Version 0.14.0 - Date Night

Version 0.14.0 of Succubus Stories--Date Night-- will be coming to the patron edition of the game on February 28, 2023!

I didn't initially plan to release this update on the last possible day I promised, but hear me out please! So here's what happened: basically, I added more story than I said I would. Instead of only one or two branches, I am adding the first half (or so) of chapter 5 to all of the branches. I simplified some things a little bit to make this possible, some branches that weren't really that different I merged a little earlier than I intended to and stuff, but I still think the different paths feel very different still, and I like the way it's working out at this point.

Because stuff was just going so well on the main story side and I just kept adding more to it, I am a little behind with some other stuff now. Priscilla only has three dates right now, I wanted to do six. Charlotte's romance needs a lot of work and I don't like the actual request I wrote so I want to rewrite parts of it, and I still haven't finished Rais's damn move-in yet. This stuff instead of the story branches will be saved for the future patches.

So my plan is to just keep working until the 25th or 26th, then to just dedicate the rest of the time to testing and tying up loose ends, then release the update on the 28th. That's technically in the "before the end of the month" timeframe I've been giving, but yeah, I don't feel good about it being on the last possible day, so I apologize about that.

The updated plan for the patches in v0.14 is something like:

• Version 0.14.1 in mid March to smooth out Charlotte's romance and add more Priscilla dates, and add Rais's move-in if I don't get to it. This is the latest for Rais's move-in, I promise; if I have to cut every other feature planned for this patch I will if I have to!
• Version 0.14.2 in late March with Charlotte's move-in and the first set of Rais's dates. This version will probably also bring v0.14 to the free edition.

So yeah, not ideal, but not terrible. In a weird way of thinking about it, since all the story branches are going to be done, this actually puts me a little ahead of schedule overall, assuming things go decent through the patches.

Either way I expect the main story to be completed in v0.15, so we're pretty close to the end! I'll have more to say about that after we get v0.14 and its patches out, though.
