Lord Casson seems dead set on introducing Iris into high society, seemingly having something to gain from rumors spreading of him having a paramour. Iris, takes on the task in exchange for a rare tome, but finds the so-called human "nobles" to be a bit underwhelming...
Things don't end up going Casson's way, though, as a familiar face shows up to antagonize him, putting his guests in danger and undermining his plans. Who has is out for Casson? And can Iris keep the guests safe and protect his reputation even as things spiral out of control?
