. With a naughty smirk on her face, Tonks pulled the shirt up and let her breasts fall out to bounce in front of Harry. “Let’s get you washed up, you smell.” She tossed her t-shirt into Harry’s face and rushed towards the stairs and the master bedroom with a bright laugh.

“Too tired…” Harry pulled the t-shirt off his face with a shake of his head. He felt the shapely form of Penny press up against his back a second later.

“Let us help you relax, Harry.” Penny kissed his neck as she and Fleur guided Harry upstairs, his arms trapped between their breasts as Penny took his right arm and Fleur took his left.

Harry looked between the two with a tired curiosity. “How long were you two watching?”

“Since the beginning, mon amour~” Fleur giggled breathily into his ear.

“You must be tired to not have noticed us at all.” Penny cooed softly, kissing Harry’s cheek as the trio headed upstairs together.

Harry wouldn’t complain about having his three gorgeous lovers bathing him tonight. Especially not when the bath was extra long as the three women made sure that all of his stress and soreness was soothed away by their softness.

Sleep came quickly for all four of them that night as they cuddled up in bed together.

-Potter and Erdunn Creations ~ Back Workshop ~ October 31st-

Penny, Fleur, and Tonks could barely contain their curiosity and excitement as they waited for Harry to show them the surprise that he’d promised them last night.

“Why does he want to show it to us here, I wonder?” Fleur looked around, seeing the Dwarves seemingly waiting around as well.

“Good question.” Tonks’s hair and eyes were cycling between colors as she could barely wait.

Penny hummed thoughtfully as she looked at the few different entrances to the workshop that Harry could potentially enter from. “He’s certainly building up our anticipation.”

“Sorry to keep you waiting.” Harry entered from the shop entrance with a smile. He walked over to greet his lovers with a sift kiss each before he surprised all three of them as he dropped to one knee. “Tonks, Penny, Fleur… You three have been with me for so long, through thick and thin, no matter what trouble faced us. I can’t imagine any point in my life that doesn’t have all three of you with me. From now until forever, my love for you will never fade…and to show you how much you each mean to me…” He reached into his pocket and produced three ring boxes of dark and finally polished wood. Opening them revealed brilliant rings of clearly magical metal, each set with a gorgeous stone that seemed to change color depending on what angel it was viewed from. “Will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?”

Tonks was in tears, her hand over her mouth as she nodded, her hair a bright red along with her eyes being amethyst purple as she held out her left hand. Her Metamorphmagus ability was shifting colors of her hair, eyes, and skin seemingly out of her control as her emotions nearly exploded from within her.

Penny wasn’t any better as she tried to smile at Harry even as tears feel down her cheeks. She couldn’t seem to get out words, though she tried. “I… I… H-Harry!” She held out her left hand a second later, slightly shaking as Penny seemed to barely be keeping it together.

Fleur’s crystal blue eyes were filled with unshed tears, making them nearly sparkle. She nodded over and over again as she held out her left hand to Harry. No words could escape her…at least nothing intelligible…but the way her silvery-blonde hair swayed about in an almost unseen breeze and the air around Fleur noticeably heated up, it was easy to see just how much this meant to the Veela as she barely contained her innate Magic.

Harry slipped the individual rings onto each of his fiancés one after another before kissing each of their hands as he looked up at them with his won emerald eyes misty with barely restrained tears. “I love you so much.” He stood up and with a smile that made Tonks, Fleur, and Penny all nearly swoon…pointed to their left.

That’s when the applause started and the three women realized that their crowd had grown considerably.

“Maman! Papa! Gabby!” Fleur’s tears poured from her eyes as she nearly caught her little sister in a hug while Marius and Appoline swiftly moved over to their eldest daughter to hug and kiss her, congratulating her on her engagement.

“Mum… Dad…” Penny was wrapped in a pair of warm hugs from her parents as they told her how happy they were for her. Edward squeezed his daughter tight saying how proud he was and how amazing Penny had grown up to be.

“My baby…” Penny’s mother, Diane Clearwater, was in tears along with her daughter as she hugged Penny close. “I’m so happy for you!”

Tonks was nearly swarmed by Andromeda and Ted, with Sirius and Marlie hanging back just slightly behind the elated parents. With a bright smile, she showed Andromeda her ring while hugging Ted with her other arm.

“My little girl.” Ted was clearly a bit choked up, though his joy practically radiated from him.

“I’m so happy for you, Nymphadora!” Andromeda hugged her daughter warmly.

It was a testament to how happy Tonks was that she didn’t even react to her mother calling her by her first name.

“Ya did good, Harry.” Drasurd lightly clapped Harry on the shoulder as everyone was cheering or congratulating the three fiancés.

“Aye, you all complete each other.” Drad said with a nod and a pat on Harry’s back.

Harry smiled at his sworn brothers of Erdunn. “Thank you very much, brothers.” His heart was full to bursting with his love for Fleur, Penny, and Tonks. “I haven’t even gotten around to telling them just what those rings can do.” He chuckled as he cleared his eyes.

The celebration became even livelier as everyone was moved to Potter Manor and a feast was laid out for all of the guests.

Halloween… A day that had once tormented Harry Potter as a reminder of his parent’s untimely passing, along with always seeming to bring him misfortune since his return to the Magical World, was now a day of happiness and joy as he took the next step in his life with Tonks, Penny, and Fleur.

That love and joy continued late into the night after everyone else had gone to bed in one of the ever-available bedrooms of Potter Manor. The four showing their love for each other in the most passionate and physical manner as they made love until the early hours of the morning.

AWWW!!! Harry proposed to Tonks, Penny, and Fleur!

