WGC: "Summer Heat"

At just over a thousand words, we would write a short story fitting a chosen theme. The new theme for this week is, "I should never have gotten out of bed today."
I figured this was the best way to end June, with a character named June, haha. If you're curious, I made the thumbnail by combining the hot face emoji with a fox emoji.
