Checking In
Added 2024-03-29 13:58:19 +0000 UTCA few people have reached out with concerns about my health and I just wanted to let everyone know, I'm fine. I'm not sick or anything, the update is progressing nicely and should be done later today/earlier tomorrow at the latest. The delay is mostly just due to unforeseen circumstances and poor time management skills on my end.
The good news is that I think this update will be worth the delay, especially for those of you who hated the previous UI.

Thank you for sharing this. Maybe I'm one of the people in question, since I always point out that consistent updates are really appreciated, but on the other hand a dedicated break is really needed. I work as a developer myself and know that especially if you are _in the zone_ it's easy to work too much. I support quite a few creators on platforms such as Patreon, because I feel it is a great way to remove some of the dependencies and struggles out of a lot of projects. Because of that it always pains me to see updates with messages like "sorry, I was sick, the update will be a a few days late" There is no reason to feel sorry, I really appreciate the transparency and acknowledge the importance of recreation time. I know that this was not your message here, but I want to stress the point for other patrons as well, that mental health cannot be quantitized. I firmly believe most people don't support creatives on platforms like this to get something out of it on specific dates, but they see value in a project and want it to flourish, independently and without too much stress for everyone involved. If one was here to "only" get access to a game, why not buy it, when it's done? Because it's not only about the game, but about getting a larger game, a more beautiful game, a longer or well-written game, to add to the experience and to give the creators more possibilities to to what they please (within reason).
