What's a vivid nostalgic memory from your childhood?
Added 2025-03-19 20:25:03 +0000 UTCWe all have childhood memories. Some are good, some are bad, but more often than not, there's one vivid nostalgic memory that we often look back on.
For me, my little brothers and I used to have this habit of sitting out on the front porch of our home during a downpour. We would sit on either the rocking chair or the stone porch itself and watch the rainfall, sometimes marvel at a distant lightning strike, and a couple of times, dare each other to run out into the rain for a split second before rushing back under the porch roof before we got too wet. There's something about watching an intense rainstorm from a front or back porch that is calming and relaxing. I never appreciated moments like that until much, much later in my life. It's a habit I ought to restart sometime, even if my apartment building's porch isn't exactly the most...comfortable to sit under during a rainstorm, haha.
