Update 07/15

Ok, editing Episode 4 Part 2, I'll make this a fast one.

Non-audio things:

- RP categories (going to make a list of rules and Yukiverse wiki first, speaking of:)

- Yukiverse wiki (sort of done, at this point just making a lot of work for myself so I'll finish what I've got and pump the breaks a tad).

- Website (nearly done).

Audio things:

Writing things:

Art / Animation:

As for the next Yuki episode, POV, or Bone-Us? We'll have something soon, but to give an idea of where we were compared to where we are now. When we first started Yuki, it was sort of anything goes in terms of writing. Roleplay ideas turned into refined scripts, turned to audio. No rhyme or reason, no great plan. It was sort of me writing whatever I felt like doing with the character at the time.

But now, for really the first time since we started this show, me and Kitten have talked extensively about the direction of the show lately and what we both want out of it. I've begun about five or six Yuki scripts, and now we're sort of at the tail end of jiving out the long-term plan.

The most important thing we need to do with this next three or so episodes after Episode 4 is solidify the tone of this show, what this will be from now on. Episodes 5, 6, and 7 will have to touch the corners on themes and tone we haven't done before. I know that sounds vague but you'll see what I mean. There's been fun, there's been sleaze, there's been romantic themes, mischievous themes, but there's new ground we have to cover soon before it's too late and everyone's got the picture in their head of what this show is and what it can be.

That isn't to say these next three episodes won't be anything like the four before it, just that I want to hurry up and get some of those ideas and tones in the show's DNA so that these ideas won't come out of nowhere when we do them more often later.

Don't blame you there, its important to keep yourself tied to a set of rules with anything you do. I think the biggest challenge any creator can face is putting some ideas on the back burner until they finish their current plate. I enjoy coming up with stories based on current cravings but its easy to get so enthralled and lose that creative juice for everything else.

Exactly. That isn't to say I want to stop doing anything we're doing now, not even a little. But I want there to be no hierarchy, no one project taking on more importance than the other or chasing a different appeal than what I've started, and to do that I need to apply the same logic and approach to everything I do so it can all keep up. I can't remember who said it, I want to say it was John Rubio of the Beerists and LEOG who said it, that if you don't apply the same critical eye to everything you do: creatively, intellectually, politically, critically, anything, if you can make excuses for one thing but not the same excuse for another, then you're intellectually dishonest with yourself. I choose to be honest with myself.

That's a honestly a good sign of progress as a content creator. Realizing you have growth and need to step up the game for quality is important or you risk stagnation. As someone who RP'd as well I get what its like to create characters and get more of a feel of them as you write for them. Which includes doing alternate versions and exploring how they changed based on new variables. I'm glad you decided to raise the standards for Yuki because truthfully while I am excited for Desert Rose, its Yuki that I can't wait to see more of. Tickles that Slave Leia fantasy just right with fun other adventures in between.

And that was pretty much the heart of the discussion, less the story and more Yuki herself, how we want her to be used going forward whether in standalone audios or episodic stuff. Because after I wrote Desert Rose and shared it we both kind of had a moment of, "Ok... either we focus on this now... or we need to raise our standards with Yuki scripts before recording." Obviously we're doing the latter, but we had to stop and seriously consider that. Now that we know what kind of stories we can tell with this medium.

Truthfully I enjoy hearing you and Kitten talk about what direction you want to take the story in. I just love hearing how invested people can get in a character and I think Yuki is probably gonna be one of Kitten's most popular roles. (Personal bias of course for being a fan of Yuki, but hey can't help what I am lol)
