No the game isn't turning into a grindy JRPG bore-fest.

Think of this more like the maid academy: it's a fun little dash of unique gameplay that's mostly tied to a part of the story. Priscilla does the heavy lifting, the player will more or less chuck potions the entire time (though you can also do other, more on-brand things ;P). If players like this gameplay system, we can expand it and add things like dungeon crawls or requests based around it. I'm a little leery of combat in my lewd games, though, so I don't want to overdo it.

You basically play the healer in the little raid party of two you and Priscilla have set up. You can attack but you won't do much damage. The main thrust of combat is to keep Priscilla's lust from getting too high while trying to keep her HP and MP topped up with potions. You can give her heat liquors and the like to boost her MP and preserved sperm and succubus snacks to restore her HP. Both of these also increase her lust, especially the MP restoratives. You can then use calming balms to try to manage her lust.

If Priscilla runs out of HP, the two of you will be forced to retreat temporarily. If she runs out of MP she will be extremely vulnerable and unable to deal damage until she recovers some. She has an MP "charge" ability but it is not ideal; it might help you squeak by if an encounter is like 98% of the way there, but running out of MP is gonna be bad. If her lust gets too high, her critical hit rate, attack power, and eventually her defenses will all suffer.

You can also "flirt" with Priscilla to boost her MP a bit and her lust by a lot, so even if you run out of potions, you can still keep her fighting for a while, at the cost of her efficiency tanking due to the flirt option having way higher lust per MP point compared to other options. You don't have any way to heal her without potions, though.

You aren't limited to just chucking potions at Priscilla; you can also sling potions at the bad guys, or try to seduce them. The enemies also have (hidden) lust gauges that effect them the same way Priscilla's effects her. I may make a visual cue for enemy lust, but I will probably not add a gauge for it. You also have a few other potion options at your disposal should the mood strike you, and I may try to incorporate more.

Regardless of the path you selected, you will encounter a little bit of combat in v0.12, but if that's not your thing, don't sweat it too much. I intend to make the combat relatively easy if you are fairly well prepared, and I don't intend to replace climactic story moments--even potentially violent ones--with turn-based JRPG affairs.
