"The Depths" Original Story: 2009
Added 2022-05-05 22:19:09 +0000 UTCWe were going through our things for the move to the new house (loan application willing), and found a hard drive with files we hadn't seen nor heard from in a decade or more.
For those curious, this was the actual "The Depths" story we were going to try. This was the one we were going to work on with the late Rusty Haller, sadly long gone now. He passed away about a month after this document was created.
He was so excited to work on this. And we were positively devastated at his sudden death.
We were absolutely determined to get this story out somehow. We just unfortunately went an entirely different route.
But as you can see, it had such promise we thought.
Rest in peace, Rusty. We still miss you very, very much. ♥

Quite a different tale, much more straight-forward. Ya know, one good thing to come from Marvel is the popularization of multiverses and "what if" tales. If you want to, I'm sure you could release this as an alternate story!