All of the warm and fluffy! Feel the love they have for each other!

Did Harry do some crazy Artificer shenanigans for the engagement rings?

We all know he did.

I’m sure that the girls will be thrilled when they find out that Harry imbued his love for them into each of their rings. Using all of his skill to show his devotion through Artifice and creating Artifact Engagement Rings!

Meanwhile, time keeps moving forward and other places in the world start making headway toward rebuilding and reinventing as the Non-Magical and the Magical work to support each other even as the world has changed so much.

As for those responsible for the ‘Great Change’…well, several of them have gotten their punishment…death by the hands of those that lost loved ones.

Someone ratted the others out! Now it’s a back and forth between those that were in the shadows, and those that seek revenge and justice.

Unfortunately for some of the revenge seekers…the worldwide ‘cooperative’ has some VERY powerful members that aren’t just going to roll over and die.

Anna has around 600,000 mana…only a few people can really challenge her, as the group that went after her found out.

Now that Harry and the girls are engaged, what’s next for the soon-to-be Potter Family?

Keep reading to find out!

Current Mana Levels

I so want to know, if you decided on the Artifact Grade of Excalibur? I mean we know it is an Artifact, and could we get examples of High Grade and Legendary Artifacts? Going by mitology and or AC, the Artifact that could of sunk Atlantis was either Poseidon's Trident or an Apple, if you know what I am talking about, it could make sense. Also will Harry ever do a Legendady Artifact, and what power will Harry have at the end. in regards to the Cabal, it would be fitting for them to not be killed, because thatwould be to big of a mercy, instead, they should be rounded up, and fitted with cuffs that do what Harry's Mana Bane chain or Penelope's Anti-Magic Area does, make them live without what they spent their whole lives trying to bring back. Magic.

Thank you, happy you liked it! All of the warm and fluffy!

Kairomaru

Great chapter bro. Loved the proposal and Sirius bout to be a dad. It just caught me in the feels mate.

Kirito Beater

Glad you liked it! Yep, a new bundle of joy is on the way! Happy days for Sirius and Marlie! Indeed, the Artifact Rings have some rather nifty features on them as we'll see next chapter! Solid Magic has opened up a whole new world of Artifice for Harry...what will become of that, well...you'll see soon enough! Yeah, the Cabal planned for many things, but not Elementals...you know, since no one knew such things existed at all. But yeah, no one could plan for everything the 'Great Change' would do/cause...and many, many people were lost to the chaos. The vengeance and rage and hatred directed at the Cabal is understandable, even if many of said 'avengers' are being a bit hypocritical in their judgement.

Kairomaru

Flamel is the hermit type (well, a hermit with a wife) as we see in Canon. He disappears for years if not decades at a time to avoid people coming after his Philosopher's Stone. Yeah, the Cabal planned for many things, but not Elementals as no one had ever seen nor heard of such beings. Then the Elementals went on to consume, convert, and produce even MORE magic energy than anyone expected while they roamed the world and basically overflowed it with magic. Cracking the earth in two would've been even crazier than what I did! It takes a stupid amount of force/energy to split a planet, after all. lol

Kairomaru

The chapter is incredible. New life arrives and new happiness makes its way into Harry's life. The rings will be incredible, I mean they seem to be made of pure magic which will be an artifact that many will think will be glorious. The Cabal... I'm sorry that people died and I honestly feel that it's a little unfair to them. In the end, those who complain are people who want to recover magic but without the costs. There is always a price to pay, the only thing I can blame them for is perhaps not planning for the worst possible scenario.

savitar

The strongest can be brought down by the weakest if they're caught by surprise. There's a saying in fencing, "the world's best swordsman doesn't fear the second best. He fears the worst, because he can't predict what that idiot will do next." Anna could be hit by a killing curse in the back or have her throat cut in her sleep as easily as any other wizard. That would be a fitting end for her, IMHO.

James

Indeed, they are! lol

Kairomaru

I wonder if Flamel is one of those that knew about the Great Change. While I understand the want for Magic to be as free as it was before, they should have known the saying...No Plan Survives Contact With The Enemy. They only planed for the Great Change, they did not stick for th3 worst case scenario, and This was not it. At worst the world would have cracked in 2, destroying the planet and the vaulted magic they so wanted back. THAT is the worst, destroying the world in your ambition to reclaim lost glory

DarthEmerys

WHOOOOOOOO THEY'S GITTIN' *HITCHED!!*

The Masked Newfag

Thought the elementals wiped out a few

El Pirato

Glad you enjoyed it! The rings are pretty powerful too! This story is about to wrap up soon, so yeah, wedding soon. lol

Kairomaru

Yeeeeees finally it has happed, I am really exited by what these rings can do. We will see, hopefully the wedding is soon 🙏

Kindos

They're still hiding in their various holes because of Ragnok's fuck up making them practically public enemy number 1.

Kairomaru

Just as Harry has little to no interest in the Cabal, neither does the Cabal have much interest in him now that the 'Great Change' has already happened. As for the Cabak members, Anna cares to know who ratted them out, but hasn't had any direct friends of hers die to the killings yet. So, to her it's still not a big deal and she's powerful enough to not need to hide, as seen in this chapter.

Kairomaru

So, what happened to all of the Goblin hordes during the Great Change?

El Pirato

There are a whole lot of people here. I'm sure Anna will want to know about Harry's accomplishments and meet the man in question. Will any of the Great Cabal seek sanctuary in ICW nations in exchange for their information?

El Pirato

You're welcome! Hope you enjoyed it!

Kairomaru

Thanks for the chapter

Jordan Gray
