Do you watch Hallmark Christmas movies?
Added 2024-12-13 18:40:28 +0000 UTCIt's the holidays, which means people out there are watching Christmas movies made by Hallmark. Some love them, some hate them, and some tolerate them.
Me? I'm not a huge fan of Hallmark movies, especially Hallmark Christmas movies. Much of it has to do with how boring and predictable they are, with some tropes that bleed together and make each film look no different than the last. I wouldn't mind it so much if the characters were all distinct and each setting not a small town that's blandly quirky, hyper-heteronormative, and incredibly saccharine. I should honestly write a furry parody next year, I've got so much to say.
But yeah, I cannot get into them. Unfortunately for me, my mother's a big fan of them, and always has the family watch at least one each Christmas season. The only Hallmark Christmas movie that I really enjoyed had to be "Holiday in Handcuffs" (yes, that's the actual title, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND watching it b/c it's batshit insane! XP). Otherwise, they're not for me.
