Update - Hurt my back
Added 2025-01-21 21:16:17 +0000 UTCJust a quick update, friends and fans, that my back has been in pain the last two days, so writing might be a bit delayed this month.
I'll continue to write, of course, but the pace will be slower as we work on the last few updates of the month.
Turns out my computer chair has been broken for a bit now (visibly leaning to the right) and I've just been ignoring it by naturally trying to counterbalance against it.
Shouldn't have done that.
My back let me know yesterday that I've been sitting wrong for a while with sharp pain that won't go away.
As of now, I'm taking pain meds, using my heating pad, and preparing a hot bath to try and soothe my back muscles in hopes of getting back to writing at full speed.
Last time it took almost 3 or 4 days, but I'm hoping that this time it'll only be a day or two at most.

2025-01-22 07:06:15 +0000 UTCI'm hoping that's not going to be necessary. But if the soreness and pain doesn't go away in the next day or two, then I'll seek medical attention.

2025-01-22 04:36:46 +0000 UTCHope you are better by tomorrow! When you get a new chair, make sure itโs built to last. Iโve had my chair since I was a kid, weighs almost 50 pounds but man is it tough.

2025-01-22 02:04:41 +0000 UTCI'm hoping for a quick recovery too! Yeah, a hot bath is good for relaxing sore muscles. I'm hoping that a combination of hot bath, heating pad, some pain meds, and good sleep will have me back to normal soon.
Kairomaru
2025-01-22 01:43:26 +0000 UTCDefinitely time for a new chair. Maybe a gaming chair this time, since they're meant to be sat in for long periods of time?
Kairomaru
2025-01-22 01:42:25 +0000 UTCI hope for a soon recovery! I have deal with back pains since several years, so, aside from the meds, yeah, the hot baths are going to be your best friends! I don't know if this would help, but when I sleep, I usually sleep to one side, with a pillow in between my legs, hugging another pillow and finally a pillow for my head, this and, everytime I sit I make sure my knees are above waist level. All of this has help me get over much of my back pain, hope this helps to one of my favorite writers!

2025-01-21 23:31:05 +0000 UTCThank you for understanding. I actually bought me a 'mini/portable' treadmill recently so that I can walk a mile or two a few times a week to keep myself mobile from now on.

2025-01-21 23:26:05 +0000 UTCIt feels like muscle pain more than anything.

2025-01-21 23:24:31 +0000 UTCUnderstandable man, definitely take a break and get well soon. Maybe invest in an electric desk that you can change to standing as well so that you don't spend long periods of time just sitting. It's usually recommended to stand and walk around every hour or so when you're sitting and working for long periods of time.

2025-01-21 23:23:42 +0000 UTCYou probably have a rib or a spine out of place nothing really major. probably just hurts like a bitch I know this from experience

2025-01-21 23:20:48 +0000 UTCI hope it isn't that bad. If I have to start going to a place for chronic pain, then it's going to be hard to keep up with writing.

2025-01-21 23:17:02 +0000 UTCI hope you get well soon and may I recommend going to a cyropractor. the joint is the one I use its great i go once a week since i work for tyson though once you start it will be hard to stop because poping your back yourself doesn't work that well afterwards. They can do all your joints from your neck to your ankles.

2025-01-21 23:14:39 +0000 UTCI hope it doesn't get that far for me. Hopefully just a couple days to recover will be all I need.

2025-01-21 23:09:45 +0000 UTCThank as long as you need. I suggest acupuncture or massage or Ostopathy. I tweaked my before and it dropped me to the floor unable to move. I was doubling up on advil and Tylenol and then robax. Took me a month to be able to move like normal again. Inhale a series of stretches I have to do not. And sometime lying on the floor with your legs up and resting on a couch seat and scooting in as clos le to the couch as you can helps relieve the pain.

2025-01-21 23:08:17 +0000 UTCI hope this'll be the last pain or sickness for a long time. Gonna do my best to get the other three Tier Rewards out before the end of the month at the very least.

2025-01-21 22:40:32 +0000 UTCyou seem to have piss poor luck as you're getting hurt or sick quite a bit lol. Then again I'm not much better my back is always in pain and to make it worse my job requires me to be on my feet walking around 10 hours a night 4 nights a week so by the end of the first night my feet and back are screaming at me lol

2025-01-21 22:30:13 +0000 UTCheating pads, tai chi(low impact yoga), or some cbd gummies should help. One thing with the heating pads though. Be careful not to burn your back. my mom has had chronic back pain for years and thought nothing of the purpling color on her back from using heating pads without breaks. It could be really bad. My mom ended up with her lower back being almost completely covered by 1st degree burns.

2025-01-21 22:08:54 +0000 UTCYour health is most important, and I'm quite familiar with back pain and trying to sit and work in a chair too. Hope you feel better soon!
Ommadawn
2025-01-21 22:07:11 +0000 UTCYeah, bad chairs are what end up hurting me more than anything. Obviously, I have to sit for hours and hours to write, so a chair that doesn't support the lower back or a broken chair are inevitably going to have plenty of time to hurt me.
Kairomaru
2025-01-21 21:48:55 +0000 UTCI spent a bunch of money Ona new desk chair around Christmas for this exact reason. Hope you feel better soon! (^ใผ^)

2025-01-21 21:44:16 +0000 UTCYeah, I really shouldn't have ignored the broken chair. I'll have to get used to sitting right again, my body apparently now learned a tendency to lean a bit to the left. Gonna need to fix that too.

2025-01-21 21:33:11 +0000 UTCOOF! So, we're both getting the back pain hell it seems. Hope you recover soon, my friend.
