Took a little bit of a break over the summer but we have happily kept to our page/month schedule so far for both webcomics, so that's a plus.

We will be uploading a few new pages shortly, including a WIP for the latest page of "The Depths" and a colored final page (without dialogue) for "Insignificant Otters".

We're going to be moving towards the conclusion of the current "The Depths" story arc very soon, and we're still not sure if we want to continue with the third story arc or not. The idea of doing a page a month just isn't really going to go very well with us at all. At our ages, the math just doesn't favor us continuing in that fashion.

We were very excited about the new story arc, of course, but the idea of it taking 4-5 years to complete (or more) just sounds - well, frightening. We're not spring chickens. *^^*

Our novel, "Shadows in Light", on the other hand, has generated some talk with Paramount Pictures, and we are working on a mini-series structure we can introduce to Netflix later this year. So, perhaps if we really start getting some fame/fortune for our novel, maybe we can afford to pay for the webcomics ourselves, or help generate enough support to keep things going strong. For that, we would require approximately $800 a month, to keep a four-page month schedule for "The Depths" and two pages a month for "Insignificant Otters".

We wish we could be more positive but it's really gotten a bit rough for us this summer and autumn. Obviously, we want to keep going strong. The main focus right now is to get "The Depths" story arc done and see what happens next.

That's the great thing about life too. Good things happen when you want them to - or when you least expect them to. So, we're confident that great things will happen and soon. ♥
