Dental Surgery is Painful
Added 2024-09-25 14:45:05 +0000 UTCHey friends and fans, just want my Patrons to know that there might be an update missing this month because of two days' worth of Dental work.
First a day of prep work that put me out for two days due to the time spent at the Dentist office and then the following pain that was so bad it was all that I could focus on for the next 36 hours.
Now, today, the second visit finished the work and I'm still numb and expecting even more pain to follow.
I'll be trying to get out every update as I always do but it may not work out and for that I apologize in advance. It's difficult to write anything when it feels like someone is taking a power drill to your jawbone for a full day though.
Hopefully this is not going to hold me up as I expect it to, but if it does, I wanted all of you, my awesome Patrons, to know what was going on.

2024-09-28 02:38:21 +0000 UTClooking back on it I'm glad that I took 2 days off when I had my dental work done. I MIGHT have been able to work the day after but that extra day really gave me time to recover as while there wasn't much pain there was quite a bit of blood lol

2024-09-26 08:38:53 +0000 UTCI know how you feel. Got my Wisdom Teeth out a long time ago, and it was not pretty to say the least. Through coming out of Anesthetic was a bit loopy for me. According to my memory, I was more confused than a chicken who lost it head.

2024-09-25 15:54:35 +0000 UTCYeah writing under any kind of tooth/gum pain is very difficult to deal with since it’s hard to focus( at least for me) but get well soon and don’t worry about rushing back to update since I’m pretty positive no one is gonna blame you for taking time to recover

2024-09-25 15:36:49 +0000 UTCI know your pain man when I had my four wisdom teeth removed I couldn't do anything for I don't remember how long but I needed help getting around the first day and even then I couldn't do anything after that I was that out of it

2024-09-25 15:31:43 +0000 UTCsorry to hear that. considering i just got an easy and painless wisdom tooth removal, im assuming the pain is either from root canal(which hurts like a bitch) or even worse, infected tooth removal(which hurts enough to make you cry like a bitch). wish you the best on whichever it is and a swift recovery

2024-09-25 14:52:33 +0000 UTCAnyway, take care of yourself. Dental pain is agony, so many nerves in the mouth. Don't feel any pressure to try to work through it. From experience, keeping a cold press on your face helps, it keeps it a bit numb and reduces swelling. I just used a wash cloth I ran under the cold tap. Apart from that, take whatever painkiller/anti-inflammatory drugs you can, and try to keep yourself distracted, keep your mind off it.

My last dentist used one dose of anaesthetic (I've needed as many as 4 previously), then when during a filling I said it hurt, he sneered "it's just pressure" and carried on. I was white knuckling the chair and literally crying from the pain, but when a 6'4" hulk of a man had his hands in my mouth I didn't have any options but to bear it. I filed a complaint, then didn't go back to the dentist again until he left 4 years later.
