New summer outfits! (Preview)
Added 2025-05-17 15:00:09 +0000 UTCI'm doing a summer event for Hex. Like with the Halloween event, one outfit will be tied to the event, while the other will be purchased from the seamstress (with a discount at certain times of the year).
You'll get the new outfit really early in the event's story this time around, but there will be other rewards that I hope will make the summer event worth doing. I'll explain more about what kind of features and content will be in the event later, but the main focus will be on a silly combat-based version of beach volleyball, where the losers have to strip off articles of clothing after every round! The first to be naked loses!
I think seasonal events are really fun, but I also don't want to overly focus on them since events don't progress the main story or gameplay systems. I'm committed to adding or updating one of these events per year, but no more than that. Last year was the harvest festival event, this year is the summer event. Next year I plan to maybe do something for Valentine's Day. That doesn't mean we won't get additional seasonal outfits this year, though. Like we'll probably do some outfits or something for the holidays.
I'm also working on the first patron-only "minor" update. This one will probably focus on story content. Only patrons will get minor updates, but all the content in the minor updates will be released to free edition players with the following next major update.
