Yukiverse Tease (first reveals tomorrow, full load soon)

'Sup?

Soooo... lots of you already know, but for anybody who's new: the short break in audio is in part for developing the Yukiverse wiki (now a WorldAnvil page, hooray for Fandom/Wikia's strict NSFW policies). At best it'll be a foundation for some sexy roleplaying for the many members of our Discord who've made OC's in the Yuki Expanded Universe already. My way of allowing patrons and general pervs to "yes, and" this universe on a separate track than the stories I've got in the works already.

At worst: it'll be a place to keep all my weird ideas and sexy concepts together with some dumb jokes in the mix. A win-win either way.

I don't write down my worldbuilding ideas, I keep it all in here <points to where here is>.

In the coming days as I wind down from making the meat of this thing (the basic nuts and bolts of what makes this universe distinct, stuff we know, stuff we won't) I'll be turning my attention totally back to serialized Yuki adventures in audio and ink. During that time, I'll be sharing complete Yukiverse pages with the Pirate tier before making them available to everybody!

So... in terms of worldbuilding, it's a tough balance, because on the one hand: I'm totally content with Yuki being a free for all universe mysterious yet familiar. Like Star Wars was before its mysterious and limitless potential was harvested (and then harvested again, and again in perpetuity). But, I also don't want to define it as much as Mass Effect with a set number of species and worlds and definite worldbuilding boundaries.

That said, boundaries have got to be made, and the real challenge was figuring them out within the confines of our existing installments. I had an idea of what those were just by virtue of having played hundreds of sci-fi RP's, now it's a matter of vocalizing them and jotting them down with a little sexy and darkly comedic flair. The core theme of it being a fish-eat-fish galaxy, things are unfair, technology is incredible but rampant, and it's full of great and terrible things that want to kill and/or f*** the s*** out of you.

Anyways, I will probably have enough of it complete to straight up make public before figuring out how to make it accessible to early Patrons so... stay tuned.
