Update Build alpha v.0.1.19

Hello hello everyone,

and welcome back to Targa Florio!

I hope you guys are all in good health. Remember to drink water enough and do routine workout! :D

Me and Beni spent a lot of time processing the photogrammetry last month. We're still facing some difficulties to get the most out of the photogrammetry software. But we are making good progress;

While some sections turns out great, others were... not so great to say the least lol. These problematic sections need different approach when processing and sometimes it took multiple tries and errors to get it right.

Me and Beni already out of nails to bite and hairs to pull at this point lol. But we're still as determined as ever! so please bear with us for now :D

As for the update, here is the alpha build v.0.1.19

Beni has been working on reworking the asphalt textures and I think it looks great! And He's also working on asphalt variants, patches, and cracks separately as well.

He's also added more hanging lights, electrical poles, and new signs.

on the other side, I'm working on UVs around campofelice. It might not be noticeable at high speed, but if you drive slowly, you might notice some windows and doors are still orientated the wrong way XD. Going to push to finish this asap and work on collesano this month

Another thing that was added on this update is a new experimental layout, that has bigger spread for starting grid.

You know that originally Targa Florio has a staggered start with 30 seconds gap between each cars. But since AC don't have that mode yet, the spread out grid was the temporary solution.

Unfortunately spreading the grid with 30 seconds gap won't make sense. 30 seconds gap is roughly around 1km apart. So the 30th on the grid would have to start all the way back halfway behind the lap, even before Collesano lol.

So for this one, we went for a gap of 150m apart, or around 5 seconds between cars. Please let me know what you think.

The best and the most probable solution is to write a LUA script for a true staggered start. So learning to write a LUA script will be next in our To-Do list :D

We might need to consult Ilja for this, but we're optimistic that it is doable.

as always, Thank you so much for your support. We will keep working with best result in mind so that the track will meet your expectation.

Have a great weekend, and enjoy the Brazilian GP! :)

stay safe, stay healthy, and I will see you guys again soon!

Amazing work guys!!! Took a Maserati 450s for a scenic drive that took me 55 min for 1 lap in VR. At some points in the track I felt I was in a hollodeck...lol

This looks and feels exceptional with every new update.

I made a "traffic light" with a sequence of 30 seconds also work syncronized online. But don't work with AI. It's made with help of Ilja in LUA script. If you want I can help you. Contact me ;-)

Just did a lap around the new version and this update is just beautiful! With every update I get more excited for what's to come.

great looking mate. it would be even better with new 3d trees hopefully?
