Hex might need a subtitle or something

I personally love the simplicity and shortness of the title "Hex," but it will probably cause issues. For one, three letters is really too short to have good SEO, meaning the game will be hard to find without modifying the search. Just googling "Hex" or even "Hex game" probably won't work. I think this could be solved by one of two things: an adjective preceding the word Hex, or a subtitle.

The following are examples of what I mean, I don't like either:

A third option could be to modify the word "Hex" itself. This is less good imo than the other two options, but there might be some way to make this work well. Again as an example that I'm not super fond of:

Anyway, the point is, the game probably needs a slightly different title. I'd like to keep the name Hex as some part of it, and as a sort of nickname for the game, but other than that I'm not exactly sure how I want to change it.

So I'm opening this up to all of you! Please help me! If you have an idea for a way to improve the game's title without totally changing it, please comment here or reach out to me in a message or on discord!

You’re not wrong, it works on a few levels but portraying “adult game” isn’t one unfortunately. Time to make a mod where Iris is a beat reporter uncovering the story of a sex cult, lol.

Go full-on Japanese title length, lol. “Hex: I died from using too much magic and now there’s a succubus inside of me?!?!”

Hey if Final Fantasy can get away with it why not you? Lol

Twin Souls Saga? But that would imply multiple entries...

This is clever in a way that the more I think about it the more I like it. I'm not sure if it fits that well though. I feel like if they were also reporters this would be the ideal title, though, lol.

I was throwing some ideas like "Twin Souls," "Two Souls," "Two Wills" around but I feel like it all just fell flat to my ears. "A Tale of Two Souls" does sound better and kinda like a literary reference which is cool but it might be a little too long. Thanks, though, this does get my brain thinking!

The main issue I had with "Hex: A Succubus Story" was that I'd have to constantly explain it isn't a sequel or prequel to Succubus Stories. But the benefit is I already have some investment in the "Succubus Story (-ies)" "brand," so that could help strengthen both games in terms of SEO. Also the acronym is "Hex: ASS" which is a plus in my book. :)

...oh

You're not gonna believe this, but "Sex Hex" is actually already taken, so any combination of "Hex" and "Sex" might be too similar, lol.

Well. I have been holding out for the yuri mode so I can't suggest a title without that context. HOWEVER I can make some tips that might help in figuring one out? Usually a subtitle is used when you plan on making a franchise or series under the title like Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Amnesia is the franchise, The Dark Descent is the game though sometimes it's reversed like Solo: A Star Wars Story. The purpose is to both have a name for the story itself while making it easily associated with and searchable with the original. So if that's what you want then, I know you don't like it, but that might be the suggested title. If not then my suggestion would be to take whatever the central narrative concept or hook of the story is and incorporate that into the title along with it. Make the title itself a hook to the game. Or just slap a name in front of it. The protagonist, duotagonist, antagonist, etc. Personally I'd go for the first option as it's usually a guarantee that people will refer to it just as Hex. Then again you can just leave the title as is and hope people can find it still.
