Leilani has grabbed onto Malana’s tail and strains to hold her back. Malana is in full rage mode, paws at the ready for a fight, but something in her expression shows she is also crying.
LEILANI: thought bubble **No, Malana! They’ll kill you!**
Panel 2:
Tahnee holds Kalea close still. Kalea’s head has drooped backwards and it’s clear she has drowned. The manta-ray looks surprised as she sees something…
Panel 3:
Close-up to Leilani’s paw, showing the golden glow still emanating from it.
Panel 4:
Tahnee’s expression changes somewhat – stern but not exactly threatening.
TAHNEE: mental send **You must come with us now…**
Panel 5:
Leilani floats closer to the group, in front of Malana, still holding her arm, while trying to show a peaceful gesture. Malana looks inconsolable.
LEILANI: thought bubble **We will…if you mean us no harm…**
Panel 6:
Back to Tahnee, and her expression seems to indicate a sneer.
TAHNEE: mental send **You have little choice… **
Panel 7:
As she’s speaking, the other mantas surround the girls, who are now struggling to hold their breaths.
Panel 8:
They are led away into the distance, with the Blue Raider ship still in the foreground.
VERY grateful to Roy for pulling this off! This was a lot of work for him. =(
