a Collaboration?
Added 2018-11-13 05:57:16 +0000 UTCHey guys,
so, I've been thinking a lot lately. about how to attract more atention to this project. not for my own sake, and not just for the track. but for you guys as well as patrons.
you see, I really feel that it's not fair for you guys who gave your support, while I'm still limited to little time that I have to work on targa florio.
I thought, maybe one track is too little? well, you can't have less than one, so it's obviously a small number, duh! XD
and perhaps targa florio track is too exclusive? I mean, not all people love ultra long tracks that takes more than 30 minutes for a single lap.
so, a friend of mine gave an idea.
Some of you might know acorsaunderground. He made quite a lot of mods a few years ago. and the truth is he was helping me out with the targa florio convertion project few years ago. still helping me with the new track, although not as much as the old one.
he also have a job and working full time, so he doesn't have that much time to make track mods as well.
Then he suggest, how about posting his mods for free?
acu will give me his mods whenever he got a new one and I will post it on public post. Anyone can get the track. why free? well, we don't want to put a paywall for a track mod. but to those who want to support acu's track mods, they can do that by supporting targa florio.
Basically, nothing changed with the targa florio project itself. I will keep working on targa florio like usual. the same with weekly report and test builds. Patrons still supporting targa florio project, and acu is already helping out with the project anyway.
Now I need your opinion on this. Do you have any objections about this idea? or do yo have problem with acu's mod itself? XD please let me know what you think. it's not set in stone yet, so feel free to say it if you think that this is simply a bad idea lol
and one other alternative is, is to release the pre-alpha version for rFactor2.
at first I want to hold the rF2 version at least until we are far further for the AC version.
Does everybody here also have rFactor2? or is it just AC?
technically, working on 2 formats is not going to slow down the process by much. it's the same model anyway.
or we can do both alternatives XD. what do you think?
Cheers!

I’m using only AC and have so much fun with it, that there is no need for me to use RF2.

2018-11-14 19:28:40 +0000 UTCyeah, and the man himself is aware of that lol. I'll put that idea aside then. And I will start to take a look at porting targa florio to rF2

2018-11-14 03:48:25 +0000 UTCI too agree with Tibor Solyom some of his tracks have been removed by Racedepartment for that reason
2018-11-14 02:59:13 +0000 UTCFor me It's OK, but you have to consider, many people think ACU tracks are just bad rips (but they're using them for sure :) ), and I have the fear if you would "sell" his tracks, your project would get much worse judgment in the community.
2018-11-13 17:04:28 +0000 UTCI am using all simulations and be happy over every track for every Sim.
